THE ROLLING STONES "CAN'T YOU HEAR ME KNOCKING",, "MONKEY MAN" ,,"MISS YOU" & "ANGIE"
Paint in black!!!!!!!
Love you guys❤ love the accents. ❤ but say Vibe, not Wibe😊❤
Who the hell writes lyrics like this? Pure genius.
Good lyrics are written by people with cultural hinterland and wide interests, usually.
i think it's jagger's lyrics
Lucifer
...and to think, writing songs like this in their early twenties.
@Recuts did you mean Travis Scott? If you did, you’re spot on!!!! His lyrics and production are reminiscent of the great Pink Floyd
"Paint It Black", my friends. Trust me.
This is the greatest song ever written and sung.
Both The Rolling Stones and The Beatles they are the best of all Rock and roll times!!
I swear I've heard this song 1000 times, and it's originality continues to amaze me with every listen. For me personally, this isn't just peak Stones, this might be peak rock and roll.
Can't You Hear Me Knocking is another obvious must listen guys🙌.
YES!!...My favorite Stones song!.."Cant you hear me knockin'" guys!..For sure!
One of the dirtiest guitar tones and riffs ever
That opening riff is fire 🔥
One of the best Keith Richards riffs
Absolutely dude, they really should try that one
Just laid my brother to rest, 56 years young, played this song during his service. Love his taste in music, love him........
I am very sorry for your lost. Will send peace and solance out to the universe for you and yours. Stay safe and healthy .
The more you listen to the Stones - the more you realize that they are amazing musical monsters that no band ever came close to. These are the winners of the "rock and roll" contest. Hands down!
This is one of those Stones songs offered as caution for the dangers of world - but you can know the world is dangerous and still keep dancing.
Rolling Stones are my favorite rock band thanks great reaction
Wild horses. Another beautiful song.
After many years of hearing this song I finally understand the meaning. It's about humanity taking responsibility the wrong doings and not just blaming it all on something humanity invented called the devil.
That's my interpretation of the lyrics too!
The Ultimate Scapegoat.....
People need to take some responsibility instead of blaming it all on the devil
call it what you will but evil is real...a name is a name
@@alansmith7626 Evil only exist in the mind...
Rolling stones-can't you hear me knocking?
One of the best Keith Richards riffs
The Beatles were cute. The Stones were BAD BOYS. 🤟
People fall into two groups
Stones fans and Beatles fans. Which one are u?
@@kikivon3501 im.a fan of both..but I only like The Beatles but I LOVE THE STONES
Absolutely agree...Stones never got credit for awesome lyrics..and so MANY WONDERFUL SONGS.. I really doubt that anyone under 40 has listened to half of the stones songs
Rolling Stones/Wild Horses studio version
Helene here: Rolling Stones are “old fashioned” blues rock....and have kept their same sound and focus throughout their hugely long career.....probably the longest career of any band alive. George, if you don’t stop pushing that button four times a song I’m going to scream.....Patrick, how did you deal with him when you were kids? 😜
The Four Tops , 1953 till now, but only one original left. The Beach Boys are a year or two older than the Stones, still together. Neither as successful for so long though.
Agree Helene= nothing ruins a great song more than stopping it several times!! Brothers, PLAY THE SONG ALL THE WAY THROUGH, then your input, please!!!
Bro's, you'll love their "Jumpin' Jack Flash", "She's So Cold" and "You Can't Always Get What You Want",the last one must be the album version with the choir. Try "Angie" and "Wild Horses" for the softer side of Mick's vocals.
And "Play With Fire".
See I prefer the live version of You can’t always get what you want 😂 i know I’m in the minority on that one
He's saying we (humanity) are the devil.. "Who killed the Kennedy's?", "When after all it was you and me", and near the end of the song he sings "I'll tell you one time"," You're to blame".. That's why it's "Sympathy for the Devil".. We are only human..
Picking a favorite Stones song is like picking a favorite Beatles, Who, Zepp song. The catalog of wonderful selections is so vast. Anything off the "Let It Bleed", "Sticky Fingers" or "Exile On Main Street" albums are stellar. "Can You Hear Mr Knocking" has one of the best instrumental jams of ANY classic 60-70's rock song available. Rock on young Brothers.
Ikr like picking your favorite child...Can't do it!✌❤
My favorite Stones song!! Used to drive a 1969 Pontiac GTO convertible really fast to this song. Good memories.
