yea, Mabodofu (how they say it in Japan) is very popular in Japan. I had it frequently when living in the Nagoya area. There, they pour it over a plate of rice. Delicious! What they call Chow Mein in this video looks more like what the Japanese call Yakisoba (another delicious dish).
Japanese/Chinese, Lived in Japan a few years prior to moving to China. With a straight face, Japanese food is far off the flavor and creativity of Chinese dishes. I feel like Japanese cuisine that people know is very exquisite and isnt at all what we ate. Most food was bland in taste (10 points for presentation creativity tho), Chinese food wins easily!!
