Random internet reminder that *all* able-bodied men aged 16 to 36(?) is inherently a member of the (unorganized) Militia of the US (unless actively a member of the National Guard, then the maximum age extends out to the 50-year age range). We may not all be a Minuteman, but we're all literally obligated to be militiamen at the very least.

Love the brutal honesty about the PEQ 15. For me my greatest larping sin is trespassing on people's land in order to achieve the larp with the boys multiple times.
I think this industry is too serious sometimes. Its ok to admit we dont have the coolest gear.

I have the same optic on my tavor 7. It's a little heavy for a 1-6x, but the quality of the optic is competing with optics way out of it's class. Super solid.
Agreed! I had to have a daylight bright reticle as well. It was either the viper pst or the Steiner px4. But I wanted more magnification.

Nice setup! Working on a 13.9 lmt mars mrp build right now with a A5 system sending lmt mrp quad upper to d.wilson to get URX cut. Also in CA
the mars mrp is peak drip dude, thats rad! The vltor a5 system is amazing. Ive put it on all my rifles and pistols.

D.wilson mills the quad to 3.1 urx so you can use urx panels. I'm in the Bay area.

In the army I carried the 14” M4 now as a civie I have a 16” BCM Mk2 enhanced light weight. I bought knowing I could put a stock on it and be completely legal. I was more ignorant on the topic then and I almost regret not getting the 14.5” upper it’s more similar to what I carried but I feel like I should tough it out and get used to 16” I have now. Man would I love 14.5 tho
Smaller guns are the cool trendy thing. You get better ballistics with a 16” and don’t have to worry about pin and weld BS.
I love my 14.5’s, but I’m not doing cqb anytime soon and 1.5” isn’t that big of a deal.

They are still one of the sexiest looking rails to me.
It does flex a bit compared to more modern rails. The tri or wedge locks, etc. I was debating on replacing it, but I can’t bring myself to do it.
Also, finding an armorer with the proprietary KAC wrench is impossible. And they are never in stock. And $200 for a damn wrench!

If that’s the aero scope mount they bend real easily when dropped but there light , one of the best mounts I’ve found is the condition one by Badgar ordnance and u can get dots at 45 degree or above the scope but they make a 154, 170 , and 193 heights , there a little pricey though.
Funny you say that. The day after I filmed this video, my rifle rolled off the back of my truck and bent the mount 😂. Was debating between the unity of the badger. Also debating if I rather just scrap it all and spend the money on a used ATACR and mount of Tacswap. I need to make more money 😭
I have a couple aero mounts and they're just ok but on my 2 gun BCM 14.5 I have a Nightforce ultra lite mount with a verification credit hx. Extremely sturdy and still pretty lite
i love me a 14.5". I run it " clean". buis, a primary arms slx 1x and a sling. thats it. its got a p/w yhm phantom, but i would like to do another one with a surefire warcomp and warden.
Everybody is all about 13.7/13.9’s these days. But inches matter, 14.5 all day! Sound like a handy build. Warcomp are great hybrids, and wardens work great if you’re not worried about flash reduction. And they look dope! Thanks for watching dude!

Not a lawyer, but it doesn’t really “shroud” the barrel per say. They sell them at my local gun shop and ship to CA. Shouldn’t be an issue.

Eotech looks so much better to my eye, but I just can’t do the battery life. And the circle dot is distracting.

Most recent training was with the guys at GCS training group. Taking their "Hostile Environment Lifesaving Practices" or "HELP" class in March.
If it were me. My Larpy experience is 12 years of 0311/0369 and 8541 trainin' in the Larpers Paradise of the USMC.
I'd ditch the the warcomp and diffuser combo. And run a Smith Vortex. Very good vetted flash suppressor. They ping. But are every bit as good as any suppressor mount flash hider. And probably better. And cheaper. They work on .50 cals...🤷🏼♂️ Anything can be seen from nods or flir devices.
I'd ditch the Mk18 completely and go general purpose all around. Mk18's are suppressor hosts first and foremost. Designed to be used in team environments with having over watch protections in place to negate the massive ballistic disabilities of the system. You don't have that luxery.
I've had people talk about these SBR/pistols when it comes to being handy. And I'll enlighten them to the fact that they are designed to be suppressed. And when you light that b*tch off unsupressed in a structure you'll wish you hadn't. And the fact it loses all handiness suppressed. And still sucks ballistics wise.
In your larpy jizzothon filled intro scenario a gp rifle would be way better. Since you are the insurgency. You pick the time and place. So lasers and suppressors can be negated. They have their purpose.
Nods are so common place now that passive aiming is a must. I think laser aiming/IR devices on a peer to peer basis is a sure way to get yourself nuked. Flir is the future. So buying a neutered Peq/Dbal or Mawl is money well wasted.
Optics are king. Fortunately for us civs we can do what we want. I'm still seeing dots are the predominant optic on patrol carbines. And we are well past that bullsh*t.
If you watch any of the goings on in Ukraine. ACOG's and Elcans are the order of the day. Russians are running leaf sighted 74's and even the better units are only running dots. And the disparity is very evident. And we have waaaay better options as civs here.
Watch the ambushes on rumble in Ukraine. Want blood and gore? You got it.

I run 16" inch Sionics rifles as my mains. I have two setup exactly the same. Plx-c's on Plx mounts with Trijicon top dots for passive aiming. All run the A5. The 1/8 twist Green Mountain barrels they use are accurate. They are medium contour. Chrome lined. Sionics polishes them up and air gauges them. 69 and 77 grain stuff runs sub moa. M193 runs sub 2 moa. I'm way happy with them.

05:00 I am going with the Arisaka Designate IR-V over the PEQ-15. Lower profile. And it is AMAZING. People make their own minds. I'm just putting it out there.

My PST felt like cheap garbage. So I upgraded to the Razor 1-6. Bought it used for $900. Can’t beat it.
I’ve heard of people having issues with theirs, but mine was fine. I bought it in 2020 and it got the shit beat out of it (dropped off the bed of my truck as I was driving. Dropped off my workbench onto cement floor) and it held zero. The aero mount did bend though 😂.
I have a PLXc now and it’s fucking dope.

I built this upper a couple years ago when everything was sold out for months, couldn't get my hands on a real noveske or giessele after checking sites for months. It's held up really well and is super light and thin. The finish kinda sucks but it's painted so whatever. Fail Zero nb bolt carrier w/ JP bolt, and a micro adjustable gas block I don't remember who made it, Silent Capture buffer system

I have the BCM ELW 14.5 upper with a pinned BCM mod 0 compensator. I noticed your rifle has all of the banned “evil” features. Did California change the rules? Do you have a bullet button mag release? I suppose if you only shoot on private property, no one would know. I have seen one CA legal AR with all of the legal mods and I am sure it works fine but it’s a sad example of pure nonsense.
Nice! The ELW upper are sweet! The rifle in this video is a “registered Assault Weapon” which is super ghey and not recommended. I have 2 firearms I registered during 2018 and regret doing so. They have the old school bullet buttons. Never give in to government overreach my guy!

Correct. But it still cannot have a regular magazine release. It still has a “bullet button” where a tool is used (such as a bullet) to release the magazine.
The state deemed a bullet button not a magazine lock, but also said I can’t put on a regular magazine release 🤨
