One single comment, superb! Fabrics are stunning, beautiful and well coordinated.....WOW!!!! Patterns, Suggestions, just flowed like silky milk chocolate.
I made your Stepping Stones pattern a couple of years ago for my granddaughter, named Hannah, out of mermaid fabrics. It turned out great! I had no idea you made videos. Thanks.
Great presentation guys 👍 Loved seeing the fabric with quilt suggestions for boys/men. I so enjoy your weekly shows and appreciate all of the work that goes into tbe preparation. Best wishes from Dublin, Ireland. 💖
Great 👍 job good show beautiful fabrics. You sold me 2 kits w deer 🦌 for men in my life Thank You. Manly prints hard to find. Especially Wildlife only thing my crew likes 🦌
Some of my thoughts on today's video: 1) In looking at the kit, "My Best Friend" with the dog theme, I saw that med-dark brown fabric as dog leashes; 2) I said, "Yes!" when Hannah did that nice needed closeup @ 16:15 to show the details of the prints on the 9-patch pattern; 3) Looking at the kit, "Coastline" I think it would look just great in cut in wide strips x WOF as in the pattern, "Checkmate" - AND going along with the guy theme (and perhaps a dog lover?), I can think of walking along a beach with or without his dog to think through a decision while enjoying the great outdoors. 4) You all did a great job at filling for the regular team on your videos, although I must say, I miss Donna's personality with her little bits of humor. Nice to see Donna, the one I heard you refer to many times in showing the designs she does on her long-arm quilting machine. And yikes! Hannah on the camera - nice job - with all your skills you're going to become an invaluable employee there. Of course it was nice to see John again as the presenter of the patterns and describing the kits. Thanks for another great "show".
Thank you for sharing. A gentleman in his 60s. Would like to make a quilt. What do you have for a beginner and what type of sewing machine doyou recommend
Video was well done considering there were no edits. The camera person was so great and steady, clear friendly voice from the guy, nice bowtie, and the wife is such a champ! My suggestions for men and boys: Colors: Solids, dark or favorite sports teams or colleges. Quilting: I don't think men or boys, generally, would like a quilt with free motion flowers or ribbons, I would stay walking foot stripes. Something they can use in front of friends as well. The suggestions are not fully based on gender, just general thoughts about average men and boys based on what they buy. Women equally love solids, dark colors, sports themes, and quilts without flowers or free motion quilting. So please do not feel a need to question your tastes, ever. Just make and buy what you like. My mom is a huge Raiders fan so she would probably buy a black and silver solid color quilt without flowers or ribbons on the quilt. I am opposite, so go figure. Haha. So, if you see a pattern that might look frilly or something your guy might not like, another good thing to do is to imagine it in his favorite colors, stitched in the ditch, and more solid colors, no fabric with patterns, or if the fabric has pattern, something like plaid or stripes, something a tie or suit would have. Anywho, just thoughts from a guy. What do you do?
The kit will make the top, borders and a single fold economy binding. You can see a tutorial on our web site www.fabriccafe.com. Click on the Tutorial button. Donna
Thanks for commenting! I use three, one-yard cuts of fabric to make each lap quilt. To make a Quilt of Valor, just use two, 3-yard kits or six yards of fabric. You'll find instructions for enlarging the patterns in my Quilt books. Donna
Hi Lynn, No pattern is duplicated from book to book. However, after a book has been in print for a few years, we begin to take patterns from the books and create individual patterns. Donna
Hi Billie, you can go to our website to see our current prices on our quilt kits. They typically range from $32 - $42 for the complete kit including the 3 yards of fabric and free quilt pattern.
Hi Mary Jo, I understand. There is a date right under the video that tells when it posted. We release new videos on Tuesday and Thursday, usually with all-new fabrics. If you subscribe and click notify me, you will receive a reminder. Thanks for watching! Donna

In your books...are any of the patterns duplicated? I hate to buy several books and then find out some of the patterns are the same.
Hi Lynn, No pattern is duplicated from book to book. However, after a book has been in print for a few years, we begin to take patterns from the books and create individual patterns. Donna
