She also turned on a vampire movie as a reference to her Buffy. Sarah Michelle Gellar was very busy in 97 she was doing this, I know what you did last summer and 2nd season of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. - Neve was also really busy in the late 90's. Same year Scream 96 came out her and Skeet Ulrich (Billy) did "The Craft" together, she was doing her tv series "Party of Five" and also filmed "Wild Things" with Kevin Bacon and Matt Dillon in 97 the same year Scream 2 came out. Matthew Lillard (Stu) and Neve were dating at the time, and when he was visiting on set, they asked him if he wanted to be an extra in the party scene, lol. He was in the background outside kinda blurred, but he had blonde hair and could hear him saying hi to Mickey I think it was. He was standing in the distance behind the sorority sisters while they were talking with Sidney, trying to get her to join.
So for in this movie, it's pretty easy of a breakdown on which killer did what. Ms. Loomis was only interested in Gale obviously since she was constantly on her heals lol and Sidney, but she couldn't risk Sidney seeing her till she was ready cause she'd recognize her like she did right away in the final Act. Gale because she literally wrote a book about her son and how she helped Sidney to kill her beloved angel of a son lol. Sidney also for obvious reason cause she did kill her son and her mom was what broke her family. Ms. Loomis tried to kill Dewey as a collateral he was someone that Gale really cared for, like how Billy was someone she cared for. Randy was NEVER the target he didn't play any critical role in her son's death it was meant for Gale, hense, the statement, "Why are you even here Randy?" But HE answered HER phone and talked bad about her son, so she got knife happy like she explained to Sidney at the end. Mickey was the actual copycat he gave the premiere movie tickets to Phil Steven's and Maureen. Also killed CiCi, obviously Hallie, Derek, and the detectives. He was only allowed to torment Sidney, which he did mentally, but she was to be left for Ms. Loomis to act on her revenge
Scream 2 is one of my favorite movies of all time. I saw it opening night as a kid I had posters and magazine clippings all over my walls of Neve Campbell and Sarah as Buffy at the time 😂. I already knew going into it Jada was the opening girl so that had me even more excited for the movie, I’ll never forget that theater experience. It was so much fun watching your reaction to it ❤
i actually saw scream 2 in theaters when it originally released. being that i was young, i dragged my mom to this and she had no idea what the hell this was about. yeah, she learned in the opening sequence with the first 2 kills. not the first time i'd watched horror films at this point, just that i wasn't going to theaters to really watch them. weird thing was, i had watched scream 2 first before i watched scream. i already knew what the first scream was about and watched it later.
One of the clues regarding to Mickey that most missed is that he always had a camera on him. The funny thing is Randy nailed it when him and Dewey were listing suspects. The whole boyfriend thing is old and wants to break new ground and how Mickey is the freaky Tarantino film student, lol. The ONLY reason he moved on from it cause then it would also paint him as a suspect 😂 He even made foreshadowing reference when he mentioned how Jasons mother Ms. Vorheese was a terrific serial killer when Dewey made a comment about how serial killers are mostly white males when Randy brought up Hallie Sids roommate and in Scream 2 it was Billy's mother Ms. Loomis being the mastermind killer

Scream is SO GOOD. Not many horror franchises have 6 successful movies that people don't widely hate. Like, Halloween has 13 films in its franchise, and HALF of them are SO hard to watch that most fans, including myself, haven't seen them. I could watch the Scream franchise on repeat. I've been watching Scream since I was a teenager, the first one came out when I was 6, but I'm glad I didn't see them until I did, otherwise a LOT of it would have flown right over my head. My 13 year old nephew is just starting to get into them and I can't wait to share those with him too. We already watch like 50 of the same RUclips channels and enjoy the same movies and TV shows, so this will just be one more added to the list.

