I replaced the screen on my wife's XTS yesterday in about 4 hours and the video was helpful. A few things worth mentioning: 1) CUE screens has updated the new screen and the same screen works on any year. The part number of the radio doesn't matter. 2) a 1/4" extention with a wobble head makes getting many of the screws out much easier. 3) a small screw driver with interchangeable tips is great to disassemble and reassemble the radio.
WOW!! Thank you J's!! If you had not made and posted this video, I'd have dropped $1.5k at the dealership to replace the touchscreen on my wife's 2014 XTS. SO thankful to you!! Had you not been so good, I would not have had the confidence to tackle the job. Your process was smooth, well described and logical. It took me longer than you but I was being extra careful not to break any clips. Viola! It now works perfectly! My wife is so pleased!! Again, THANK YOU for making this video!! ~GPeterson, Puyallup, Washington
I'm going to drop $1,500 if they lose that class action lawsuit. I can't see General Motors bending over and fixing all those damn screens as labor intensive as this is. Please God let them win the class action lawsuit
I have the exact car and the same issue. I watched your video, then ordered the replacement part from Cuescreens. Then, after receiving the replacement part, ran your video step-by-step. It works beautifully. It took me about 4 hours, because I took my time, documented the sequence etc. Thank you for doing this video, saved me at least $1500 because my dealer would only replace the whole unit.
I’ve watched a lot of videos in the process of the installation, and your video to help me through. This process was best by far, your video was super detailed, it took me about 3 hours, but I got through it, I think I would’ve got through it a lot quicker if I would’ve discovered your video first.
Great video I followed it while doing the job! hardest part for me was putting the moulding back on behind the ashtray What I found was easiest for that is putting the left and right side in at the bottom at the same time while pushing the ashtray back in place. great work it helped me out!

Thank you for making this video! Took me about 8 hours going carefully and rewatching everything you did multiple times along the way. I've also never removed a trim panel (or an infotainment unit) in my life, so that's probably why it took me forever. At the end of the day, nothing was damaged, no extra pieces were left over and the new screen works perfectly. Thanks again!
Im so grateful that you have put this video up. Like everyone else GM should at least given out the screen's. After studying the others video yours came on top. Wow how grateful I'm. THANK YOU!!!
I have to credit this video as being the best regarding reassembling the dash components in my XTS. Most of these videos only show you how to unscrew and rip everything apart and leaves you hanging with putting everything back together. I struggled the most with reassembling the trim/dash/gear shifter assembly and almost lost my mind. Glad I saved a lot of money but I'd rather not go thru this again.
Thanks for making the video. I just finished replacing my Cue Screen on my 2016 XTS and it works again. Don’t think I would have attempted it on my own. There were some slight differences between 2013 and 2016.
Before anyone attempts this .. One should use magnetic tip Phillips #1 & #2 screwdrivers and have a small magnetic extension tool handy Even magnetic sockets would be nice, but not necessary. One could also upgrade to the newer module $800+ to incorporate the ability to have apple & android apps with a faster screen response time & better GPS Maybe just bailout on CUE and go for the 10.3” Tesla screen that also controls your HVAC ☑️Thanks for showing us this nightmare that Cadillac should ‘own up’ to. 👉 A well known problem that the dealers have been sent TSBs on this.

Great job, great instructional video for the average diy guy to be able to do this with no problems! Did mine in under 90 min with your help, and the Mrs lol thanks again
Just replaced cue screen my wife’s cad SRX 2013 ,20,000 miles on it , GM SHOULD HAD A RECALL ON THE MAJOR PROBLEM BUT DROP THERE PROBLEM ON THE CONSUMERS
My xts is 2014 has 51000 on it. Andxdealwr want almost 1300 to replace. Mine started with the controls for air condition but didn't realize. It was all connected. They see a lady coming and dint try to help us at all. My husband passed away and I think they see me coming.
I am hoping my son and his fathers in law can do this. The dealer wants to replace whole unit. They didn't day one word about just replacing the screen. In fact it was a very big problem the dealer said he replaces at least 1000 a yr
I replaced mine but when I plugged it back in, the screen still won't come on. It's totally black as well as the steering wheel. I can control the air but there's no lights on the entire Cue. Nothing about the screen works though. Do you have any idea why it wouldn't power back up after plugging the new Cue up? Thanks for any help.
Blaine, Mine was the same. Actually after replacing it nothing works including the car wont start and the cars battery drains down to 4.5 on the meter in less that 10 seconds. Good battery and no issues prior. I need someone out there to give knowledgeable assistants.
Bro, does anyone knows how to fix CUE issue? My problem is a little different from others. A warning message block the screen "Taking ur eyes off the road too long or too often while using this system could cause a crash, resulting in injury or death to you or others. Focus attention on driving" I have already changed a brand new screen but this message is still there. I cannot see any icon.
It Would be more expensive but would it be less work to by a while unit. I watched a video and looks like it would be simpler just to replace the whole unit. More money but looked this not near as many pieces to take out. I have no clue. I am a gal.
I've got one of these POS GM build Cadillac XTS 2013. There's a class action suit about these screen spidering what GM has managed to stall it so long most people have gotten rid of them and they stop building them in 2019. I bought an after-market screen for 40 bucks and for years couldn't get anyone to tackle this job no mechanics want to touch a Cadillac. I finally found some shop with young guys working out in the middle of nowhere and the dude had it in in a single day and I don't think you have to jump through that many hoops to get it out. There's another video online some black guy doing it and it only took a few screws removed and the entire Central dash comes out. Now I'm dealing with all the other thousands of crappy builds of these Cadillacs by GM and it's costing me thousands to keep it on the road. American car manufacturers should be held criminally liable and jailed indefinitely. Now in 2023 I can't afford to get into another car or it would be a Lexus for sure. I'm just going to drive this Cadillac until it falls to pieces... Oh wait it's been doing that for years!

Thanks for the step by step. I just successfully replaced my screen with the help of this video. You saved me a lot of $$$.
Excellent step by step. Detailed everything needed to removed the screen for my 2017 XTS.
After watching about 10 or more videos, this was the best one I found. Very Detailed. Thank you!!!

How much would you charge me to do mine? I just inherited one with 5200 miles on it and the screen doesn't work in the center and at the bottom
Thanks a million. Couldnt have done it without your help. Great video.
Thank you . Very nice. Lot more work than I think I could do. But if you are a mechanic. But I am 78 yrs old
I used it as well today! Thanks!!

I AGREE..... Cadillac should really take responsibility for these.
I just wanted to thank you for this video! You saved me a ton of money doing it myself rather than taking into the dealership.
Awesome video thanks
Screen is hooked up in my 2015 correctly as per this video and for some reason it's not reading my touch
Wow. What a job. Thanks.

Most of the work is getting it out of the car. Replacing the screen is fairly quick.
