Yeah Tix used to be a free thing you got just for logging in. You could get so much stuff just with free Tix. They got rid of it because they realized it wasn't profitable to give people good free stuff. That's about when I stopped playing.

Yep, I was way too involved in the black market and erp shit when I was a kid looking back on it some of the stuff I thought was "normal" was so fucked up. I wasted so much money getting scammed by people online and dude the websites on which that kinda stuff happened had threads for nsfw stuff and people selling drugs all the time.

When I was 14 on xbox I told an adult I was friends with about the sexual things another one of our friends was saying to me, and I didn't know this at the time, but he called the police on him since he was 20. Then fucking Interpol contacted my school to talk to me since he was from the UK and I'm in the US. But I was wayy too scared to testify or anything, so I never did it. Now I really wish that I did.

The casualness of how the 12-year-old says erp like it's such a normalized thing for her absolutely disgusts me no matter how much I hear that clip. Not disgusted at her, mind you, at the culture where that's such a normal thing. I was also a part of that culture when I was her age so I can relate to a lot of the things she says and man,,, the internet is such a bad place for creative kids sometimes.

It's extremely important because it's yet another weapon in the arsenal against the many crimes of Roblox.
Unfortunately, big companies losing money is going to enact change a lot faster than children getting sexually abused.
Bringing up pedophelia relies on the government to take action, bringing up copyright infringement relies on other companies to take action. The difference being, other companies can act much more swiftly and decisively than the government in the short term. Of course, agencies can get involved and shut this down fast but legislation will be super slow as always.

yep, and now, the only way you can express your avatar is through your mommy's credit card. there are a few garbage free hats, NO free shirts/pants (some tshirts i think are free but don't quote me, haven't played in years). it's impossible to be free-to-play anymore without looking like a default. and ever since the anthro update you can now look like a fortnite abomination. the blocky avatars are out-of-meta.

I worked for a tutor company that taught roblox as coding and completely had kids buy into paying 400 dollars a month to have there kid play roblox
I remember there was two solid pokemon games on Roblox with one being more unique story wise than the other being a direct copy of the first game. At one point they disappeared and I heard that Nintendo took them down.

Why doesn’t Roblox just partner with different game development companies and allow them to slap their names on a shitty sonic/fortnite/csgo remake? It would allow Roblox to avoid their inevitable legal issues while still earning plenty of money as the facilitator of the game. Seems like a win-win; Roblox avoids getting sued, and game developers get cheap advertisement along with some easy money from their cut of in-game profits.
Profit margins. Game companies would demand a way larger (more reasonable and fair) cut of the revenue each game their brand makes. Roblox makes a ton now even with their cuts, and to further subtract that would make them lose a lot more money, not to mention other issues as well.
You've never spent a day in the industry, have you? You don't seem to have any idea of how game development works in any way. You're changing the profit eco system to be something completely different. Something completely unfeasible. Roblox will never do it because it means they'll make a hundreth of the money.

I think we know why.....
I know this video is old, and I’ve watched a lot of other people react to and I’ve watched the original video myself, but hearing Sarah’s story was somehow validating as someone who was groomed in this fashion; the adults around me didn’t treat what happened to me with any sort of respect or validity, and it gives me some sort of peace that Sarah *was* taken care of and the people around her cared.
It’s one of those odd things when someone else has gone through the same horror as you, that it feels like you’re not alone even in the most terrible experiences.
Back in the day armour trimming was the biggest problem but now kids are getting scammed with in game assets
Roblox sounds like it was meant to be a cyberpunk esk commentary on a capitalist dystopia but it was too subtle and people just went for it
I started playing roblox back in 2008. I was 10, and it was great. I still hop on it as I have limited worth millions and I check the prices of them every month and I don't know what to do with them. I loved roblox as a kid, but thank God I grew up and quit playing in 2016ish Era. I was a developer/builder and never made a penny from my games or work
