Few modern fragrances can boast half as successful a campaign as Obsession enjoyed...Very nice. ..yes..when bodies heat up, the perfume radiates off the torso, then really comes to life...How women wear and project perfume is a subject I will forever, be attentive to.
I love Obsession! It’s a comforting fragrance to me. Brings back a lot of good memories. I bought Mitsouko after watching your video a year or so ago and it’s such a solid one for me! Happy Holidays!
Kate Moss I believe was the model. I agree I remember going to the dept store counters back then and all of the frags smelt totally different unlike today.
I wore Coco yesterday. It's perhaps the perfume that I feel most at ease wearing. And Coromandel is a stunner. Ha, I bought Obsession when I was in grade 9 because it was a cool older cousin's signature fragrance, needless to say it overwhelmed my senses and I didn't like it. I wonder how I would perceive it today.
Obsession was my fragrance in 1996/1997. It was really strong and in your face but I loved it 😊 I wish I could smell it again but I'm afraid to be disappointed if I smell today's version. Do you know if they are really different ?
Coco and Rouge Trafalgar for me this week. Coco is my "I want to stay at home" fragrance and Rouge Trafalgar is the "Let's have a great day" fragrance. :) Thanks for the video. Nice tree!
Hmmm no, Obsession is oriental chypre-floral, lots of spices, carnation and dirty jasmine... I've never smelled Chypre Palatin by MDCI but watching reviews of it makes me think Eugen is talking about that one (why he wouldn't say the name?)
Back in the day, I often bought fragrances impulsively because I didn't have have the opportunity to go back and forth to a mall to test things properly. This approach lead to many frag fails. Obsession was one...it made me weak in the knees too, except in my case, it did so because I almost passed out from how intense and NOT ME it was. How could I have thought this kind of gypsy magic would work for me? I seriously didn't couldn't comprehend Obsession at that time in my life, and now, I wouldn't be able to enjoy it because of this past association. I feel the same way about Coco. A very chic, larger-than-life friend wore Coco with panache, and after I snuck into her bathroom to steal a few blasts, I had to endure an excruciation day of wishing I could race home and get.this.s***.off.me. She is still chic and larger-than-life, and I still can't wear Coco. Thanks for the blast from the past.
I wore Coco today!! It’s such a Christmas fragrance to me! Also need to get me a bottle of Rouge Trafalgar!the more you talk about it, the more I want it
Interesting you like CK Obsession for women, I'll have to check it out. Have you ever tried Clinique Aromatics Elixer? This is also a powerhouse vintage chypre targeted towards women.
I wore Coromandel EDT once this week. I almost think I prefer the EDP... am I crazy? Also wore Dior Homme Parfum, some Tuscan Leather from 2011, and Xerjoff Uden. I was going to wear some of my Santal Galore but the atomizer has become clogged... I gotta look up a way to clear that.
Today I received a miniature of le lion of Chanel and really love it but yeah the fragrance yes remind me of shalimar but at the same 3 other fragrances came to my mind givenchy gentlemen EDP smell so close to this with a hints of Dior homme intense that white chocolate or vanilla scent coming with powder and Ambre sultan without the oregano note I think if I layer at least shalimar, givenchy EDP gentlemen and Dior homme intense will smell like this one I never smell coromandel or other les exclusif to make me think of that just I try 1957 that a really like and own cuir de russie that form me is soupy sometimes animalic don’t fight the leather accord and smoke for now in the EDP concentration
For the niche comparison to Obsession- are you talking about Grand Soir? I was reading fragrantica reviews on it today and lots of people mentioned it.
Recently purchased Coromandel EDP. My conclusion? Thank heaven I resisted the urge to buy the larger 200 ml. bottle. I've no quarrel with the scent profile, which is elegant and captivating. I DO however, have a major bone to pick with the performance, or rather the lack of it. Projection and sillage are nonexistent. I've seen better performance from cheapies. Chanel should hang their heads in shame, asking that kind of money for something that performs so poorly. Thought I'd found a new signature scent - my first since Lagerfeld discontinued K.L. Homme in the 90s. But you'd have to bathe in this stuff to notice it. And Kate Moss used to model for C.K.
I have the kidney obsession colon and is a BEAST more than some pure extrails that I have the performance is so amazing is much better than many "niche" one day some one ask me if I was using Musc Ravegeu from Fred Mall I think they have some similarities. Buy the way from the discovery set of Federic Malle I love that one so much.
Great review a new subscriber and a 🌷👌🏻 Am 25 years old and am facinated with bois mysterioux do you recommend that I wear this fragrance regarding my age, I heard some people are saying that this fragrance is for 40years old+ . I really enjoy it

Kate Moss was the model..CK Obsession was the first fragrance I bought my girlfriend back in 1997 and yes it was potent back then..
On the really cold days I layer CK Obsession for Men with Costume Nationale Homme. I quite literally become a spicebomb :D
Love Coromandel. Definitely, getting a bottle. Not sold on Le Lion yet since I was not able to try it on skin only a tester strip.

I've never smelled Obsession for Women. But my guess for the niche that is based off of it is a Parfum De Marly fragrance.
Maybe Herod or Carlyle?

@@Gonzalo_K Ahh. I think you nailed it. Eugene doesn't mess with that PDM swill. Great guess. I think Eugene will tell us on his next video.

Obsession for men is still great too in my opinion.
Good stuff Eugene you never let down and Happy Christmas and good New year ✌🏽
Come on E , tell us which fragrance did it remind you of?

Wow 🤩
Can't wait to see that tree try to fly
He’s not going to that this year, Mitchell..
@@BobbyDior it would be a good end to a terrible year
...I myself am hoping for some Niche vs. Arc Welder episodes.
Me too
Was great to hear your very angry voice Last Stream 🤗
Does Obsession remind you of MDCI Chypre Palatin?
I think Santa will probably need to get you a new door
Bois Mysterieux 👌

How's the performance on the coromandel EDP?
@@pullingthestrings5233 Performance is great!
Really good insight into fragrances that no-one else (that I know of) talks about. Gives me ideas to Broad an my collection from designer average.
Does Obsession remind you of Nishane Ani? Just guessing
Love this new series eugen!
I love love Cormandel one of the best patchouli fragrances on the market

Loved your story about Obsession and your co worker... Say that niche fragrance! :D
For the niche comparison to Obsession- are you talking about Grand Soir? I was reading fragrantica reviews on it today and lots of people mentioned it.
I was thinking the same, but I never smelled Grand soir so I can’t compare.

Big fan of cuir 28 but I don’t know if I’d purchase at that city exclusive price
Bruh, I just watched a Kevin Scamuels commercial for Swiss Arabian attars during your upload. I lol’ed.
Also, were you implying the obsession perfume gave you a pleasant stiffy?
I wasnt even camping and I damn near pitched a tent seeing all your pick ups this year 🤣
Eugene which coromandel version would you keep if you could only have one version edt oder Edp or the Parfum version?
I really want to get Coromandel
Eugen is zzz best
