    I like your idea. I did want to note that you can reuse Amazon Bubble Mailers if you shop with them or collect them from friends and family. I usually flip them inside out and sometimes cut them on half depending on the item size. Just like getting boxes for free, it adds up.

      Thank you! Always good to reuse and recycle!

    I buy dvd sized bubble mailers in bulk for less than 20 cents each. I cut 2 pieces of cardboard to match size of dvd case. Pack dvd with cardboard on both side inside a bubble mailer. I too get lots of feedback from customers appreciating I go the extra mile for protecting the dvd.
    Costco or other warehouse stores have 4x4 pieces of cardboard on their pallets of paper goods between layers. Usually can find a few in perfect condition for free.

      Cardboard inside a bubble mailer is an excellent way to go. In the rare times I have bubble mailers to use, I do something similar.

      This is what I do as well.. Always use the cardboard ...

      I do the same. The time saved tossing in a bubble mailer with 2 pieces cardboard verse whatever is going on here in video is well worth the 18 cent bubble mailer.
      Not once in 11+ years has anyone ever say anything was damaged nor had any probs.
      If it is a approx $30+ media item it will go in a box.

      @@StirCrazyBeats Bubble mailers WITH cardboard is something I'm totally onboard for. I just don't like bubble mailers by themselves.

    I personally just use 8 x 6 x 4 boxes and chalk up the 40 cents as a cost of doing business. I try to stick with DVDs $20 and up though. Cool idea.

    • @QuarterFlips
      @QuarterFlips  7 месяцев назад

      I agree, once you're up close to $20, the price of the mailer gets less important. And you know the DVDs you ship are going to get there safely.

    For me, i use kraft 6 x 9 bubble mailers for DVDs bc they use thick paper that makes it stiff and tight. I also have cardboard dvd mailers that i put in a bigger mailer that I rarely use for expensive games. I use poly bubble mailers and add styrofoam and wrap for vhs tapes.
    Your way looks very interesting and creative. I personally don't like using alot of tape when ship stuff bc it adds weight but i definitely could do your way when i run out of bubble mailers.
    You should do more videos on how package other stuff. Like im trying to figure out a cost effective way to ship single DVDs with no case. Is just the same method as before or more creative. I bought some on ebay and they all did the envelope method. NOPE!

    • @QuarterFlips
      @QuarterFlips  5 месяцев назад +1

      For single CDs or DVDs with no case, I put it in a plastic sleeve and then package it in a fold-over cardboard mailer the same way I would a 7" vinyl record.

    I believe some sellers think "The buyer didn't complain, so they must be satisfied." But I think many buyers aren't happy with the shipping or item's condition when it arrives, but don't feel it's worth complaining about, especially if the item was inexpensive. But they probably would never buy again from that particular seller.

    Your way is definitely an awesome added protection over bubble mailers.
    On used DVDs I cut up bubble wrap place it inside the case to keep the disc in place and hope to prevent it from popping loose in transit. Then I will wrap the case like you do and most times I will use a bubble mailer and add cardboard in the front and back if needed. For expensive sales I will just box them up but your method would be just as good and I wouldn’t have to use an entire box.
    Thanks for taking the time to show us your process!

      I didn't even think to mention bubble inside the case. I think that's a good call!

    I ship in boxes, because I've had issues of cracked cds and dvds... when I shipped them in bubble mailers. Glad you're showing people the importance of not shipping in mailers for media items.

    I am gonna be one of those guys...... I have been selling on eBay since 1999, 70% of my business is media, and I pretty much only use bubble mailers unless its an expensive item then I will box it. But I have had very few issues with using them. Sometimes if the item is fragile I will use a large bubble mailer and fold it over the DVD so it effectively gets 2 layers of bubbles. I am also from Canada so this is includes international shipping for the majority of my sales. But hey.. you do you! Love your channel!

    Do you use Pirate Ship for media mail? I always thought I had to go through the post office front desk for media mail.. that will be a huge time savings if so.

    • @QuarterFlips
      @QuarterFlips  7 месяцев назад +1

      Yes, there is a box below where you enter the size and weight that you check to indicate that the package qualifies as media. After you click that, you'll see the Media Mail rate.
