Funny how Sailor moon came out before PreCure yet Toei treats PreCure MUCH better. Why did season 1 and 2 of SMC have CGI transformations and not the iconic hand drawn ones? I'm so glad they fixed it in season 3 but god forbid PreCure do this, instant riots.
Cgi in animes are not bad and the transformations were well done. Precure endings are almost whole made of cgi and these looks good. Plus Crystal's artstyle is based on manga one, so if you have some issues with artstyle blame the creator, not company.

But Sailor Moon's original 90's transformation theme for her first transformation _(Moon Prism Power, Make-Up!)_ was nowhere *NEAR* _this_ gorgeous and powerful sounding. Even the transformation CHOREOGRAPHY was better. True, it was ruined by the cheap CGI, (which Toei supposedly did to save on time and money) but if Toei had either upped the budget and used QUALITY CGI effects, or animated the transformations using the same artstyle as the rest of seasons 1-2, this would have been absolutely GORGEOUS and PERFECT. I hate that people keep crapping on _Sailor Moon: Crystal_ when it was closer to what creator Naoko Takeuchi _herself_ wanted. She has often publicly complained about how the original SM was so far removed from her vision and how they turned her characters into stereotypes.

Yes! The Smile Precure transformation theme has a similar structure and individual parts compare as well, just switched around a little bit. After hearing both for a while I couldn't avoid hearing it.
They made it with a computer, these are all virtual instruments. Even the voices. No physical instruments or singers were hurt in the making of the Crystal OST

I mean Ami/Sailor Mercury literally became a part of the team in episode two when in the original, Sailor Moon was a force of one for about 20 episodes. Plus, it took her a few episodes for Usagi to fall in love with Tuxedo Mask, but in the Crystal remake, it was so fast-forwarded which I don’t really like.
