Great content, but would much rather hear it in your voice rather an AI. Thank you
This has helped me a lot thank you
At 72 I recently heard a quote that has really impacted my view of life: “Comparison is the thief of joy”. I have often compared myself to others and felt lesser by comparison. And yes-it does rob me of joy. I’m working on discontinuing this harmful exercise.
🙂
Thank you, I needed to hear this.
I celebrate being 90 this year. I enjoy knowing that I'm the oldest person in the room and am lucky enough to be independent and able to look after my home and garden. Gardening still gives me so much pleasure and keeps me flexible.
Thanks for your comment. I’m a healthy 77 years old and aspire to have a few more productive years. Glad to read others are doing this.
Keep moving, my beautiful mama is 90, very active physically with line dancing , she still goes . No aches and pains. Has some dementia starting . But chasing great great grandchildren
Keep it up!
Have a great anniverssarry and take care 🖐💗💗🌹🌹
Fantastic 🎉
Rock on 🤘
I'm 73 and lost my husband from cancer after 47 years of marriage. I sold our cabin and sold our home and live in a 55+ community. I love the simplicity and picking and choosing what interests me. I walk lots with my 4 year old border Collie and do exercise classes at the senior center. Medicare pays for Senior Sneakers classes. I've met so many nice gals in their 70's.
Wishing you all Peace, Blessings, Love and Light.
Sounds like you have found your happy place!
Get rid of toxic friendships. Even family if they drain your energy. Its self care
100%
I blocked one brother text phone email because he was always finding me at fault. Miss him,, less stressed.
There is no toxic persons they are our Karma and we most deal with them
@@mariuquidielloI think there are toxic people that they might be your family members or close friends. Everyone has their own life experience , good or bad, but you may not able to turning around the bad ones when you all getting older.
When people are getting old, some of older brains have already been formed by their long life journey. They begin to lose their senses, and it is difficult for them to accept new or the ideas they do not agree.
Instead, the ideas and behaviors of the elderly with dementia are like poisoning to you.
Staying away from they if you are not tough enough to be holding up yourself.
@@mariuquidiello hahaha 😂. 😂.
I am 94 and live life as no one is watching. I love me now.
That's great!
Good on you , sweetheart ❤🎉😊❤
I just turned 69 two weeks ago. I have noticed changes in me that are so different than how I thought I would be. I am not as social as I use to be. I enjoy more time to myself. I find this very enjoyable.
❤
I totally get what your saying. I'm 68 and my social life also has declined. Joined a lovely church and my life is so peaceful. Also I have lupus so am looking after myself.
Went through with toxic relationship with my family. God gave me strength to remove them from me. I'm so peaceful now. They think I'm selfish but I don't care I have to think about my health. I love my own company. 😊 Thank you Lord. 🙏🙏

It is if we have enough money. Don't have to be rich. Just have enough. So many seniors I know are really hurting.
Many times things are kept because they have sentimental value I don't believe that should be overlooked.
Amazing! Wonderful!
@@saraburns7340 hold on to the sentiment, let go of the clutter. In doing so, making more space for new sentiments. As I am currently in the process of decluttering my home of 40 years. I find the sentimental things the hardest to release. But the reward of reclaiming your space feels like a renewal.
Perfect timing for this to pop up on my feed. I turn 70 tomorrow. Lot of good advice on this video. I would add one thing…give thanks to God the Father for everything, for every day lived, for every morning you wake up. Every day is a gift from Him.
Happy birthday!

