Yasuharu Takanashi is a gifted composer, I learned that from his work on the Naruto Shippuuden OSTs. When I heard he was doing music for Crystal, I was delighted... Rei v Mars themes going from soft to rich instrumentation is exactly his style and fits so well. He's a Japanese John Williams.
I like that the music is split in two first is for Rei and then the second is when she channels her inner Sailor Senshi as Mars. This goes for all the other Guardians.
As a sailor moon fans! I like both! 90s and crystal cuz both of them is sailor moon! Everything is same! But crystal have better animation and 90s have better story! So both is the best! Can’t wait for sailor moon cosmos coming!
