Regarding your question, you will need to be near the modem to get a good signal, i recommend you to get an antenna from aliexpress or amazon they are very cheap few buck.

Great Video, i was thinking to get a wifi card for my M73 - 10AX, but worry about the card want to buy from the internet may not compatible, will stick with the usb dongle.
Meanwhile my M73 some time cannot power on (only fan running, no power led), after unplug and replug the hard disk signal cable it will on again, what could be the issue? thanks.

regarding your question: the issue that you mention we do get often in the store, and it happens to normal laptops too, the problem is from hard drive firmware, i recommend you to replace the hdd with SSD drive, and reinstall the windows:

yes it will but not all wifi cards are compatible, and there is no exact link of what cards are compatible and are not in the black link of the firmware, 6-10 cards are compatible. the black list of the cards are depending the location of the sell and date, and no way to get access to the black list. you need to find your self a technician that has few of the cards and try out few.,

your model 10ax is very hard to find a compatible wifi card. you need to take it a shop so they can try different brands and model till one accepts, because lenovo doesn't give the list of the compatible card. :(

regarding your question: it works just fine but if you wish you can place the antennas on outside of the case.
I think the font panel is made of plastic, I don't know how well this will work but I think I will hold back from buying the antenna which keeps breaking and try this one.

Regarding your question, to resolve the issue, please follow these steps:
Check if the drivers for your motherboard are installed. Make sure you have the latest drivers by visiting the manufacturer's website and downloading them from there.
If the drivers are up to date and the issue persists, it's possible that the network jack on your motherboard is damaged. In such cases, you can consider using an adapter to connect to the network. This can be done by obtaining a compatible adapter and connecting it to your computer.

I have a thinkcentre m92p. I tried to install a wifi card. However there is no clip or pin to hold the card down. Does anyone know where I can get a small screw or pin to do that?
if your board doesn't have a riser or holder, but it must have a hole on board if it does then get a riser.

you can improvise and mount the antennas even to exterior of the pc :P

regarding your question: yes unfortunately lenovo does not tell you what model or make of card is not in black list, what we do we have a lot of cards and we try them till one gets accepted.

Regarding your question, you can't upgrade the usb 2 port to usb 3, because usb 3 requires 8 pins and a controller and power delivery, not possible, unless you do a frankenstein and do modifications.

Pls Help mines not working no post. It was ok just suddenly one day when I turn it on. Tried everything except removing the CMOS battery.

Regarding your question, remove charger and remove the cmos battery and press and hold the power for 60sec then plug the cmos back and the charger and wait 15 sec then press power on.

What wifi code are you using? I heard/read that only certain cards work or are whitewashed from the bios
depending your bios model, if you want to give me the exact model and pc info and i will try to get you a link for the wifi board, that is not in a blacklist.

wow i talked to all my friends as the 10ab0010us has the biggest blacklist possible. :( the only thing is get them directly of lenovo. OR use a NANO usb wifi they work great and only take one usb space at the back. very tiny:

@@uFixTek Dude I sincerely appreciate you looking into this! Well thats a bummer! But it is what it is. I did read you could modify the bios but im just not software savvy enough for it. I did however order a wifi card with a certain fru p/n (04x6010) if it does work.. I will update this reply for other viewers

@@nelliocalypse please do keep us informed, and dont do any bios firmware change as we tried and in the process we have bricked a bios and had to order new bios and solder back in. Its not worth it. Good luck and i hope you get your wifi set.

*WARNING!* If the wifi card is not from Lenovo, it might get blocked by the BIOS and you will not be able to boot because the BIOS will block it. You will need to unplug it. Try before buying.
you need to try out, and not all lenovo wifi cards are compatible too, you need to try few cards and see what card is not blocked.

no worries, i don't take your feedback against my video or anything, the issue is that there is black list or a white list for the series of wifi compatible or allowed to work with this bios. and no one has this list and for the same reason we only can try different cards till one works.i get clients coming in with this pcs and we have a big inventory of wifi cards and we test till one works. i do appreciate your feedback and comments.
It's actually an Intel WiFi card. And it absolutely has to be the correct one for Bluetooth to function... But for wireless only I have seen at least two different Intel cards in them
They are actually Intel WiFi cards. One type of card only seems to provide wi-fi while a newer card does WiFi and Brue Tootfh. Windblows 10 update has the drivers.

yes it will, but there are some wifi cards that are not supportive,

yes they do have then in built in some of the refurbished
or just buy a wifi dongle, it's easier.

regarding your option: just make sure you buy a good quality because the mini wifi dongles don't last as we have tested many of them for years and after a year they start over heating and restarting. but it is an easy option.

True, but it takes usb port and most people use all the ports but that one external solution.
