I just installed the screen using the easy to follow steps. it wasn’t hard at all with the instructions. They even called me to let me know my shipment was on its way. It came with a one year warranty and i an very happy with this product. Just a side note. I first ordered the cheap 20 dollar one from ebay and guess what. it was a waste of time and money. The ribbon was glued to the screen and when i removed it from the glue, the ribbon tore in half. Thanks again for the great video and excellent quality screen.
I have Cadillac ATS 2013 & already replaced the screen once & my screen again started going out & not responding to touch. Bought your screen from Amazon & watched video to install. Aside from removing unit from car it was easy to replace bec of this video. Back in car & working great. Thanks yall saved me $1500 & now I can use all the functions again! Need a video showing reassembly but other than that 5 stars!!

I just installed this in my SRX and it took 2 Hrs from start to finish. I am very happy with it and my screen has not functioned as well since I bought the car used. The video is extremely helpful. Please follow their instructions to the letter, you will not be unhappy.
Thank you for the detailed video of this repair, it helped me fix the unresponsive screen in my 2019 CTS. Could have went and had it done under warranty but didn’t see the point since they were going to use the same oem part.
I am so happy I found your videos and website!! $139 and less than two hours of work and my 2013 ATS has a functioning CUE system again. And that two hours could have been less but I was rewatching & pausing the video as I went through all the steps 😎 Thanks again! PS - you need to sell headlights for SRX. You can barely see at night in my wife’s SRX. New bulbs don’t change anything. Have to replace the whole unit. Thanks (again) Cadillac for less than quality parts and no support when they crap out.
I did it in a few hours but I was taking my time to get it right. I thought the screen was not working so I called the support number. Customer service was A1 for sure, he gave me a few options on what could have been wrong and shipped a second screen out just in case. I opened it back up and saw that I installed the ribbon cable backward (DUH!!!!). A quick reassembly/reinstall and I am back in business (I called and cancelled the replacement). The new screen works perfectly and looks like brand new!!!!! I couldn't recommend this more. Saved me $1380 hahaha
This worked perfectly, just finished mine took me about an hour with taking the unit out of my SRX and replacing everything. Thank you so much this video made everything flow with ease.
This video was a ton of help. Greatly appreciated. I pre screwed the 9 screws that go into the screen first and removed them. That way i made pre threads into the plastic screen making it easier to screw when i put the screen onto the assembly. My screws were very tough to seat down in the plastic.
I Loved the tutorial with step by step instructions.... It definitely isnt easy.... Im very maticulus so it was a very good outcome and to save over 1200-1400 bucks from the dealership wanting to overcharge for a new infotainment unit and labor for installation
Thank you CueScreens. I am happy with the product quality, the customer technical support videos, and the very reasonable price for the screen kit. Even though I luv you guys I hope to never do business with you again, because I will never buy another Cadillac.
I used this video to replace the screen in my 2013 ATS. Fantastic video and done in 2 hours. I will say the Cue Screens provided plastic tweezers were crap. Screen works great so far!!! Many Thanks!!
Thank you very much!!! Very good directions through video..... I played and paused as I disassembled and reassembled and had no issues with the exception of aligning the screw holes in the new screen, just be patient and take your time
Great tutorial! After watching them for several times it only took me 3 hours of work (after beer breaks as it was over 100 degrees here). I could probably do another in under 2 hours now that I've done it once.
If anyone's having trouble removing the compartment box at (3:42 in the video), it helps if you plug the power cable into the unit and open the "secret compartment". The box should come off realtively easy then.
This is a good tip. You can actually manually open the door by pulling up on it while disconnected from power. I will address in the next video revision. Thanks for the suggestion
Thank you! I've been working on the box for about half an hour, I did as you suggested, and it came right off! This could have been noted in the video. I did notice in the video that the compartment was partially open, and that's why.
Great product. Great video. Wish you had done the reassembly in the video. It was pretty easy, but I like to be careful and meticulous. so very pleased with your blue HD screen. Cant imagine why anyone would skimp and not get your premium screen. Excellent.
Thank you so much. Replaced my xts screen last night. My 9 year old helped me so it was a fun install at the same time. Really not hard but requires some patience.
Just went through this ordeal, THANKS GM! My takeaways are this: 1) Hit timeout when it’s time to start putting the screen screws back in. Video starts moving real fast and you’re finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel, but STOP. You need to align all of the little detents before you start putting the screws in. I could see how easy it would be to crack the screen. It’s kind of awkward holding the thing and the whole module is apart…just stop. Carefully align all of the little detents. Carefully inspect all of them with a flashlight to make sure those are fully seated, then CAREFULLY start to loosely insert the screws. Take your time here or you’ll be cursing everything holy and unholy. That plastic is super delicate and brittle. Ok, number 2) Please, for the love of god, make a video on reinstalling the lower unit after the screen is back in place. This is the hardest part of the whole job, unless you luck out and just have everything perfectly aligned. There are little plastic U-shaped detents that you need to make sure are seated inside the washers on those two screws he has you just loosen with two turns. You will be taking it all back apart if you don’t ensure those two things are seated beneath the washers. I still don’t know exactly how I got the lower unit back in place but I did, after about 2.5 hours and becoming convinced I’d broken the thing. You need the screen and the lower thing slightly canted to fit the lower unit up in there. Use a flashlight and search for the plastic spikes and get those to aligned with the holes-that’s the key-and the only advice I have for you. Good luck, and may god have mercy on your soul, the soul of the engineer who designed that thing requiring you to take it all apart just to swap out the screen…and especially, god have mercy on the soul who decided to use the gel screens that inevitably spider webs. And GM’s lawyers-the ones still fighting a class action lawsuit today to prevent GM from having to pay for this travesty-they can go straight to hell. This experience will make me think long and hard about ever purchasing a GM product again. Was like assembling an IKEA microwave.

