I made this little chronology for a university assignment on video editing, managing audio effects and music.
All the credit for the animations to the legendary Studio Ghibli, one that changed my life forever and is the biggest inspiration to follow my career and my dreams.
I love how Miyazaki picked one art style and stuck with it for everything. Only varying when the emotion of the scene or movie absolutely demands it. Like the change in style of backgrounds for Ponyo, or the opening of The Boy And The Heron. Those choices are very effective. Meanwhile I really appreciate that with each film Takahata was always trying something new. Starting with a look pretty similar with Miyazaki, but really finding his stride as he took the characters and removed more and more detail from them to find their true emotional identity. The Yamadas and Kaguya remain some of Ghibli's finest works, and some of the most beautiful just to look at. Kaguya running is an absolutely stunning scene. These are two amazing directors! And I would like to shout out The Cat Returns director, Hiroyuki Morita, for having their own style too only seen in this Ghibli movie. It feels so warm and pleasant.
Totally agree, such a beatiful point of view, like ghibli films :')
Also I didn't know the director of the cat returns, thank you very much for teaching me something new ʕ•́ᴥ•̀ʔ
Do you see Ocean Wave ? That my favorit ghibli film
Castle in the Sky is just an underrated gem, it has been the first Ghibli movie I ever watched as a kid and I loved it so much, definitely deserves more recognition :)
My most favorite Studio Ghibli Films in Dubbed English are My Neighbor Totoro, Kiki’s Delivery Service, Spirited Away & finally Tales From Earthsea.
WOW! The legendary Studio Ghibli music is perfect and all favorites film!! Happy 40th Anniversary!
My Favorite Ghibli Movies : Ponyo, Howl's Moving Castle and Spirited Away
Sameeee!!! Including Arrietty and The Boy and the Heron!
what a very underrated channel, people need things like this nowadays. good job. lots of effort has been put into this i guess.
Thank you so much! Even it's just an university project I want to make it so good, not only cause I enjoy it, also because I love Ghibli and it's a really big inspiration to me, thanks!!!
In the future I will be doing more thins like this ^^
Tales from earthsea was so cool❤️✨, especially the soundtracks
Totally agree! Even the story is amazing and some scenes are so spectacular ✨
Man giblhi films are just peak cinema all of then far surpasses any film that dysney has done in the last decade you can see in every giblhi movie the love and passion in every frame a thing that most films nowadays do not have
Totally agree!
The cinema of ghibli it's just art in every sense, not just because they made it meticulous and every time they wanna tell a marvelous story, also cause they put to many effort in every frame, they take to many time to bring us a movie but when they do, it's really fantastic. There's no a bad movie in their catalogue, even a movie isn't perfect still a good one
Super high-quality! Excellent work! 👍
Thank you so much!!! ^^
I'm so happy people enjoy it, thanks!
And before Ghibli, Hayao Miyazaki also directed Panda Go Panda.
Yeah!!! Not only, the most famous work by Miyazaki and Takahata before ghibli was Heidi omg
Fun fact: Panda! Go, Panda! originally released as short films that preceded the Godzilla films in Japan (like with Pixar films back then). Specifically a trimmed rerelease of Destroy All Monsters (the huge crossover one that also had obscure kaiju like Baragon, Gorosaurus, Varan, and Manda) and the original release of Godzilla vs. Megalon (the one with the tail slide dropkick and Jet Jaguar).
Funnily enough, people were watching said Godzilla films more for the panda short films instead of the main event. And it wasn’t even enough to save Godzilla vs. Megalon from being a box office bomb in Japan (it turned a profit from international releases, especially in America).
There’s far more connections between Ghibli and Godzilla.
what a wonderful video :>
Omg thank you so much!!! I'm so happy that people enjoy it ^^
my all time favourite --- CASTLE IN THE SKY...I loved the movie beacuse of Sheeta and Pazu
Sucha good video it os good and swet
@@kissmrule Thank you so much!!! ✨
I'm really happy that people enjoy it, it makes my soul feel glad 🌞
No red turtle?
I didn't put this video because it is a collaboration, very beautiful yes, I remember that more than 3 countries made the animation, Japan with the Ghibli studio included, but it is not a unique Ghibli film
totoro heart
Whispers of the heart has such a touching ending it gives me hope for the way I want to live 😊
@@tomortiz3514 Sameeeee, it reminds me how to live life and the importance to follow our dreams, working on it. A movie that it's a safe place. Also makes me wanna fall in love 😆
The comic/water color art style alone for My Neighbors the Yamadas makes it not really feel like a Studio Ghibli Anime movie.
Yeah, I feel like it's another genre of this studio, like Princess Kaguya, but also it's a very artistic animation style. Both were directed by Isao Takahata, which makes them incredible and unique
I thought castle in the sky was the first ghibli movie.
yeah, it's a little confusing but the first movie by Ghibli already established as a studio was Castle in the sky
However, the studio was founded when Nausicaa was still in production, so officially the first one is Castle in the Sky, but many people also interpret it as Nausicaa because it was already the Ghibli production team as we know it.
I'm sure you're favorite Ghibli's movie is Ocean waves
@@Starspaceytb Ironically, I haven't had the chance to see it yet, but artistically I think it's beautiful.
My favorite movies without a doubt: Arrietty, Ponyo, Whisper of the heart, Boy and the Heron and Spirited away
This is a great video, but I thought "Castle of Cogristro" was Miyasaki's first film?

@@stevenconnelly1468 Prior to this, Miyazaki had already worked for animated series and television specials, it is in these works where he met Isao Takahata, the co-founder of Ghibli 🌞
@@bonzupapasfritas I think I get it now, and that is very interesting.