I am an extremely active extrovert. Something hit me when I turned 70 this year and I’m still processing it. Kinda boils down to “seize the day”. All we have is now. Tomorrow is not promised. I’ve been seriously re-evaluating what’s in my bucket list and how to actually do it! Yours is an excellent video. My only comment is to seek the Lord with all your heart and He will direct your path.
Great video, all very true. Some suggestions are on my list, but have been procrastinating, you video has inspired me to get them done. Thanks
❤️
Love this video . ❤
New Year! I cleaned out all the clothes I don't wear anymore. Now for the gray to grow out. I will be 72 in June. I lost my 44 yo daughter to cancer. At that point, I stopped lots of things just added to stress. My life is rather peaceful now. Happy New Year and Happy Peaceful life to you all🎉🥳🙏
💔❤️🩹♥️
God Bless you, dear one! Your daughter is now in 'the land of Light' and she will give you a big hug when the time is right.
I'm so sorry for your loss. You sound like a strong woman, keep it up and happy new year! ❤
@Savvy_Senior Thank you. I still have my moments occasionally, but it's hard losing your child.
♥️
Ive cleaned out and given away all my suits and work cloths! Decluttered my home. I'm 73yrs! I'm actually studying ancient religions, historical events and even Quantum physics believe it or not! Worked 40yrs so catching up!😊
You are living your best life!
I'm turning 70 soon, I love reading these posts. I too am watching quantant phisics paranormal, still have clothes to go away
Turned 74 in December. There must be something about this age, but I'm now fascinated by history, the more ancient, the better, and physics, especially quantum physics.
Quantum physics is awesome! It will tell you so much about what is possible for us as humans! I just finished reading a book called "Why Woo-woo Works" by David R. Hamilton that draws the connections.
I am 73 also and have joined two new quilt groups one online and one locally. I am enjoying this so much. I also run a book club at our 55+ community with a wonderful group of women and I am enjoying grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Also, more conscious of health and staying active by walking everyday and doing exercises. I think it is fantastic studying ancient religions and Quantum physics…..keep going!
My mother works until 98 because she loved her work helping people in Education . She told me to keep on learning every day and do what you really like !
My beautiful mother was a great teacher i was alone with 5 brothers she used to work a lot but i was the one who helped her the most sorry for my english i a am french 🌹
Great for you, you are a diamond keeps shining ❤❤
As a teacher, I prefer to work. I just turned 70. I now want to travel and learn in universities around the world.
I have taught students from all around the world. Now I want to see where they live.
I may even do a PhD outside of the US!!
These will be my vacations!
I have no children nor a partner. If I meet someone with the same interests as myself, that’s great! I do not look for a partner anymore. I am a caretaker for my mom for the past 5 years, my siblings will not help. This is fine as I still work full time. When I retire to part time, this will have to change.
I will not maintain toxic relationship or listen to negativity. It’s all about moving ahead. Looking back is a waste of time. Onward ! These are the best days of my life.
Life after 70 should be about freedom and peace. This list sounds like a great guide.
I do not get involved w/anything I have to join (civic groups, etc.) W do not want obligations or to entertain. (been there done that). Husband and I are not tied down to anything, live in a 55 and older community and keep interactions casual.
Im letting go of all battles.I just want peace and quiet.
☮️
Me too.😊
Same with me - apologize even when it’s NOT MY FAULT . Really , I am just sorry the circumstance became what it was . I owe them also a PRAYER , and I can MOVE ON my own - leave it all with GOD & be FREE .
I will be 80 in three months time.Last year I sold my comfortable house to move into a comfortable apt. nearer my children and grandchildren. I mourned 70 years of memories and belongings thrown away and almost suffered a burnout. One year later today I have found new friends ( most older ones have died ), established a new relationship with my children and grandchildren, found new hobbies and activities. Finally I live every day as a present and have a new lease on life.
Thankyou for sharing!
This is exactly how I feel!
Suchh a good idea keep going on 🥰
I am not waiting until I am 70… starting now at 62❤️
Yes that is great!
67 here. I’m getting a head start!
At 62 I broke my foot. Beware. Gard your health. After that I broke it 2 more times. I never had any health problems. And every time I broke my foot my health got worse. Take care of yourself. Exercise and stay fix. And you might think you're fine but your not. You're strength escapes you.
😂I just thought the same thing and only up to number 6!❤️
Get here sooner than you think
Loved your video. I just turned 77, and I've spent the last 8 yrs taking care of my younger brother. I love him, but he just can't seem to take care of himself. I do his bills, his shopping, his laundry, cleaning his apartment and anything else he needs done. He's so needy, and there's no one else to help him. He also has many health issues. Recently, he was taken to the emergency room, then to rehab for therapy. So, for the last month and a half, I've been running back and forth between his apartment and the rehab facility, doing things for him, plus, I'm still doing his bills, laundry, etc.. I'm totally exhausted, and spend whatever free time I have, sleeping. And I'm still tired. I've cancelled doctor's appointments, and even cancelled plans with my best friends. I just can't do this anymore. I told my brother this morning that I have to step back. I'm starting to feel old, which is something I've never felt before. Prior to helping him, I was always doing something. Now, I just want to be left alone. Your video convinced me I'm doing the right thing. It's time to be myself again. Of course, I'll help him get an aide and nurses, but I'm finished being his "caretaker". Thank you so much for this video. I really needed it.
I am so glad this video helped you.
Good for you 👍you can't look after other people well if you don't take care of yourself. Good luck and God bless you 😊x
You could call for palliative care or hospice for him. Would that work?
Please take care of yourself first.
Sending you warm wishes for success in your journey.
Excellent video. I am 75 and caretaker for my 84 year old husband. I am trying to do things I enjoy as I do what I must. Difficult, but I pray to God to fill me with joy.❤
You can do it!
God Bless you! You're a hero!
In situations like yours, and mine, there can be even more physical demands than we’ve had for decades. Staying fit and getting plenty of protein matters hugely to maintain our strength and stamina.
I'm 64, with 77 yr old husband I'm caring for , not easy to do but try to put yourself first sometimes.. God bless you
I know what you're going through as I am 76 and care giver for my 83yo husband (in wheelchair). We have no children or family where we live, so it is all on me. I've lost about 30 lbs in the last year or so. Always doing something, up and down all day. I've lost the few friends I saw once in a while because I can't leave my husband alone. I tied home health care agencies to get a break once in a while, but they are so incredibly expensive!! Yes, we do what we must and because we love our spouse, but it is harder as we get older. God bless!
You never know what tomorrow will bring. My husband left for work a few days short of 60 brain haemorrhage, he never came home 2002) my soon popped out to a local park to give his pup a run and never came home killed in a freak accident in 2013. My partner diagnosed in march 2024 with terminal cancer, he died in April so at 76 I make every day count doing what makes me happy. We never know how long we have left so enjoy every minute and make the people in your life who you love know you care. 😊😊

