What a great interview! I now have a greater respect for all of the Astronauts who complete the requirements!! In other words, you have to be very open minded, a team player, in addition to having incredible experience in a technical field!! I love it!! :)

Totally agree on this point. He has QUITE a resume and yet he's very humble

Russian is one of the hardest languages to learn if you’re an English speaker. Mainly because it’s a totally different alphabet. Russian uses the Cyrillic alphabet.

When you qualify, know enough Russian to get by, does community service, and was a swimmer your whole life…..But you’ve been arrested bc a cop was upset that day.

She probably realized astronauts, while respectable, are underpaid for the qualities compared to what she does now; although not as important, and according to google earns $2M and he’s probably $200k+.. she’s probably doing okay

Money isn't everything many would be a astronaut for free, less than 0000000000000.1% of human beings will ever leave earth let alone go to moon
