But technically speaking, if the user wears a glove, wouldn't that make the glove the target of that hand?
Guess it only applies to living beings, or else the weapons itselves would become targets too causing a paradox and destroing the universe

My imagination, was that the awakening of this fruit would result in that you don't need to touch something to mark it.

As always, there is also the question of Vander Decker's competence; perhaps someone more skilled wouldn't be limited to one target per hand?
my thoughts are a proper user would touch and throw something the target would have trouble removing. then use that as the target.
Burs, spikes, glue..... then throw DYNAMITE or BUGGYBALLS.
@@v1v10rnitier Nice idea! Even something extremely sticky (for the first part) could be interesting, using that approach! I also think, if the user was someone skilled in Haki and backed by a large organization (like the Marines), it could lead to some fascinating logistics.
It could only be used one way, but instant secure messages and small packages seem like a given. Just have the user memorize two important targets. In fact, just have the targets be the far points of the organization's span; the user stays centered in between then, nearly HALVING the time it would normally take for delivery!
Oh, and Haki would be useful for self-travel and larger deliveries. In which case, there doesn't need to be the inbetween relay. Destination A is one hand, Destination B the other (or an object/person in those locations). Use the fruit's power to throw a sturdy transport - which the user could hopefully board or at least tether his/herself to - then do the same thing with the opposite hand to return. Armament Haki helps reinforce the user (and perhaps the vessel). Observation Haki might be good for preparing to "land".
could be useful in moving poneglyphs around. also setting up long distance package transport. just need to find a way to catch the object without destroying it

Luffy had a limitation in the past but he can stretch longer _now_ cause he trained up. Potentially Buggy can train up the spherical area of control of his to cover a greater area. The mato-mato i think has limitless reach BUT, potentially it can train up how many targets you can 'remember'. Like instead of using his entire hand he could train the power to work with a single finger. He'll still be marking but making his power more sensitive and he'd be able to store atleast 10 targets if he achieves this.
But he can throw living things, remember when he launched people at the rygu palace?

You'd need to touch your target first, that's really horrible for a sniper.
As a bounty hunter/sniper type he could use physical combat as a distraction for setting up his ability and fleeing after seeming being defeated.

You know what that means.. if Blackbeard finds it he could give it to Van Augur ( His Sniper Crewmate ) and we know almost all his crew mates have devil fruits or at least that’s what Blackbeard wants like how he gave the Invis fruit to Shiryu.
That could be a cool fight Van vs Usopp because Van can make his shots without missing however it takes Usopp to grow Advance Observation Haki in order to win the matchup.

It's a pretty underrated fruit if you over analyze it, like: what if the user could mark someone and after firing a gun, the bullet shot towards said marked person and added with the momentum. That's super dangerous! Think if they used a missile or cannon or gatling gun!? Deadly accuracy!
And that's not even going into throwing massive structures!
Well this fruit would be good for athletes of certain sports. Baseball pitcher and Quarterback comes to mind.
In theory, this fruit would make it's user a very strong American Football quarterback. Touch your reciever and have him go long. Touchdowns for days!

I have a few questions concerning the Mato Mato no Mi. If one were a haki user, could the user imbue haki on weapons and throw them with the haki still intact? Could an awakened user isolate a body part and throw things specific to the location instead of the person? Like touch a tongue and throw popcorn in interesting directions and always catch it? Could an awakened user reverse the ability and touch an object to be thrown and then choose the target without touching the target? What if the user was Mr. 4 and after touching someone could he hit an object (like an exploding baseball) extending the power through the bat?
well we know that u can send haki through bows and possible guns so throwing it shouldn't be an issue, you probably wouldn't need to even awaken the fruit to target specific parts or places after all we've seen devil fruits with very powerful abilities but no awakening( law's gamma knife, luffy's gears, oven heating up part of the ocean, kuma's urusus shock, etc..)
If blackboard loses then he should go with a mark-mark/hand-hand fruit combo on his next run
It was shown in the anime, so I’m not sure if it’s canon, but Vanderdecken has actually thrown people before with his devil power in order for Hordy and the new fish man pirates to infiltrate Ryugu palace an for Zoro to deflate all the tension the arc could’ve had.
Anyway, I don’t know how it is for you manga readers, but in the anime he wasn’t limited to none living things and he also had to touch things in order to send them flying, so he needn’t necessarily need to wear a glove to protect his hands. I thought he just did that to be extra creepy for Shirahoshi.
If you would touch a bullet with this power, and then shoot that bullet with a sniper rifle, wouldn't that make the shooter the ultimate marksmen?

The only utility I see for this fruit is in regards to a baseball pitcher. Mark the catcher and no matter where you throw the ball, it will head towards the pitcher. Making it very easy to throw it around whoever is up to bat.

Since Vander Decken is a Fishman, If he were to become a hammer in the ocean, he would still be able to live since Fishman can breathe underwater, right?
It was shown with Jack of the Beast Pirates that he could simply stay alive underwater because of his Fishman heritage (I believe he was part Fishman?), yet he did become immobile underwater because of the devil fruit weakness. So I assume the same goes for other Fishman with devil fruit powers.

How about a version of mark mark fruit which would give an ability similar to that of flying raijin(minato) , thus allowing the user to teleport himself towards the target

Just a fun idea for a new video, pick Devilfruits you would see fit none Devilfruit users, for example I think Garp with Marcos fruit would make him an absolute monster, imagin a Garp that can regenerat dmg. And it would suit his Brawl style, for example i dont think the Morias fruit would suit him for example. Something in the lines of that.

It's very straight forward.
Touch a person, person is now a target.
Touch any object. That object, stationary or mobile will now seek the target until it either hits it or it is stopped.
This Devil Fruit might be 50/50 when it comes to pure power and combat skills, but you would do amazing as a professional baseball player.
I got an ever bigger question, if a cyborg like franky eats a devil fruit, but have some mechanism like a motor boat wouldnt it "avoid" the "you cant swin rule" (sorry for the bad english)