I am 72 now, just finished building out a 1987 Peugeot J9 into a camper and started traveling again. What a wonderful way to meet new, like minded and happy people, enjoying our beautiful planet!
Yep eating proper natural food, is the key to good health and a long life! I am fit and healthy and do not take any meds.
That's great!
Me too... Mercedes sprinter.. always try to camp near a river, lake or beach...
Living it. Loving it.
me too- I spruced up a camper and can go places alone that I thought I would never do. I did that at 75
How awesome! I’m thinking if you aren’t on any meds, you disregarded her advice to go to the doctor often. That was the advice I totally disagreed with.❤️
What a wonderful 12 tips!! Wow, I live by most of them, was reassured by several. I'm 93, was called a Unicorn by a nurse = a senior who can walk, talk, see and hear. That's me and I'm soooo lucky. I'll pass this on to an 82 year old, so thanks for yourvideo. I'm in a retirement home and enjoying it. My bed is changed weekly, three meals a day, new friends, activities - life is good.
❤
This is my first visit, and I'll be back. This video describes how I learned to live my life at 70. The last seven have been amazing and fulfilling. I left Chicago for Buenos Aires to dance tango at afternoon and evening social dances. I left toxic family members with no regrets. I had to fulfill my destiny. I enjoy my solitude, writing a blog about tango, meeting dancers from around the world, and attending free concerts. I smile all the time.
Thanks for your kind words!
I dance Tango too here in Florida!!
@@mariuquidiello Have you danced in Buenos Aires?
This is, without a doubt, the very best video relating to my time of life! I am 77 having lost my 82 yr.old husband of 51 years 5 years ago. What a journey it has been, discovering my true self. Though this material is familiar, it is presented beautifully. It is a review of what I have learned in the past 5 years and a tremendous value to all of us. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. This is pure truth! ❤
Lovely words! Thankyou so much for your kindness
So well-said!!!
An excllent message for the seniors full of advice most appreciated
I am 80 and I can’t walk for long. But I move, rest and keep interested in doing things and loving people. Keep tidy and clean and seize the day.

Most welcome! I'm so glad the video resonated with you.
Hi, I'm hitting 70 this year, and feel time is so precious, yet I spent another Christmas so stressed and tired out, with running around trying to be the super partner, parent and grandparent. The video spoke volumes to me, and realize more than ever the need to let go and enjoy life. Thank you for enlightenment. xx😊
You are so welcome!
Such a beautifully empowering video! The insights shared here truly resonate, especially the reminder that aging is about embracing wisdom, joy, and authenticity rather than chasing perfection or worrying about what others think. I love how you reframe beauty, happiness, and relationships after 70. It's a refreshing and inspiring perspective-thank you for sharing this wisdom with us! 💖
Thankyou for your kind words!

I'll do the same 👌🏽🌼🌼🤗
I look younger than 75, but everyone has different skin. But I eat only once a day, I think it keeps healthy.