Honestly? I'm having an AWFUL day (I have an autoimmune disease and I've been sick as dog) but this video did cheer me up :) I too love Dewey. He's absolutely adorable, as was your squeal of joy when he survived at the end. Were you aware that the actors playing Dewey and Gale actually met and fell in love on the original film? They ended up being married for ages. I think their natural chemistry really prompted Wes Craven to expand on their character's relationship the way he did. I think maybe you were a *little* tough on Cotton. Granted, he's kind of a jerk at times, but bear in mind, he was an innocent man who was accused of a heinous crime and lost everything. There's a lot of trauma and desperation to unpack in that, and upon rewatching a few times, I've come to feel pretty bad for him. And I *think* I recall hearing that the first Scream was criticized for the lack of racial diversity, and I think that's why there's more black representation in this movie compared to the last. We all have biases we are usually not conscious of, it's part of being human, but how you react to having those biases brought to your attention really shows who you are as a person. His response was to try to be better, and I respect that. Looking forward to the reaction to Scream 3! :)
I had the same thoughts about Cotton! Initially hated him but as I thought about it more I realized he had his entire life taken away and his reputation ruined for something he didn't do. He was sitting on death row for a year. Of course he's a little off now.

A lot of people hate on the 3rd movie but I think it has some really strong characters and amazing celebrity cameos. I hope you continue with the series all the way through to number 6.
This is hands down one of thee best Horror franchises beginning to end. It only really has one bad movie and even as a bad movie it is still campy and fun and truly 90’s. It’s like being transported back in time. Scream 2 isn’t as good as the first movie. Scream 3 isn’t as good as the first 2. But they both still are entertaining, iconic, and fun horror movies. SCREAM 4 IS HONESTLY MY FAVORITE!!! You have to watch all of them!! Trust me you will not regret it!! Scream 5 is such a fun, creative, and great start to a new era of the franchise going forward. And Scream 6 though some found the ending not as exciting or unpredictable with a few silly decisions by the characters. But I personally absolutely lovedddd it!! They did some really creative and interesting things with the franchise. And really set up for an exciting new saga in the franchise going forward. With an all new crew to root for and want to help solve the mystery alongside.
I've had this theory for as long as I can remember regarding the car scene. I believe Mickey was knocked out originally, but when Sid hit the horn, I think it woke him up but pretended to still be knocked out. That way, the girls mostly Sidney were out of the car since he wasn't allowed to actually kill her and for her to be lure to the theater building for Ms. Loomis to act on her revenge. Because he got out WAY too quickly after they did and then did like a syke trick, making them think they are safe just to turn around and kill Hallie to mess with Sid mentally and emotionally even more.
Sidney always kicks the killers ass, shes a survivor for a reason. Everyone loves Dewey and everyone thinks they hate Gale but realize they love her too. I can't wait for you to continue through this franchise.

At first, they thought it was a performance. It's the same with the first movie. Drew Barrymore was a big name and people thought the movie was going to be about her and she'd survive.
The great thing about the Scream films were they were so self aware, in that it even though it is a serious subject they constantly refers to old Horror films and makes reference to the plot of them etc. It also spawned superb sequels, each one of them is great too and well worth a watch. You gotta do all the sequels, the writing is just so clever. Sarah Michelle Gellar ( Buffy herself! ) is here in Scream 2, but can't use her slaying powers here. Really top female actors in all the Scream films firstly Drew Barrymore, then Neve Campbell, Courtney Cox (the constants), Rose McGowan, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Heather Graham, Jada Pinkett-Smith, Rebecca Gayheart, Portia De Rossi, Emily Mortimer, Emma Roberts, Hayden Pannettiere, Anna Paquin, Kristen Bell, Jenny McCarthy, Parker Posey, Alison Brie, Aimee Teegarden, Mary McDonnell, Jenna Ortega, and they are just the ones I can remember! The plots are just so clever you will love them. You gotta do all the sequels!

You really need to watch the rest. They all are really enjoyable. Even the ones people put lower on the list are still far above average for sequels! I think you’ll enjoy them!
Scream is the greatest! 1-4 are my faves! (I have a lot of complaints with 5 and 6, majority of which come down to writing.) And the more rumors I hear about 7, the more excited I get!!! If some of these things turn out to be true then it has the potential to be one of the best sequels!

