it's exactly the same as the la15. and it's not even that rare. you can just buy it from the market. it's not the cheapest plane, but it isnt very rare

I did some quick googling.
It appears to me, at least according to the Wikipedia article, that the La-174 was the name of an La-15 airframe that was powered by a Rolls-Royce Derwent V and was designed as a backup for the main La-15 program I think, as well as being one of the earlier prototypes for the La-15, there were several planes designated 174 according to the article.
i remember, how i started to play WT in 2013 and it was there, i was a small kid and i thought "omg, this would be awesome to have", then they removed it, so i was like "ah no, i'm so sad now", and i'm still sad till now, because i like the look of it and it would be amazing to have, because it's so rare..
Picked my 174 out of a lucky crate. Love the airframe, even went the extra mile to talisman it.
Despise the guns though, especially since I'm used to ADENs which are comparatively simple to lead.
Airbrakes are also an air suggestion, and the energy retention is so extreme and the landing brakes so weak that you must learn how to belly land.

La15 is pretty good, wish I would’ve actually grinded for this back in the day

I recently started using the la-15 and yeah its pretty amazing. The guns are typical low velocity russia with 690m/s but at 8.0 jets are far more likely to get slow enough that aiming isnt a big issue like it is in higher tiers.
YES FINALLY. I personally prefer the LA-15 but they are essentially identical so they are great fun, turns like a beast and holds all of its energy and once you learn those guns my goodness it does shred enemy teams, I actually cannot count the amount of aces I’ve gotten because F86s and G91s tried to turn in the vertical with me
Man the La-15 and La-174 are so good when used correctly. I certainly love my La 15
Dont forget the la200, also a super slept on plane with great acceleration, top speed, roll rate, and radar compaired to other planes at its br (7.7). And 3 37mm cannons are very useful for ground pounding and air kills

Haven't seen the La-174 Fantail often, but on the occasions I have they are a formidable foe, just like the La-15 Fantail.

Hey spit you think you could play another super rare plane, I haven’t seen the Yak-3T in awhile
I remember trying to grind my ass off for this plane, but each time it was available I never had enough time. Really my entire WT experience, whenever there's a limited time event, I won't have the time or money.
To me the La-15 has always reminded me a lot of the Venom but at a more reasonable BR, turns and holds energy super well, climbs and accelerates well, plagued by annoyingly inconsistent and slow guns.
Though my experience comes from sim, I think the instructor might limit the max pull in RB, doesn’t look like you can turn as hard.
I think the Venom would eat the La-15 though. It’s got better flight performance in most ways, and better guns, so it’s honestly at a br that makes sense. If it deserved 8.3, then all of the statistics that’s it’s accrued over the years would show that, tbh.

Mabey you don't like this plane, but i certainly do. Can you make a video on the Ki-96? That plane, whilst alot of people talk trash on it, is actually a super good performer. And with the latest cannon update the 37 mm actually slaps.

At 17:30 re: missing shots and tearing your hair out. You did have 3% packets loss and 250ping. As a high pinger myself I feel the pain. Pretty hard to aim like Defyn at 250 ping.
10:04 thats a british seahawk FGA.6, they dont get the missiles and are 7.7 rather than 8.0. Though you should always assume they have missiles anyway...
If you like La-15, try Yak-23, it's even better

Take it in sim.. The LA 15 was my go to for a long time.. I haven't got this yet.. I try to win it in crates sometimes but no luck so far but I've got a bunch of forbidden fruits from the trophy crates including the KV 220

this things performance beats the regular La-15 by miles btw, the 174 is ridiculous. in a 1v1 the 15 literally can't do anything bc you do everything better.
The only regret i have about this plane is i didnt sell it when i got the chance now its getting dusty in my collection.

Shouldn't be. Are you using your monitor speakers did you say? If so, most of them are about 5W speakers and are pointed down lol. If you can afford it, go pick up a decent set of Logitech speakers. I did and I don't regret it at all

@@Spitflyer ye, but what if Im chasing a sabre or even a meteor which has the aerodynamics of a brick? Why couldnt they give it at least 1k IAS flutter? The 174 is unironically responsible for me ragequitting the game, twice.
It's honestly so funny when people try turn fight my Mk. IX spitfire and I just use their energy against them and it's quick and easy with the hispanos. People need to take basic dogfighting classes or something because it's bad, even at top tier.
You still need to fly out the F4E or F5E to see the current state of top tier gameplay from the other side. You will see why so many players are upset with there being 0 counter to the MLD.

If you want to grow the channel i would consider getting into other games. DCS is going in good directions and is plagued by far less legacy issues and is way more immersive. I would watch that content from you in a heartbeat.
