What surprised me on this drive was the "no passing" on that very long stretch of US 395 with no cross streets, farms, etc., with the thin pylons to reinforce that rule (though obviously a lot of them got removed by being hit, LOL). It would be interesting to know why they don't allow people passing on what would be flat stretches with very little reason to be concerned. I'm guessing because it's too remote for emergency vehicles to tend to accidents in a timely manner, so perhaps it's to cut down on the possibility of accidents. But another nice drive. Always good to see you go these "new directions" and a whole new area to learn about. Is Death Valley one of your destinations on this trip?
Hi David. I'm not totally sure about the no-passing area. Perhaps they've had one too many head-on collisions on that stretch. It would seem safe because you can see for a long ways, but I've seen a lot of people do stupid things on roads like that. Death Valley was not part of this trip. I went north on 395 to Bishop and eventually Lake Tahoe, and I took some interesting side trips along the way. All that will be coming up in the weeks ahead. Right now I'm in Colorado again. Once we finish up with the 395/Tahoe stuff there will be a few videos from Utah and a ton of stuff from Colorado. I've got my work cut out for me editing all the footage I'm getting. Anyhow, it's good to hear from you. Thanks for watchiing
@@ASunnyAdventure Great. I'm always looking forward to anything new, and Utah/Colorado seem to have lots to see. I've got a couple "hope you do thats" in my wish list, so let's see what you do. :-) I'll let you know if you nail them.
Love the trip ❤❤
Thanks. I'm glad you enjoyed it.
Beautiful trip. My old stomping grounds. Compliments to the excellent driving BTW 😊
