Just saw this video after the game's release video. Definitely try promoting that release video (third option only bills you for how many times people go to the link you specify) since there isn't anything for promoting via Steam.
Hopefully it can get some attention later down the line. I've also heard that if you do a sale for at least 20% off, it'll email everyone who has it wishlisted. Probably obvious stuff if you made it this far, but I dunno, just trying to boost the algorithm and say something a little meaningful lol
200 people is a good number. A lot of that is the price you set, $3 means you have to sell that many more copies to earn a profit. If it was $30, excluding pricing people out (lost sales) and stuff, 200 people woupd've gotten you $5k after cuts. So all devs should keep that in mind. So getting the awareness of 200 people is great and hopefully they'll follow you to the next game. If you retained half of them and added another 200 new peoppe, that's a 50% boost in customers.
Just Ran Across your video randomly and decided to see the whole thing. I am currently working to become a Solo Game Developer and seeing this really gives me hope that I can also try my best to make something special.
100%, gamedev is a ton of fun to learn and improve at, nothing more satisfying than finally wrapping up a project. If you're looking for educational resources, I'm sure you're aware of the practically endless supply of tutorials on RUclips and I'd recommend starting there.
My bad, I tend to write my videos in a somewhat chaotic and hard to follow manner. I'll try my best in the future to calm my videos down a bit, though thank you for watching!
Every dev I've seen that released a second game got more sales than their first. Unless they're pushing garbage asset flips. I think the reason most devs don't succeed is because they give up after the first. I hope you keep at it.
GO BUY THE GAME (plz & thank you): store.steampowered.com/app/2313220/Never_Forgotten/

@@neverforgottengame Just " Chill out " ☺️
3D Silent HILL psx style sequel perhaps?
Well, I won't be making a sequel to Never Forgotten as it is a standalone game, my next title will potentially be 3D.

I plan on making another game, just taking a break at the moment. Development will likely start, along with some devlogs later this year.
