    Lots of small zoos too. Many are recognized with the AZA or other organizations. They do great work. Would be nice to see them featured.

    I can't wait too see MEMPHIS next week! Never been so it'll be cool to see!
    As for the request, I really want to see Manatee Springs or Jungle Trails. However, I'd love to see world of the insect! and BTW I really would like to see more St. Louis tours.

    I think you should feature Manatee Springs next.

    Beautiful exhibit. How do you make those stunning thumbnails?

    • @ZooTours

      Well for one, thank you for saying that:) Two, to be vague, just simple Photoshop work. To be more specific, I take elements or ideas from the exhibits and exaggerate them. Tiger = Forest, Snow leopard = Himalayas, Cougar = North American Mountains. Every section is separate, the animals, the ground, the trees, both mountains, the fog, and even the sky. I mix them all together, then make sure they all have the same contrast and white balance. And to top it off, I luminize them to give the cartoon the look. Since people are commenting on them, I'll make a video that unmasks each one.

    2:33 are all American zoos phasing out white tigers?

    • @ZooTours
      @ZooTours  5 лет назад +6

      I'd say all AZA members are, as breeding them is a risk to losing their accreditation.

      Many zoos are chasing them out because of humane concerns. Zoos are now mostly focusing on mainly Sumatran and Amur tigers.

    3:25 - Isn’t it generally discouraged to let one male breed with multiple females of the same bloodline/generation of that bloodline? 🤔 Especially with such an endangered breed. It threatens the ongoing integrity of the gene pool.

      All 3 females either passed away or were transferred. The new male and female pair that eventually showed up three years after this video is a non breeding pair.
      I never stated they would breed with all three of the females.
