I am enjoying your videos! I just spent $100- 3 kits (+ free book), and you shipped them immediately. The fabric is even more beautiful in person. Trying to be good and not buy more, but you're making difficult 😉
Do you explain which way to iron the seams when piecing in the books? I get so confused and end up repressing when trying to put them together. I have several patterns but no books yet. If you explain in the books I will start buying them instead. I love your kits!
I do not cover this issue in my books. The rule of thumb is to press toward the darkest fabric. Because I was a garment sewer first, when I first started quilting, I pressed my seams open. As long as you use a good quality thread and a shorter stitch length, you should have difficulty with pressing seams open. Donna
Hello I wanted to know if you have any video or patterns on quitting a quit for a baby? My daughter is having a baby and I want to make one for my grandbaby...
Hi Tammy, Although any of my patterns would work for babies and children, one of my books is Quilts for Kids. It has several great quilts for babies. Donna
I like your videos. However I have to say that your shipping charge is outrageous. I was going to order until I saw the charge for shipping. Most people charge a $5.00 fee for shipping, No shipping on $50.00 or over. Please reconsider lowering your shipping charge.
Hi Carol, thank you for your comment. Shipping is a very difficult subject to deal with. Postal charges continue to increase. After much deliberation, at this time, we find that it's best if will continue to offer free shipping over $100 and free books and patterns with the purchase of kits. Donna
Thanks for the lovely quilt trunk show. Donna, you make it hard to resist ordering! Love the gorgeous fabrics too.
You are so welcome! Donna
