Thanks Vortex. I'm really into creating music in Cubasis and other apps. I not only read the manuals but also copy them out and go through them with the app at the same time. I've been wondering about Automation for some time. So thanks again. Please keep the videos coming. Francis (Frank)
Thank you so much for the education. Saw the 7 year old vid from Steinburg first and couldn’t hardly make any sense to it. You were super clear and helpful and for that I am grateful.
Top notch man! 👍 I just gave it a try in CB2 and i see how super useful this is. This was exactly the secret sauce that a track needed in my project. Man i am such a noob hahah. So these vids are perfect for me to get more out of CB 🤗 thanks! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Hi! Very good tutorials! 👏👏👏 I really love them all! But now ... I need your help about project automation. Im happy to see that its very intuitive to notice how to make automations on the traks ... At leas, the manual way is more than obvious. The automotic way is ... lets say ... just only a little more "complicated". The true is, its not complicated at all... Anyone can figure out how to do it very fast. The guestion is, how can i make automation for the project? Like an example, all project (all traks) to have an filter or / and volume automation. Maybe some cool volume breaks too... Things like that ... I suspect its outside the project, in the Mixdown, but i hope im wrong, because i will really like to make it inside the project
I don't do music. I do audio drama. so the needs can be very different. what i need to know is how to add an effecf and automate it while making it cut completely out at a certain point. I find some effects dont truly go away even when turned down. And some effects have multiple adjustment where i need the ALL to drop out. PLEASE help. Great work fyi. Subscribed
Hey Yonah, yah you can automate multiple things, so you can automate the EQ for example and the Volume at same time. In the video I show where to choose which type of automation, it's a dropdown in the top left hand corner of the automation window. So as long as you automate the volume down around the same time you automate anything else you can essentially bring the output down to 0db.
Sorry but there's no tempo track, the tempo is locked to the project. Hopefully one day in the future :) There's certain work arounds like time stretching audio though to speed up it up or slow it down.
Can anyone explain how to do a volume fadeout at the end of the full track? I can’t seem to find that answer except I’ve been told to do volume automation on the stereo out, which seems like the answer but I can’t figure out how to actually do that. Can anyone help with a step-by-step explanation?
You can automate the volume of the master track to do a stereo fade out for entire project similar to what we've done here. You would just bring up the mixer and the master track and then click the R and W on the master track, hit play, then turn down the volume until satisfied.
Best thing I can say is possibly zoom in and perhaps use a mouse to get more precise movement. I too sometimes find it a bit tricky to get back to zero but after a couple clicks and undos I usually get it right.
Nice video! I heard you mention you were having issues with DSP in Cubasis 3. I’ve noticed that too. Any word on why Cubasis 2 would be handling things better than Cubasis 3? You would think 3 would be at least just as good if not better. I know it’s supposed to be a full redesign so possibly there are some bugs but have you heard anything?
There are many instances where you may want to use automation on vocals because generally automation is used to create movement and change within a track to keep the listener from getting too bored. So there are for example a number of useful things automation can do on vocals such as adjusting reverb intensity, creating filter sweeps, stereo fade outs and much more.
@@MobileMusicPro oh thanks for the reply. I was searching for a daw on iPad which can do tempo automations. But seems like there’s no option😆 I feel Logic Pro can do but it’s too expensive subscription.
@@discjokievipul6023Oh there's certainly an option, Logic Pro on iPad does literally everything the Logic Pro on desktop can do including tempo changes.
@@MobileMusicPro Yeah but they should give one time purchase option. subscription is too much for a daw. 🤣lets make a petition to make logic pro ipad for purchase not for susbcription. BTW thank you!
@@discjokievipul6023 Unfortunately the only other option is to make the program too expensive for the average person to use. Making it only $5/month on a mobile device makes it more accessible to more people which I'm ok with, there's always a one time purchase on the desktop.
Man you have them color coded all wrong. Drums are the highest cause the cymbals are at the top. Red is bass and kick for foundation but since the drummer rides the high end energy on the cymbals the drums should get the color violet. Fix that lol. It’s ok I use to make the drums red and that’s not wrong but it’s them dang symbols that puts the drummer at the top. Drums are usually in the middle and high up on a drum riser. Most are too blind to see the connection but the kick drum in the band of freqs represents the All Seeing Eye of God. The drummer sits on a seat called a drum throne and if you look at the band the drummer makes up the top of the pyramid or triangle. Why? Because the drummer is the creator or conductor of time and controls the flow of the tempo/temple.
I’m kidding but trying to get you to see how light and sound connect. Red is foundational or fundamental, bass is base. Everything sits on red. The foundation for the visible electromagnetic spectrum of light lies in Radio, Microwaves, and Infrared.

Simply add a plugin to the master track and apply your automation there as that will affect all tracks.

In the fact, everything is so simple. We need to just pay a little more attention. Thats all.
Thank you very much!
Thanks man!
Glad you enjoyed the video! :)
Could you make a video how to creat a white noise riser in Cubasis 3 .?
We certainly have sound design videos planned for the future and that was on the list :)
Hello, i have a problem, when i press a key of my midi controller all midi tracks sound at time, the respective key soud in every instrument
Make sure to only tap the "Record Enable" button for the tracks you'd like to trigger: postimg.cc/p5tL1Kn0

Can we automate tempo also? Like in pc on Ableton we can automate tempo also.
Unfortunately in Cubasis there's no tempo track. However you can time stretch both midi and audio clips to slow down bpm by stretching them out.