@@turnupthemike_ Haha, I get it. I was in high school & college when Buffy was originally on TV. You're younger, so you have a different frame of reference. But even now, that series holds up. Joss Whedon turned out to be a jackass, but he produced a damn fine series. It has humor, romance, action, suspense, supernatural monsters, gut-wrenching plot twists, great character development & so many metaphors for life when you watch with a keen eye.
Sarah Michelle Gellar deserves better in this movie 😢. She had a rol ‘cause she works with Kevin Williamson (the writer) in I Know What You Did Last Summer and she had short hair ‘cause she was filming the second season of the best show ever: Buffy the Vampire Slayer 🖤🔪🩸

Listen, how you feel about Scream 2 is how I feel. The original Scream is the ORIGINAL and I have to catch myself sometimes not to say that 2 is better. lol. BUT 2 is my favorite and the one ive seen the most and will re watch over and over. Thats not to say that there is a bad scream movie. For the longest it was easy to say 3 was and it still is my least fav but its still a damn good movie not to mention ive warmed up to it over the years. What you may come to find is depending on what was your first scream movie growing up and your age, it tends to determine which one is your fav. The star power in this one is crazy if you grew up in the 90's and honestly has not been topped since.

I've had this theory for as long as I can remember regarding the car scene.
I believe Mickey was knocked out originally, but when Sid hit the horn, I think it woke him up but pretended to still be knocked out. That way, the girls mostly Sidney were out of the car since he wasn't allowed to actually kill her and for her to be lure to the theater building for Ms. Loomis to act on her revenge. Because he got out WAY too quickly after they did and then did like a syke trick, making them think they are safe just to turn around and kill Hallie to mess with Sid mentally and emotionally even more.
Sidney always kicks the killers ass, shes a survivor for a reason. Everyone loves Dewey and everyone thinks they hate Gale but realize they love her too. I can't wait for you to continue through this franchise.

At first, they thought it was a performance.
It's the same with the first movie. Drew Barrymore was a big name and people thought the movie was going to be about her and she'd survive.
The great thing about the Scream films were they were so self aware, in that it even though it is a serious subject they constantly refers to old Horror films and makes reference to the plot of them etc. It also spawned superb sequels, each one of them is great too and well worth a watch. You gotta do all the sequels, the writing is just so clever. Sarah Michelle Gellar ( Buffy herself! ) is here in Scream 2, but can't use her slaying powers here. Really top female actors in all the Scream films firstly Drew Barrymore, then Neve Campbell, Courtney Cox (the constants), Rose McGowan, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Heather Graham, Jada Pinkett-Smith, Rebecca Gayheart, Portia De Rossi, Emily Mortimer, Emma Roberts, Hayden Pannettiere, Anna Paquin, Kristen Bell, Jenny McCarthy, Parker Posey, Alison Brie, Aimee Teegarden, Mary McDonnell, Jenna Ortega, and they are just the ones I can remember! The plots are just so clever you will love them. You gotta do all the sequels!

Scream is the greatest! 1-4 are my faves! (I have a lot of complaints with 5 and 6, majority of which come down to writing.) And the more rumors I hear about 7, the more excited I get!!! If some of these things turn out to be true then it has the potential to be one of the best sequels!

@@turnupthemike_ Haha, I get it. I was in high school & college when Buffy was originally on TV. You're younger, so you have a different frame of reference. But even now, that series holds up. Joss Whedon turned out to be a jackass, but he produced a damn fine series. It has humor, romance, action, suspense, supernatural monsters, gut-wrenching plot twists, great character development & so many metaphors for life when you watch with a keen eye.

This is a great sequel
The first is a classic but this is the first one I saw in theaters and if you ask me on any given day I might prefer it.

Listen, how you feel about Scream 2 is how I feel. The original Scream is the ORIGINAL and I have to catch myself sometimes not to say that 2 is better. lol. BUT 2 is my favorite and the one ive seen the most and will re watch over and over. Thats not to say that there is a bad scream movie. For the longest it was easy to say 3 was and it still is my least fav but its still a damn good movie not to mention ive warmed up to it over the years. What you may come to find is depending on what was your first scream movie growing up and your age, it tends to determine which one is your fav. The star power in this one is crazy if you grew up in the 90's and honestly has not been topped since.