Mick Jagger is a great grandfather now and Keith Richards is 377 years old. Ponder that.
LOL .. 😁
I heard about a guy that smoked a bowl of Keith Richards toenails, and was high for 3 days......
@@2869may Ewe gross!!!!
I took a time machine 50 years into the future, and Keith Richards bummed a cigarette from me.
@@sjd5750 Haha .. no doubt
May I suggest the studio version of The Rolling Stones - 'Gimme Shelter', possibly one of the greatest intro's ever recorded.
This is my favourite Stones track. Seen them live ...amazing.
What a bass line in there !
Yes, and it's Keith!
Most intelligent and hisrorically aware reaction to this tune I've heard...and I've heard a lot. Bravo! and thanks.
"MISS YOU" is really good as well...!
You make me happy about how you totally get, not only the music, but the nature of the bands and their members.
The Stones and
The Beatles were close to simultaneous in their arrivals and completely different. The Stones were straight up bad boys. The Beatles had their dark lyric songs as well but their music made it much harder to pick up on.
One of the best Rock and Roll Bands ever! This song was in alot of tv shows and movies. The closing scene in "An Interview With A Vampire" comes to mind, (an awesome cover by Guns and Roses). Such a great tune. "Paint It Black" and "Wild Horses", "Angie", and "Gimme Shelter", and "Satisfaction"..etc, etc.❤🤘
Yes Yes and Yes 😊
Very powerful song ... IF you know History.
Mick was influenced by a book that his girlfriend gave him, The Master and Margarita. The theme of the song comes from the book.
This is lyrically sublime , this is art
Satisfaction. One of the most iconic guitar riffs ever.
I have come to prefer the faster Live Version, over the years. That would be a cool one to do.
Satisfaction is known as the first guitar that used distortion.
@@jimdavis8864 the kinks did first....
Not even in my top ten but anyway
What makes us happy is the African-derived rhythm, what makes it a cool rock song is what the Stones put on and around the groove. Sympathy For The Devil was the first time they managed to connect their sound to more overt African rhythms. Over the next ten years they made some very serious deep dives into the groove: Hot Stuff, Fingerprint File, Miss You, etc. They can rock ferociously, but they put the 'roll' in their name...
This song came out in 1968, it is off of "Beggar's Banquet". If you like the piano on the tract it's played by Nicky Hopkins. if there's a classic song from that era with great piano, chances are it's Nicky. The song has nothing to do with praising the devil as some (not necessarily you) would believe. "After all, it was you and me." The devil per the legend simply offers an alternative choice, it's up you to make the right decision. If you don't, don't blame Lucifer.
Exactly.....free will
The last lyric says it all. "Hey baby, I'll tell you one time, You're to blame" Meaning people blame every evil on the Devil but in the end it comes down to we are all to blame.
You guys are awesome, your intelligence shines thru everytime!
My interpretation of this song has always been that Mick is literally singing the Devil's POV, that's why it's upbeat, he's having fun, it's a big FU. On another level, the human level (I'm not religious at all), it's about watching out (like you say at the end) for the pits you can fall into if you're not careful
What a great reaction guys! You got it right from the start of the song. It's hilarious watching some of the other reactors listening to this and don't get it until the name 'Lucifer' comes up.... Who else can come up with these sort of lyrics and make such a great track. As you said, they came at the subject from a completely different angle, which catches everyone else out.
You guys should react to Grand Funk Railroad - Inside Looking Out 1969 (it’s live). You’ll really enjoy this band.
“Start me up” and “Waiting on a friend” music videos please, shows off their different personalities.
This song came out in that wonderful year 1968. Two months after the T-62's clattered in downtown Prague. Chapter 15
The Master and Margarita (Michail Afanas'evič Bulgakov) 🖤
Great reaction guys!...you expressed your pure & true appreciation for the essence of what The Rolling Stones are!
Back in the day, they were considered the "bad boys" where The Beatles were the good boys (that is, until Lennon decided to really speak his mind).
The title, Sympathy for The Devil provokes in and of itself. However it's really a unique way of saying, don't blame the evil in this world on this manmade boogieman...we humans must take responsibility for our evil actions. Poor devil gets all the blame...have pity on him!!
the best live performance of the song was on Rolling Stones' Rock Circus in 1968. Mick is fantastic there.
The late, GREAT Nicky Hopkins on piano. R.I.P.
