Roman: How long you know Sargent Platt?
Dawson: A long time...
Roman: well she's a real pain in the a** 😂😂
Dawson: That is true.
I’d say something more colourful but it would probably get blocked
The kid giving a bb gun LMAO brilliant.
BB gun are deathly
@@flower5833 only that wasnt a bb gun
BB guns ARE GUNS the fire steel ball or pellet projectile and are used for target shooting and pest control
what he handed in was a airsoft gun plastic projectile shot at far far far FAR lower speeds at best it stings the only real danger they pose is if you shoot someone in the eye
and judging by the fact his was see thru that was probably a shitty wal-mart springer at best you would notice you got hit with it
@@Sarge92 ok
The "iz a gun ain't it?" Got me 😂😂
@@vampasltyt4330 That kid has more attitude than more people in my country
God bless the kid, he is street smart.
i feel like the sgt was being a bit negligent here, were they meant to just pretend that the gun wasnt potentially used in a triple homicide and then let the guy get away because it was the only piece of evidence?
At the same time it’s basically the law, it’s a no questions asked gun drop off point, having a hunch and investigating i bc of a hunch gets rid of the point of the no questions asked part, if there was blood on the weapon that would be a different story but having a hunch and investigating isn’t really appropriate in this scinario
@@JaydenWalsh-wl8tp yeah thats fair actually, i suppose it depends on the certainty of the weapon, i still think that if it matches the description and is the only piece of evidence that it should at least be looked into after the day is done, without informing the person who dropped it off unless absolutely necessary.
I thought that's a comedy?
@@JaydenWalsh-wl8tp It wasn't a hunch though. Roman recalled witness statements stating that they saw a white tipped gun used by the perpetrator. He encountered a gun that was dropped off by a woman, who said the gun was dropped off in her garden within a reasonable proximity of the homicide. This isn't a hunch
@@JaydenWalsh-wl8tp i would question if them taking it KNOWING its a homicide weapon and destroying it counts as destruction of evidence
at which point the police are knowingly providing a evidence destruction service
also it defeats the point which is to mae the streets safer
now if you had a change of heart and wanted to giveup the life sure i wont ask where you got that glock 9mm with the scratched off serial or the uzi fine ill take it and forget about you
but if you bring me a gun dripping in blood thats clearly clearly been used to kill someone sorry but i have a bigger duty to the comunity here
in canada we have a similar program but obviously a gun where ballistics or a serial number match an unsolved or open homicide would definitely be exempt from the 'no questions asked' policy.
Such a shame for the fact that she doesn't want to help them. This is a homicide, it should at least be considered one, and let them do the investigation.
cool man
Is that for real. the whole No Questions asked gun return and give them a voucher thing ?
More or less. It accomplishes nothing of course, other than getting a couple of gullible civilians to turn in their guns that they were never going to use to commit crime in the first place, and of course giving criminals a legal way of getting rid of the illegal guns they already used to commit crimes, no questions asked.
@@cynderfan2233 well, isnt that kind of encouraging criminals? The killer here almost got away with it due to no questions asked policy. The biggest issue for criminals is to hide the incriminating weapon, seems like here the Police is offering the perfect getaway
@@udraj914 Hiding incriminating weapons is probably the smallest issue for criminals, people only really keep them if they plan to continue using them otherwise you could pretty much just ditch them anywhere anonymously.
The idea comes from countries with less guns in supply. Specifically where guns are heavily restricted and not really worth importing. Heavy restrictions/penalties make guns far more expensive and if guns aren't used much in an area even criminals will be less inclined to get one. In places like that, it's mostly about reducing the amount of previously legal but now illegal guns that could possibly enter the market. Think of someone for example who kept an old antique weapon from their family, and wants to get rid of it but doesn't want it to fall into the wrong persons hands.
Seems like it'd mostly be pretty useless in the US though. United States manufactures more guns than any other country in the world, so no matter how many guns you take off the street or are surrendered there will be more guns filtering their way through the system.
*Throws gun on desk*

Hi. l like CHICAGO P.D. 😃
Hi
Wait did burgess get demoted?
Its an old episode
Touristen 😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢
It's an interesting moral, ethical and political dilemma. However, in the end, all that is necessary is for said gun to 'mysteriously' end up in Homicide's hands. Unfortunately, it just turned out that it had been found by a pair of eager rookies who don't appreciate nuance!
OMG NOT COOL
We don’t care about u
@@Lamaalgh2007 ok man
This buy back guns no questions asked thing is so stupid. It ain’t gonna stop crime, just give a convenient way for people to get rid of guns they used in crimes and then being able to get away with it.
Also, it’s no questions asked to the person who brought it in, never said they can’t identify the gun as evidence of a crime that person had no part in.
I hear ya. In Canada we had some amnesty days so people could bring in any gun and turn it in, no questions asked. about 10 years ago a local barn burned and thre bomb squad had to be called as all the amnesty guns were not destroyed or even unloaded but stored in so said barn. Over 1000 guns. I say just put a serial # on all casings and charge more for the bullets and ask for id on all bullet sales. that may help
Third lol
