Thank you for showing this. Especially if the leader is not clear I find it extremely difficult to recognize Rock ne gos. Good connection is a must to master that I think
Using your example of the basic whip (see start at 6:23 time stamp), that the count is not abnormal when incorporating the "rock and go" step. If you remember your musicality videos, you introduced the counting by 2's (which I think includes "1 ah 2"). This means the use of the "rock and go" step would be really no different than any other step, or step variation since the count is by 2's anyway. - of course the follower would have to be as informed about such step counting & variations as you for anything like this to work. Also, I see an opportunity (see at 7:31 time stamp) in the whip to style it at Megan's step 7, where you led her into a back step > "back further" (as she described), so the styling would occur at that point she went further back, then continue the styling into her steps "ah 8", which is espeically perfect if the music allowed extra styling at that point.
Great lesson on the Rock & Go concept. Very clear to see you both doing the different steps on the anchor vs. Rock & Go. Love it! 👌
Thanks Jost. We're wanted to do this video for a while. Hopefully everyone finds it heplful! -B
