Phoenix man loses $25K in lottery scam

- There are all kind of scams out there and they're all designed to get your attention and lure you in. That's what happened to a Phoenix man who says he just wanted to believe he had won a lot of money.
As far as I know-the Lottery folks will NOT notify you---YOU have to let them know if you win because YOU have the winning ticket. God Bless that poor guy
If anyone claims you've won a huge sum of money, and they say you need to pay money in order to get that money, then it's a scam. I don't understand why people still fall for this kind of stuff. It sounds shady af.

Someone tried to play this game with me about a Powerball winning that they would share their winnings with several people on Twitter!! I told them to cut me a check,and mail it to my residence. The scammer said NO,NO I need your email address so I can send you a FedEx link! AUTOMATIC RED FLAG!! They would have sent me MALWARE that I would have clicked on,and they would have controlled my device getting into banking and work apps stealing money from me! I reported them to Twitter as a phishing scam and hope that Twitter suspended them!!

In hindsight the scam is obvious. But the power of gold ultimately won here. It looks like the quality and sophistication of the scam letter is very low. You really had to believe you won to go along with this.
