Colin you have absolutely nailed this you tube thing . Your vids are simply fantastic , site tours, van tips, humour and photos combined with a very watchable personality , inspired every time I watch them, cheers fella.
Had to laugh, Col! You told us how you keep the smoke from the van from the firepit and then sat there with a beer, the firepit roaring and the side door wide open! Clearly, a case of dont do as do, do as i say.😂😂 Looks like a great site to visit. Fab vlog.
Aah thankyou Colin loved this week's campsite, Your a star man thankyou for your time and videos, I love early Saturday morning coffee toast and catchup of your latest upload. ❤ Bren
Great video - cave added to my list of places to go . Quality of videos is ace and that image of the van and the stars is magnificent . ( my iPhone could never get that !)
I don’t know if you’ve ever covered “Hodge close”, but that’s another brilliant walk from cathedral caves and it’s seriously worth a look. If you fancy a challenge go down into the mouth of it via parrot quarry instead of the beaten track 😃
Ace mate and must go there, we’ve recently gone solo stove, expensive to buy but almost smokeless and it can double up as a bbq, amazingly the base of it doesn’t get hot so you could possibly use it on the ground. Thanks for sharing again mate 👌👍
Another great find Colin there literally is so much to see in this country who needs to go abroad. Being a pot noodle connoisseur myself I always find a spork comes in handy covers all bases 😊 another great video by the way.
What another great video, thanks for sharing, I was curious if you deliberately choose camping instead of wild camping, 30 pounds for a night I don't think is a bargain price
Thanks buddy, I do love a good wild camp in the van. I'll be throwing a few in over the year matey. I go to campsites as a lot of people like to see them before they go themselves,.. It pains me to pay to stay in my own van 🤣🤣 as a Yorkshire man even £1 is too expensive for a campsite 🤣🤣!
I was waiting for a "Nice"... Nice... Nice..... in that cave. I have never been there, and am now thinking it looks fun for a van trip. Eau de Fire Pit - a new after shave from Yorkshire Pop Top Guy. It could catch on in the campervan, wild camping community. A question - I would love to know the settings you used to take that awesome shot of your van with the stars - I have been trying to do this for a while and only returned very poor results, despite ideas and settings.
Eau, de fire pit 🤣🤣🤣 So the camera settings are pretty straight forward. The gear used is important (not the be all and end all though) I used a Sony EV10 with a Samyang 12mm f2 lens (the f2 is the important bit) Camera settings F2 (12mm) Shuttet speed 10 seconds exposure ISO 2000 Focus to infinity Hope that helps bud
@@Yorkshirepoptopadventures Cheers, I have a Nikon Df, with an F1.8 50mm lens, and a Leica X with an F1.7 lens - so will experiment with those settings and see what happens. Might have a few nights in Whitby coming up - so will be fun to see if I get a clear night.
See, chilling out is my idea of camping but for some reason my husband turns into a 6 year old with constant “what are we doing next?” and “you can’t just sit around” - he needs to take a leaf out of your book!
Colin you are a natural at this, first van channel I’ve followed in ages! Witty, relevant and well edited. Keep doing what you’re doing and thank you!

You know your content is good when I take time to sit down with a beer and some nuts to watch it on the tv.

Was down in Ambleside a couple of weeks ago, just missed you! Some lovely walks there, went to Rydal cave, pretty cool!
love sitting down to watch your vids. keep them coming
Cathedral caves, very stunning location and if you follow the Witcher tv programme, some scenes were filmed in there. Great video again mate 👍

Epic. Theme tunes back. The kids had a good ol’ dance around the living room. Haha

Safe travels ,Gill & Mark in Leeds
Another great vid, all i want to do now is hike and camp on my own... mrs will not be too happy :D
Those caves are awesome. Been going for years and only discovered them the year before last
What a fascinating place, the cave! It looks as though you have to have good mobility to see it though. Loved the starry photo. Stay well and safe.
Bloody love this, you are a legend !
Love the starlit van shot, Slaters Bridge is only a short walk from Cathedral cave and is perfect for a spring or summer picnic and paddle.
Nice to see ya, to see ya nice….
That photo of the starlit van looked lovely.
Hi, Great night shot of the van Colin, another cracking video (I won’t mention the continuity error … boots on … trainers on …. boots on lol!)
Hahaha shhh! 🤣🤣
Hi I got that far and then further 😂 Cathedral caves looked amazing and I loved the colours. Take care Gill

I’d love to have a Camper van even if it smelt of firepit, cheesy corn puffs or boy farts! Thanks Colin!

You need a solo stove Col. no smoke or smelly clothes. They are the daddy of fire pits!
is that a camera bag with a pot noodle compartment or a pot noodle bag with a camera compartment ?
