20 or so years ago a common juniper bush was planted outside my kitchen window and it has had a slow steady growth. I have had an interest in bonsi but I have never attempted to create a tree. I will take a picture and send it to you. I probably should wait until deep winter before digging it up in order to not kill it.
I'd honestly recommend spending a few years practicing with less special trees first, to build up some skills before going all in on something so old. Also, if you re-pot it you have to wait at least a year before putting too much stress on it, the stress of re-potting alone, if it spent it's whole life in the ground, is pretty shocking to the plant for a good long while. You may also consider potting it in a very large pot at first, and then year by year reducing the pot a little bit until it is the ideal size. Some people just go straight for it, but a tree that is over 20 years old is special. I'd go and buy a dozen or so trees of the same species to practice on.

a question: I noticed on several Bonsai with dead wood (?) that there is a color difference. Is that only due to the fact that the dead parts lost the bark and went through a natural bleaching process over time due to the sunlight etc. or do you paint / coat the dead wood to keep it intact longer? or both?

Waldemar Marchesi bonsais cant grow in most of the wild environment of Texas. You must be confused with another tree
ForDaLols Bonsai is not a type of tree. Most trees can be made into a bonsai
How old is this bonsai? I always loved bonsai. I plan hopefully find one that I can hopefully develop.

Nice trees but the aggravating music!! Gah! Couldn't finish
Yeah I can't stand the music. Stopped watching at around 1:54
You could have finished it, if only you turned the sound off.
What is up with the fucking pickiness these days on RUclips? You’re getting free content!
Very beautiful bonsai !!
What's this white parts ? This parts is living?
As always, inspiring and beautiful trees.. keep them episodes comming!
a question:
I noticed on several Bonsai with dead wood (?) that there is a color difference. Is that only due to the fact that the dead parts lost the bark and went through a natural bleaching process over time due to the sunlight etc. or do you paint / coat the dead wood to keep it intact longer?
or both?
Acid is painted on the dead wood and oil on the live trunk . Bit more to it than that but thats the basics .
@@jasonfisher3778 thank you for explaining!
Music it's okay, just a lil too loud for the video
Mate, if this bonsai costs 200K, how much cost the maintenance of it?, is a big honor put your hand in a beauty like that, but also there is a big responsibility too involved. There is any kind of insurance for those kind tress? Excellent job man.
Nervous when you start... happy when you finish. Great styling once again Bjorn.
Tony Tickle theres never a finish. Only refinement

So is the white part of the tree trunk dead wood? if so how does it manage to live with it attached/ how does it not break up the dead wood with the growth?
The music ain’t it bro gotta change thay
That is amazing and absolutely stunning how old is that tree and there's no way that costs 200 dollars! That's not even possible! I collect Bosnia and have paid many thousands for just one of that caliber!! We aren't talking about Wal-Mart Bosnia!!

Incredible hardwork and patience.
How long can the bonsai keep the shape after the work each time?
As always, I'm very impressed.
200k for a small house? Come to NW PA. House that expensive will suit a dam king around here. My house was bought for 20k and has two bathrooms one bath a kitchen two living rooms and three bedrooms one walk in closet and a laundry room. Garage and storage shed. One floor and a crawl space.
It was a bit of a fixer upper tho, and kinda ugly. Needed new water system and repaired pipes.
Music is hilarious. Beautiful tree!