More Stones: Brown Sugar, You Can't Always Get What You Want, Waiting on a Friend, Can't You Hear Me Knocking, Let it Bleed, Sweet Virginia (live)
The members came to Brazil to spend their vacations, exactly in the state of Bahia...some of them made a point of visiting some temples of African religious rituals...they left there almost with their underwear full because they were scared and surprised... They returned home and used the inspiration of the trip to compose this song!
That concert at Altamont speedway, some scary scenes.
I was there. We were leaving early and the stabbing happened just afterwards. Strange and creepy situation. I think the devil was there that day.
BroAction, The Stones are celebrating their fifty years as a rock band.
ROLLING STONES, "SYMPATHY FOR THE DEVIL"... ICONIC SONG. NEXT SHOULD BE "CAN YOU HEAR ME KNOCKING?"... ANOTHER UNFORGETABLE TUNE...
If you want sad and emotional from the Stones i recommend: "Wild Horses"
You'd love Jigsaw Puzzle by them. Same album as Sympathy For The Devil.
Out of every reaction person/duo, I've only subscribed to 3. Even long before covid I had watched hundreds of reactions. I'm a single middle aged male who has his beer/weed/a job/food/and you tube, plus a love of hockey.lol. Watching intelligent cool younger people get off on the best music from the best genre of music (1963-1980 imo) is what keeps a lot of people going during these times. It's one of the few positive things knowing there is probably a good new reaction waiting when you check out you tube. It's something to look forward to. Also your reactions are great and you're likeable. Consider yourselves my 4th subscription. Cheers, the canadian Queen nut.
Wow. Same here. I agree that they are one of the best reactors and I am also a Queen freak Canadian.
@@JaneSmith-lu8ol , I can't resist. I have a great sense of humor and am outspoken about things that are important to me (music/my guitar/movies/history/the environment/current politics on a global scale/blah blah blah). I also hate political correctness. Having said that, if your ever in the Ottawa area head to Sud's Car Wash and I'll give you a freebie. Freebie car wash I mean. LOL. Cheers
One of the top ten bands ever.
I know essentially all Bands in and out you guys are getting into and will get into😂. However, the Stones are always my Top Band of all time✌.
…from Day One, my favorite Stones song…..thanks for posting….
In the 60s and 70s, my friends and I absolutely loved the Stones. To us, their music was new and exciting with catchy tunes, a great beat and lyrics you could sing along to. Songs like Satisfaction, It's All Over Now, The Last Time and my personal favourite Paint It Black (God, I love that song!) not forgetting Street Fighting Man, Jumping Jack Flash, Brown Sugar, crikey, the list is endless. We couldn't hardly wait for the next Stones record to come out and it always stormed up the charts and they were often on Top of the Pops, practically the only pop programme we had in the UK at that time. Such a massive influence on the music industry - happy days!
Off topic a bit, but there,s a singer/songwriter from Georgia called Katie Melua. Her husband James Toseland has a rock band called Toseland, check out the song "Renegade". He used to be a motorcycle racer until an injury forced him to retire. He was World Superbike Champion in 2004 and 2007. Now he plays a mean piano!!!
"Brown Sugar" off Sticky Fingers!
Great! Thank you guys .
Guys, I love the passion you both have for music!
This is my favorite #RollingStones song, so smart, love it. And agree, impossible not to move 😎
This is the next to last album that Brian Jones (one of The Stones founders) was on. It came out in 1969, the same year as Jones' death.
I figured 2 guys from Georgia would understand the reference to St. Petersburg and Anastasia screaming in vane. By the look on your face, I was right- you got it.
The Rolling Stones ARE rock n roll.
Be told.
The recording of this song was filmed by Jean-Luc-Goddard in the studio. Film has the same name as the song..
I got to see them live in 1978 in Anaheim (Southern CA). My ticket was $9.50. They were 5 hours late (very common for them). It was festival seating, meaning you could sit anywhere you wanted. Over 100,00 people, high as kites, in the heat, squished, patiently waiting the The Stones. It was memorable!
Stones rule!! ❤❤❤❤
Guys, I love your reactions. You both absolutely get it and I'm sure we all feel the same about the music you listen to and share with us all. You're also right about the power and genius of the songwriting of Jagger and Keith Richards. This song was the soundtrack to a whole generation of hippies back in the '60's and '70's. and STILL stands the test of time for all of us who lived through those years. God bless.
Man! I forget how great some of these songs are until I listen to them with you or other reactors. Love my era, age is just a number. The songs just feel good!
