On a different topic...I live in Texas where it is extremely rocky. I have discovered that my shepherds staff, basically a walking stick, keeps me on my feet in icy conditions. My 20 acres is currently covered in ice and I'm positive I'd be slipping and falling a lot if it wasn't for my staff. Just something you might want to pass on to patients or anyone who is at risk of slipping and falling due to winter weather. I really don't want to need a doctor like you. I love my shepherds staff.
This happened to me in 1990 following a spinal fusion at L5/S1. One week to the day after my fusion the hospital bed I had broke and crashed to the floor. I immediately had the worse headache ever and was leaking clear fluid from my incision. I ended up with emergency surgery to remove a huge hematoma and close the csf leak. It should be noted that I do have EDS. Later that year I had a third surgery to fuse the level above the first surgery (L4/5). I now have severe spinal stenosis at the levels (all the way up to L1/2, leg and groin pain, weakness and numbness. Seriously considering a trial with a spinal cord stimulator implant. I will be 65 this year and in December underwent surgery for a ruptured achilles. 😢
I have a very long time problem which is maybe 10-12 years now. I been experiencing severe migraines and on and off clear ear leakage but I can’t see a hole on my eardrums. My ENT doctor is been just giving me drops it gets better but only temporarily. Does this means I have CSF leak? I am just not getting any help and it’s bothering me. I ‘ve been developing brain fog overtime and forgetfulness.
It's definitely not a good thing. It is terrible that this is common. There should be a better way to perform the surgeries so you don't cause more harm to patients.

Thank you for explaining this. 😮
Are Marfan's patients prone to this complication?
People with Marfans & Ehlers Danlos are more likely to get CSF leaks and have trouble healing them.
