Hi Ross, I swapt the organza bags for small strawberry or cherry tomatoes empty plastic containers (clear plastic) it lets the fig wasp in whilst preventing the birds and possums any access. I also use a rubber band to hold the container in place. Anyway , thought to share my experience. Happy birthday too. 😊Cheers

My wife recently visited Albania where fig trees are everywhere. I had her bring me some cuttings. They arrived and I planted them in pots. 3 weeks later they are budding. I don’t know what kind they are, but I am very excited for next spring!!!

Try using air layer pods instead of organza bags for fig ripening (clear pods are better).

Speaking of tropical fruits, you need to try and grow an Achachairu in the greenhouse, also known as an orange mangosteen (garcinia humilis), or a Lemon Drop mangosteen, also known as a a yellow mangosteen (garcinia intermedia). You may also like the madrono, which is also a garcinia relative of the mangosteen, but a bit hardier than the rest.

Mangoes & Avocadoes. I'd move to Hawaii just to grow these.

Hi..I need an expert like you
I bought a fig tree at Walmart in 2016.. not sure what kind but it never produced figs .. until last year. I was very excited and it tasted great. The branches with fruit are on the bottom. To my surprise they look different than the branches on the top. This summer they are many figs small but smell great. I was watching your other video about getting sun. These do not get much sun because of the top branches. I was going to cut back top branches. I live in North Carolina.

I've started grafting. I have 3 trees to use as rootstalk. Honey , Stella & Desert King. Whats your take on how the rootstalk influences the new varieties? Why did you chose yours?