As a concert fan all my life I was lucky enough to see the Stones during their "Steel Wheels" tour. Amazing! Took us 4 hours just to get out of the parking lot! It was an outdoor concert and soooo many people! Can't wait until concerts can start again.
Man, that was brilliant - I knew the title of the song but couldn't remember how it went as I hadn't heard it for ages. As soon as Mick Jagger started singing, I recognised it - wow, I love the lyrics and the piano playing. Great reaction, guys, there are so many fab songs by the Rolling Stones. I had quite a few of their albums.
Enjoy you guys. Ty…
Your reactions are great fun to watch. Great song selection.
You guys should have way more subscribers. Come on people give the bros some love for their great reactions!
Honky Tonk Woman, and then Tumbling Dice...in that order...
The Rolling Stones "She's A Rainbow" & "Ruby Tuesday"
I saw them in germany in 73 or74 great band
It's all in the bass guys (this song I think Kieth plays the bass ) then the perfect timing of the slashing cutting lead guitar , perfectly measured leaving you wanting and waiting for more ....thats Kieths delivery ...he never tries to show off, for him it's all about the spaces and the groove ...off courser this is one of the songs that propelled the Stones into Legends , there has never been an equal to the lyrics and delivery as far as `I am concerned. They are the true chameleons of music always changing mutating but always remaining in the same shape .....thanks for your channel
Grandgrandpa73 here. The Song sound happy because the Devil is happy. He work bove side's!
Paint it black and Sister Morphine. Great ones to react to.
Couldn't not drive fast when this came on the care radio!
Guys one of my best memories is when my wife and saw the Stones at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas Texas. It was the Steel Wheels tour. During this song Keith Richards was right in front of us playing this lead. We were sitting on the 3rd row right in front of Keefe. Our minds were blown.
Midnight Rambler is top notch too
Welcome to the Stones
Please allow me to introduce myself
I'm a man of wealth and taste
I've been around for a long, long years
Stole million man's soul an faith
And I was 'round when Jesus Christ
Had his moment of doubt and pain
Made damn sure that Pilate
Washed his hands and sealed his fate
Pleased to meet you
Hope you guess my name
But what's puzzling you
Is the nature of my game
Stuck around St. Petersburg
When I saw it was a time for a change
Killed Tsar and his ministers
Anastasia screamed in vain
I rode a tank
Held a general's rank
When the blitzkrieg raged
And the bodies stank
Pleased to meet you
Hope you guess my name, oh yeah
Ah, what's puzzling you
Is the nature of my game, oh yeah
I watched with glee
While your kings and queens
Fought for ten decades
For the gods they made
LUCIFER
Have you ever watched the movie"FALLEN"???? If you do your brian will explode!!!!!!! DENZEL WASHINGTON and John Goodman,?!!!!!! 2 songs by Stones 'TIME IS ON MYSIDE' and SYMPATHY FOR THE Devil

My older sister is probably the biggest Stones fan ever. I grew up listening to them. You should react to "Doo Doo Doo Doo Doo (Heartbreaker) from Goat Head Soup. It's another incredible song with lyrics that make you think.
It’s thought provoking. There are those who need to hear and understand the lyrics and the meaning.
Paint it Black is another very deep lyrical song...IF you pay attention. Y’all will totally get it.
So great!
"One hit to the body" Rolling Stones, tells a Powerful story. Check it out sometime.
SUBSCRIBED! The Stones are in a class by themselves. "Gimme Shelter" is the best anti-war song/statement ever. Heading over to see your reactions! 😎
The one that most don't know is "2000 light years from home" they experimented with Psychedelic rock sounds more like pink floyd but not quite. I dare you
Stray Cat Blues is one that is a straight up nasty rocker, you won’t regret doing this song, very risky lyrics for the time that only the Stones could have gotten away with, down and dirty rock n roll Rolling Stones style
Enjoyed where you guys from. The stones are immortal.Take care from the uk.
QUEEN i want it all reaction
BACK IN 67 YOU GUYS!!! LMAO :) THAT'S INSANE! TIMELESS TIMELESS TIMELESS
I like the little English phrase written on the yellow wall..
Here I sit broken hearted...
This is my favorite rock song perhaps of all time. I love your reaction to it. It is brilliant poetry backed by their sound perfectly. Just a masterpiece.
The Rolling Stones are rock and roll personified.
Great job, guys!
"Miss You" is awesome
They are on a different plain.
Great Song🎵👌
