    I bought my 2022 S140 last spring, had to con the salesman into throwing in a lid for that cubby box on the fender, things tend to fly out of it without the snap tight lid. Also like that is does NOT have that quick oil change option. Gotta get use to seeing them now with a Green deck. Love your JD videos, they're the most informative on the net!

    Do you have any thoughts about the scalping on the 42 inch deck vs the 48 inch decks? Also wondering which one works better when bagging.
    I really appreciate this walk around video.

    • @WesternEquipment
      @WesternEquipment  Год назад +2

      I am glad you enjoyed the video. I would say you are always going to have more of a chance of scalping with the 48 then the 42. As far as the bagging goes, I have definitely heard more positive results with the 42 on this particular size of mower.

    • @chase5896
      @chase5896 Год назад +1

      In my opinion a 42 in is nicer. It mulches better, and it just is nicer. However if you have a bigger lawn a 48 in is nicer, but

    I bought the E140 with a bagger in 2019. It’s been a great mower until last weekend the engine died. It’s going to the scrap heap and I will be dropping $3k on a new one this weekend. My next goal is to learn how to completely disassemble and reassemble the engine in case it pulls the stunt my soon to be former one did.

    Help ! Brand new 2023 S130, only used 3 times, takes at least 6 key turn on to start in lowest throttle position, if in middle, full, or choke it smells real bad like gas flooded engine and once backfired... Any ideas what I can have my J D dealer to look for ?

      @@WesternEquipment My fault in starting procedure. Operating manual says to set throttle at full, turn key, if doesn't start, hold in choke position and turn key. My salesman said to just hold in choke position no matter if cold or hot day. Tested that for 2 days and gave me the perfect start, started immediately .

    • @WesternEquipment
      @WesternEquipment  Год назад +5

      High use, high wear, high sales volume (meaning more units out there to repair). Also, since John Deere mowers have actual dealerships that do the repair work, there is more documented repairs than most brands. These are all things that could lead to this.