This video really hit home for me. I am a 79 year old lady. I live in a low income building in the Jersey Shore. September 2024 I turned 79. I am a widow. I worked all my adult life. Always pinching pennies. I started walking and then jogging in my forties and worked many jobs of all kinds. The prosecutors office, a local police department, the local morgue, many stores as a salesgirl, unloaded trucks for KMart. Now nothing. I found a lot of people in my environment don’t “ move around” or act like high school students forming “clicks”, if you know the term. One night, around midnight, it had snowed, I drove home to my apartment, before I lived here. I got out of my car and slipped on “black ice”. Ultimately, I ended up having brain surgery. I did very well, walked through it, so to speak, Well, !!! I was told I couldn’t work anymore. I will end this now. It’s too long! Thank you.

Thank you so much for this wonderful discussion today! I’m going to be 73 this year, and have only just begun to feel uneasy about it! At 70 I used to try to tell others that you’re only as old as you think. But things have been tough lately. My mood has been going down, but listening to your talk today has put it all in perspective for me! Thanks again, and I look forward to your future videos. Namaste, Brigid 🙏🌹💕💚🌈

Boy did that hit home . Enjoyed your aging lessons immensely. Every one of your 12 points hit home. Thank you. I’m turning 80 soon and needed to hear most of what you said a long time ago. As I basically chose to do many of the things you mentioned, and received criticism from my oldest daughter who is a perfectionist and a slave to that belief. I’m sending your video to her! She is turning 61!
thank you son much .That is just what I needed to hear, in order to move smoothly into my 70th year of life and feel confident in every aspect of my life, thanks for letting me know I earned it .God bless .

What a beautiful video. You are absolutely right. I’m 77 and start learning Italian. I don’t know why exactly because I don’t travel, anymore. But I speak already five languages why not one more. I also use my tablet every day. I never have to ask someone how to do something just go to Google. Every day I start listening to a Spanish song : Un día a la vez. The song tells you to live day by day. ❤

I just retired from healthcare managementon 6 days ago on 12/31/24 @ (3 weeks shy of 77 yrs old). So many plans for doing that which long work hours have not allowed!! Your points have all been on my list of things that have become important to me as I've aged. Nice to have them confirmed. Many prayers for those who are struggling with loneliness, poor health and financial hardship. 😘

This is awesome!!! I am turning 70 next month and I have to say the last year has been the most rewarding one of my life. I started working out and meditating a year ago, and I started to really love and like myself for the first time. No more body shaming, feeling less than, or worrying what others think of me. I laughed at 60 and thought it was the best, but turning 70 is going to rock! Thank you for putting this beautiful message out there, for all the women who think life is over after 70. I know mine is just getting started! ❤

I am 75 and loving each year..I am happy and peaceful. I love the time to just do my favorite things, see my favorite people. I have been constantly removing any items clothing and household items..giving them away..decluttering and making room for my hobbies. I love people gathering, ..don’t indulge in gossip or negativity. Appreciate and give thanks for each day and those who share it with me including my furry pets..life is exactly what YOU make it…nothing else.

I love this video! I could identify with every point that was made. I used to feel like a "loser" when spending time alone, thinking everyone else was out having fun. Now I relish my time with ME. I no longer feel lonely, and I enjoy my home and the things that bring me joy. I have one grandson whom I babysit every other Friday for the entire day, and I relish every moment. We laugh and have the best time doing silly things or simply cuddling. I would like to find a travel partner, as I want to see more of the world and I have the finances and the time. Thank you for bringing it home with your wonderful thoughts. It was as if I was hearing myself talk to ME! 💙

Don’t be afraid to travel alone…or with travel groups. Seeing the world is amazing, and will take your breath away!
I am 75.Its the best and freest time of my life.Richness and gratitude are dominating and unexpected creativity is unfolding.I can share my smile whenever i feel like ,or leave it,if there is not the time to do so .Its so much time just to be and enjoy life and share it ,whenever it feels like.

There are so many small phrases you speak that are worth remembering. I just turned 70 on the 29th and I love my life and I love letting go of all the fear and misconceptions I was carrying. I retired, remarried and we now travel, take a few online courses, volunteer, where I am needed. I do what I enjoy, I keep close to the people I love and with those that love me. Above all I stay focused on my spiritual journey.
Thank you for your video!

That's great!
Good for you❤️!!!!!
So happy for you. I love playing the piano. Do everything you love while you are able.
Yes !!! Age is but a number and a state of mind, Pay no mind the that number. Be mentally young, do what you want to do and not what you children or friends think you should or should not do. If one feels like getting a face lifting then... hey do it! Why not lol
The number I am is 71and no way am I - 71 lol I am 42 .
Play and be young. 💖💫🎹
I started cello lessons 3 years ago. (I’m 71) Some folks think I’m nuts-I don’t care. I also play the piano, ukulele and sing in a church choir. It’s taken me awhile to be ok with just enjoying what I’m doing. No more perfection. So…..good for you!

