Mick pulls out all the hidden nuances from 'Memphis' that clowns like me never realised - despite the times I tried to sing it. As for his own songs and his own talents - vocally and instrumentally, the Beatles/Stones weren't even in the running!
That's actually Ian 'Chuck' Duck - not Dunn - his tone isn't at its best here, but he's a great slide guitarist and singer. He later formed a band called The Rhinomen which had a harder, rockier sound. There's one single video I've been able to find on RUclips (under the band name), it's well worth a listen.
You can see very clearly where Dave Edmunds got his inspiration. D.E looks like M.J to the point where they look like identical twins. Their music both singing and guitar playing styles are identical too. ❤
Come back! Please! The world’s very dull without you.
So good to have this video; and it's well made. Worth preserving. Thanks Mickey.
Aah, those old pub rock days.
I can smell the Dublin Castle all over again.
I remember seeing mickey at the cricketers pub in westcliff Essex way back in 1970, man did he rock the joint, absolutely amazing
The TV presenter was Antoine de Caunes who was later well known for his "Eurotrash" programme on UK television.
Thanks for answering my question.
Brilliant - truly talented and much overlooked. A.great British rocker.
This just gets better and better!

I could be wrong but the drummer doesn't look like Paul Atkinson to me.
I think the drummer is fran byrne, not really sure, but looks like him, he and bassist tex comer also served with frankie millers band for a time too
It's not Paul or Fran. It's Malcolm ( Mortimer?). He was with Frankie Miller also.