I'm willing to bet that the original screen is fine and it is just that the ribbon connector has lost contact. I had this problem with my GPS, I removed and reinstalled the connector and re-taped it into position. Works fine now. I think vibration is the cause, the wire ribbon loses contact. Cheap system. Same problem with calculators and touch screen microwave ovens.
You accidentally bumped one of the white flex cables loose. Its one of the two thinner ones. See this video for how to reconnect. ruclips.net/video/M5nqZwuCpfY/видео.html
The method shown is the only way to replace the CUE screen. If someone pulls it off from the front without disassembling the module, it won't work ever again :)
I’m 64 and was able to replace myself but now the usb port fell into the back, does anyone know if it can be put back in through the engine or am I going to have to take apart again?
The buttons on the sides (hazard, glove box etc) are staying lit when the car is turned off and now I can’t remember if that’s normal. What did I do wrong? Video was great. Reassemble video would be helpful. Almost forgot to plug the little white connector back in.
Correct, this is functioning as normal. The ECU falls asleep after 15 minutes and will cut all the power. The lights stay on so you can see them in the dark as a safety feature
Do I replace the cue screen or module? My screen is currently web like cracked at the corner. I still see icons, while some keep moving in red. Bottom buttons such as volume still work. Cadillac ats 2.0t 2014 thanks in advance,
Just the screen. I recommend the premium for your 2014 ATS. www.cuescreens.com/product-page/oem-cadillac-cue-touchsense-replacement-touch-screen-display

My screen is completely blacked out...everything else on the unit works all the buttons and light on the bottom, just the screen is black...do i need a whole unit or just the screen?
If you have no display at all, you will need a refurbished module. We offer these at 80% off dealer prices, please send us a message at cuescreens.com and we will send the correct unit link to you.
Like and subscribe to our page to be informed of any class action lawsuit news- you may be eligible for a reimbursement if there is a settlement that covers the replacement cost.
I got a quote to get my screen replaced for $2000... and they also told me that my only option is to have it done at a dealership. Why would they say that? The screen is cracked and nonresponsive (99% of the time), but it is still lighting up. I'm not sure if I need the whole module replaced or just the screen. I also wanted to add- this is actually my dads car and he got the quote so I haven't actually talked to a mechanic personally.
The dealership told you the only option is to replace it for $2,000 because the dealership wants your $2,000. All you need to replace is the screen. It's a known design failure from GM. Buy a replacement from cuescreens.com and never worry about it again. It's a easy DIY job by following our videos, or you can take the screen to a local car audio shop to do the repair if you aren't comfortable.
We have now spent 4 hours taking out and re-installing cue module. We have even put the old screen back on to see if it would light up but still the screen is black. We have done the troubleshooting tips also, checked the fuse and still no luck. Any suggestion?
Hi Terri, If your screen is still black then there is a disconnected white flat cable inside the unit somewhere. They are fastened with black tape and sometimes get bumped out of place. First, be sure your main connectors on the back of the unit are secured along with the blue data cable, this is easily missed. Feel free to send us a message for further assistance.
OMG!! One of the white ribbon cables was actually loose. I can’t thank you enough for the suggestion of checking them. It’s been a year since my Cue has fully worked. 😁🥳 so happy!!!

Good afternoon my original screen had a bunch of spiderwebs I just installed the brand new screen that I ordered and the screen works perfectly however the touch portion of my screen does not work it wants me to press OK which I cannot, I double checked everything behind the screen and it is plugged in, is there typically reset process when I install a new screen or is it plug and play, any ideas what may cause the touchscreen to not work? The screen itself works fine when I put the reverse camera on, turn ac on and raise or lower the volume
The primary cause of unresponsiveness after screen replacement: 1. Incompatible version (See V2018 on our website) 2. Improperly installed ribbon cable - make sure it is the right orientation and all the way in. 3. Cable damaged during installation. Check for cuts or small tears

I just replaced mine and touch is still not working could it be a fuse ?
No, the ribbon cable is probably installed upside down. Check out cuescreens.com/troubleshooting to resolve

Sure wish I could do this .... my XTS Cue is still froze....
Anyone have trouble with replacing it and the screen still not responding to touch?
Ben- send a screen shot with your order number to cuescreens@gmail.com for assistance.
The background music is distracting
To those that finished the job- what was the most challenging part for you?
Taking the dash apart on a 2013 XTS4
I agree , taking the head unit out of my SRX was the longest part.
My 2013 ATS touch screen is no action when touch the screen. Shall I just replace the screen or the whole unit?
@@do4353 screen is much cheaper!
@@do4353 just the screen. Cuescreens.com . I'd recommend the premium screen for your ats
I found it

Why do people add horrible music to their videos? This video is great otherwise.