OMG…I’m 70 years old and this presentation you did was an “eye opener” for me! Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts and yes, I’m learning to “stay in my lane” as most people are saying today. I just wanted to let you know after having 2 total knees replacement last year I am living life with no bone on bone arthritis pains…it feels good to dance again! 🥰. So again, thank you so much for a positive outlook on life…I’m already living life to the fullest with my hubby coming up 48 years of marriage…GOD IS GOOD! And God bless you my Sister in Christ! 🙏🏾❤️

Thank you for this video. I will turn 74 soon. This video was made for me. All 12 points hit home. I am learning to let go of so many emotions that I thought were so important.
You're welcome! It's so freeing to finally be yourself.
A few weeks before I turned 70 (which i was seriously sruggling with) - covid got me for the first time. It turned into long covid which gave me plenty of down time (4 months) to refect on my life.
I have been free of LC for a few weeks now and as I listened to this video my smile of joy was in the afirmations of your words. I had come to most of these same conclusions during my reflections during my forced bondage. It turned out to be a great gift to me to change my ways and outloook on life. Your words are so true. We woman as caregivers and pleasers often forget to take care of ourselves and take time for our own joy. I love each day as a gift for myself and all my furture possibilities. Thank you for your timely words.
I am almost 77 and making a major move in a few months. It will be a new chapter. I thought I had downsized to this home after a second failed marriage. 15 years of accumulation since is now overwhelming. The loss of dear friends made a huge impact. My two children are very busy with their lives and I fear being a burden to them so I remain fiercely independent as my Mom once described me. I am definitely a survivor after jumping over many hurdles. I gained the respect of family and friends. However, not everyone. I am letting go of two from my past. It’s sad, but time and circumstances change people. It’s definitely a stage of life when self preservation is crucial whether it’s a need for maintaining self respect, or a desire to release negativity for emotion health and well-being.
Thanks for sharing!
Excellent video! I have realised, as I've aged, that I've spent way too much of my life worrying about what others think. A lot of it came from family members who were very judgemental or critical of others. This installed in me a sense that everything had to be perfect and as we all know.... life is not perfect.
You’ve got it, and it’s never too late to change that!
I'm 78 and this video really hit home for me. I do all of the things you said we can let go of and it's exhausting. I want to be free to just enjoy my life.
❤️
Will turn 74 in May - busy clearing out cupboards, drawers and give away. I live by myself; happy HEALTHY and wise - I have freedom - but your words accentuate my believes, thanking, doing and way of life!
Thank you!
Much love❤
By the way I'm still a brunette... it suits my young spirit, olive skin tone and I colour my own hair for past 25yrs. If I must go grey now, I'll have to change my whole wardrobe 😮😢
❤
Going grey was one of my best decisions! My hair is healthier, thicker and a better texture and it suits my skin tone. I am 70 and now careful about toxins on my hair, skin and in my environment. I am looking after my brain health from now on. Thats far more important to me than being a brunette!
Thank you for sharing the encouraging words I heard during this video. I couldn’t agree more how important it is to be brave and discover who you really want to be how you really want to rest who you really want to hang out with and who you don’t want to hang out with Right now I am in the middle of deciding when I’m gonna start wearing that looser styled clothing that I so much enjoy at home. I’m not talking big old men’s T-shirts. I’m talking flowing open lightweight material jackets, a shirt and pants combination that doesn’t emphasize some kind of waistline which honestly is barely there. I realize I’m short and wearing wider clothes just makes me look bigger, but I look around and I see some pretty big women out there and they carry themselves with such confidence that they just look beautiful. It’s not about your size. It’s about letting your inner light and joy shine And like you said enjoying that clothing that you love so much who cares if it’s bright colors or lots of flowers.
Lovely words thanks for sharing!
I found this video very reassuring. I was pleased to see there are many tips that I currently follow. However, hobbies are something I’ve let go of. But I really enjoying making mosaics. I have all the glass I need to begin. I need a few new tools and supplies and those are attainable so you’ve given me some get up and go! I’m 76 and am still in pretty good shape. However, I would like to get involved in yoga once again and have found a senior center that has classes so there’s nothing in my way but reticence for no good reason. I’m going to schedule a class before this week is out. 🎉

This was wonderful. I’m 73 and have lead a rich life with many highs and lows…I took notes and ended up with 11… I must have mixed two up into one. Anyway, this wisdom is great and lacks only one thing I would add. Thank God for your life. Seek to live joyfully and prayerfully before Him. God bless you all!
