The Louisiana incident is quite interesting considering the 17 year old kid heard of a threat coming to Mass he came prepared to handle it but his communication was poor to non existent at best he he ended up being threat himself even though his attention wasnt there to be a what everyone said he was there for. All this error is because of his miscommunication The lack of a security notification on his part The kid had a mom and two kids in his proximity yet he didn't even aim at them. When the Knights of Columbus arrived the kid surrendered his pistol and was charged for "armed procession by a minor" Sadly this story has had a lot of miscommunication and editorial corrections on twitter. Ive been trying to look for a second statement or follow up statement from the pastor of the church regarding this issue. Frankly Its important here that no one was hurt but if your going to volunteer for a Church Security Team. The number one rule besides having competent skills, common sense, situational awareness is Solid Communication between fellow members of the Church Security Team, rather its the ushers, greeters, monitors, Police officers, or Pastor himself. Without good communication a good guy can be mistaken as a bad guy and end up in a undesirable tragedy. Fortunately in this incident no one was hurt. But that Kid really needed to be a little bit more prudent if he wanted to deter bad guys from his church as a Security Team Member. His Actions made himself look like the Terrorist and now he will most likely pay the prices for these poor decisions. Pray for him and Pray for the Safety of all the parishioners at St. Mary's in LA. PS: Communicate with your leaders and other security folks make sure people know what they are doing, Dont go renegade/Rambo/Commando it wont end pretty. This isn't the movies. Pater Noster...... Remember in France they attacked / martyred the 80 some year old priest at the altar only a few years ago. May he pray for us from heaven

In Nebraska you cannot legally carry in Church unless you belong to the security team. But the Catholic Bishops refused to allow security teams.
I do not believe that these bridges are coincidental.
