Chelsea logo has that thick knockout around the shoulder that is drawing allllll the attention to the centre where nothing is happening… definitely needs some refinement but proportionally is aesthetically pleasing
Glad to hear Mr Will address this idea that designers have been pushing TOO STRONGLY (and in a wrong and almost toxic way). Yes, a simple logo has lots of benefits but these days designers tend to be too toxic with pushing the idea of a logo being simple. This is making people destroy so many good logos with useless rebrands and unnecessarily TOO simple logos in the name of "minimalistic". Glad an expert has given some balance to the topic. Designers are becoming more and more toxic.
Will you asked for subjects. I'd like some sports teams logo reviews. Myself I'm a Bulls fan and that logo is timeless. However when I look at it, the age starts to show with all the different line widths. How about reviewing legendary sports logo's like that? Also, I posted a logo redesign on the subreddit which I also animated (it's a youtube video bumper). Are you into animated logo's or is that something out of your work area?
0:40 Just so you know Soccer is an English word originating as a shortened form of Assoccer which in itself was a shortened form of Association Football. Americans adopted the word from the English.
Intro to Graphic Design, courses available or that you recommend for people who are interested in starting this business without College Degree. As always, great video!
Hi William, I'm a new subscriber and i love your commentaries. I was wondering if you could do a video on logos that use human faces. I'm interested in skin care brands.
Team logos are not logos, they are emblems. The emblems tends to lose their soul and that will make their fans furious. If you want to modernize/minimalize a team logo you need to rebrand it in small steps over a long time. However it looks kinda nice tho
Hi all, I'm starting on my own logo design journey. Just want to ask a qn regarding sharing my designs for feedback. How do people prevent their design from being copied after sharing online, and being copyrighted/trademarked before you do it? Thanks.
Will, cryptocurrency is a hot topic right now. With many good projects on the rise, some also have interesting logos, for example. Maybe a video on some cryptocurrency project logos would be cool!
hi everyone! I have a quick question for those who use the subreddit. I joined today and tried to post something and for some reason, the picture is not showing when I upload the post, only the text shows. the picture is jpg and the right size so I have no idea what the problem is, so I thought you may help. ( I click on "media post" and then upload the picture but when I click "post" it doesn't show. ) thank you all either way and have a nice day!
Pretty sure it was the Brits that called football soccer first. Brits love putting 'er to the end of a name. For example, Rugby at times was called Rugger. Football was called Association Football, which was shortened to Assocer, which was then shortened to Soccer. Also, the following countries call football soccer or at least a portion of their population calls it soccer: US, Canada, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland (parts because of Gaelic Football), South Africa, Philippines (southern part), Papua New Guinea, Liberia (parts), Lesotho (parts).
You Brits called it soccer to begin with when it was introduced to the US. Then someone decided football was better and the UK went along with it. You only have yourselves to blame, buddy.
Hope you enjoyed the video! Remember to like, share and subscribe if you did :)
The Chelsea logo: looks like it could fit nicely in a hexagon (one of the shapes in the classic black and white football design).

Some certainly have strong opinions in all directions and are more than willing to tell others they're wrong from what I've seen!
I love that "soccer/football" correction, I swear. 🤣
"Genji" in bengali basically means T-shirt. I as a bengali person can relate to it more 😅
Now I can't unsee this 'জেনজি'
The "wacom" logo reminds me a lot of the "Wiko" logo (a mobile phone manufacturer).
I like CFC logo, it has the same tone as the Premiere League rebrand
make some videos on making bad designs good.
BTW i really enjoy your videos :)

Did anyone else see "Gen Jr" as in Gen Junior? I think in the UK it might be "jnr" for junior, but my brain couldn't unsee it.
Hey Will, big fan of you and your work, actually loved it.
Happy Diwali 🔥🎊.
Love from India ❤️
Congrats on winning the cricket match today 🏏😊

2:54 kinda reads like Gen Jr. to me.
Will is the type of guy to criticize a logo than complement it a few seconds later
He’s too nice isn’t he!

Probs! We’re not a football household 😹⚽️
My post on your subreddit got more than 37 upvotes but you didn't reviewed it. Why?
He does his best, but it’s never guaranteed, he’s only human after all!
the chelsea logo doesn't look like a football logo in my opinon
Say it with me now... W A Y C O M.

🤣🤣🤣🤣
„Why is everyone designing logos for cryptocurrency? I dont understand“
The Wacom logo looks like man milk. Just some constructive criticism :)
0:37 Calls out Americans for calling it soccer even though soccer is a British word...
Bruhhhh
I'm South african and Brits made us call it soccer
