Dance with body angles. Not sqare. Open during anchor.
Do non-basic footwork. Pick one or two you like for anchor and practice them as much as you can.
Minimal arm movement for leading, subtle, discrete is the way.
Mix patterns. Two sugar pushes are not allowed after one another :D
Use more stretch in anchor, for more dynamic movement.
