This is definitely one of their most underrated songs. Love this shit.
This is a theme that constantly comes back into my life, 'how you treat the weak is your true nature calling' - one of THE great lines of all time. Poetic and musical genius. Heart.
I am now off to watch a version with lyrics so I can understand what the Farqhuar he's saying :)
Even now, people on a regular basis backwards rationalize that it is somehow righteous to prey on the weak, and to make fun of people that they perceive to be less than them.
Yea its a good line.. but sometimes the weak just pisses you off
'the true measure of any society can be found in how it treats its most vulnerable members' Mahatma Gandhi
Especially nowadays u can see it all the time brother. As mike patton mentions in onecof his songs: " now assholes grow on trees...." Someday all of us are called by our true nature, however extreme ego, extreme jealousy ,hate and narcissism, scorn and so many other very negative attitudes are prevailing in society.
In short: too many assholes
The best song that I know that no-one I know has ever heard of.
And this song was used in a car commercial that was on national TV
...he says about the video with 1.1 million views......
This is damn mighty.
Then I guess you can say Strays is the best album no one ever heard of;)
Not true. It was on MLB 2005.
This is the first song on the CD. After I heard it the first time, I had to re-materialize. The whole album is so very underrated.
One of the all time great opening songs on an album
it really is! I think it's one of their best.
Nah this is one of their well know albums it would rank among the ritual album and nothings shocking in my opinion.
Everything and everyone is underrated.
Jane's Addiction needs a genre of their own. I have always loved listening to their music. Great band absolutely, and all their songs are so different. Kudos!
"Here We Go!" Kicking off one of the great rock n' roll guitar-drum-bass-vocal albums I've ever heard. These guys are dialed in.
Have you heard their Ritual De Lo Habitual album?
This proves that Janes Addiction is one of the greatest american bands,, creative shit!!
59 years old and just discovered Jane's Addiction. Such a powerful song. Perry Farrell, instant showman and Dave Navarro must be the best guitarist to come out of America....Ever. I have a lot of back catalogue to catch up on
Later is better than never, bro. Enjoy the ride 🖖
Welcome to the best band I have ever heard.
You wanna hear of course their first 2 albums Nothing's Shocking and Ritual but also gotta hear their very first recording 'Jane's Addiction', a live recorded EP to get the full picture
@@204776439 cheers, will check them out 👍👍
@@damonzap8659 Cheers 👍
jane's addiction is the best thing to happen to music since the electric amp was invented.
Jane's Addiction still kicking @$$! 30 years later!!
Radio cheats my generation out of one of the best hard rock bands out there because all they play is Jane Says and then millenials like me get the impression they're just a mellow 90s band when they actually rock your fucking brains off! God damn
Radio sucks, always has. Even when that's all I had growing up, I hated it.
Give it up for Jackson Heights own, Mr. Randy Watson You had Zep, Floyd, Jimi and the Stones on at the turn of a dial. You had it good.
My generation got around that by working, saving our money and driving to the music store to buy the bands' album.
Mike Hoont i work 2 full time jobs, and go to school part time, without a car. this generation is different. we're fucked with social security. and fucked with higher education. I don't want free education. I want AFFORDABLE education. I'm one life disaster away from applying at Chip N Dales
If u like this, check out the JA video for 'Mountain Song'
I remember why I fell in love with this album over a decade ago.
Really a unique hard rock band, no one really sounds like them...great guitar parts, snarly fun vocals...great stuff.
It is very much like stone temple pilots
Oh my god, what'a bend...You just can't hear this level of true rock any more..These guys are today better then ever before..that is what I like with real artists they always look for something new, so powerfull and so atmospheric..amazing..spit in the face
What car commercial¸ what are you talking about?
Even so It doesn't minimize their quality as rock band in my eyes. They still kick ass , and what are they doin to make buck I really don't care..I wouldn't agree with you on this.
Maybe you are right, but I really don't give a shit for their commercials , I listen their music, maybe they were short of money, who knows, I don't judge and I don't measure their integrity as rockers with commercials they do. I didn't see that commercial, and really You wouldn't like sluts to dance around you, I know I would..
One of the best starts to a song ever
Agreed!
Absolutely
Jane's Addiction es una jodida leyenda, las generaciones actuales NUNCA ENTENDERÁN lo que fue y lo que representan Perry, Dave, Eric, Chris y Stephen.
Janes in any form is awesome.
I'm always happy when great albums go unnoticed by everybody and their mother. Then I get to look like a genius when they hear it from my speakers.
Damn how did I miss out on such a kick ass song!!! WHY isn't there music like this anymore??? I hate the new "Disney" metal out now.
Darciss Crouch You leave Disney outta this! LOL
+Darciss Crouch Disney metal? Like who?
+Belencha Rodríguez Like Alladin and The Headbangers :D
What the hell are you talking about? Also is this really what you consider metal? I love the song and band but to me metal is more along the lines of machine head or 12 foot ninja.
Disney Metal that's gold!! Keep up the good work Darciss.
I've never understood how people hated this album when it came out... I mean it's not Ritual, but it's a great hard rocking record. Back then it was all about nu metal and jane's came back with this album that while it sounded fresh back then, it had all the elements of the original sound.
Agreed, a fantastic album.
actually this is the only good album they have what i dont understand is why people like their other superboring albums. this is the only decnt one
@@expertonmusic cala essa boca.
People hated this album those days because They songs are less sweet - They face are less beautiful - And they technique are less virtuosic than average 80's bands. They are too "advance" in style - Way more suitable for Nu- metal era with KORN, Limp Bizkit when "Skill- Face-and Virtuocity" arent major issue anymore in music scene. Just play loud and hard.
It's because the album went guitar heavy. Not to mention, without Avery, they are missing the one component that gives JA that sound.
this is a throwback to old school Jane's. Best song on Strays imo
I love this song. . . Feel so Free..
Pure Rock! !!!!!!
This song was the perfect intro to the movie Torque.
sin lugar a dudas está la altura de sus discos anteriores; atmosférico y mágico
13 years later jane's returned and started a kickass album the same way they did it with 'ritual'... "here we go!" and boom, a kickass riff and a kickass song. This was the first álbum I heard from them and I fell in love since then...
"Here we go" starts out on Nothing Shocking too. Up the Beach.
Badass...
Thank you
This song should have 100 million viws
torque (2004 film) brought me here :)
fucking classic. i can't believe it got such bad reviews. i loved it

Leonardo castillo v
hahaha me too ;)
As a kid I was blown away when I first heard this song in that movie haha
fantastic so under rated
Was the first international band I ever saw back in 91, we drank with very timid Dave, and Perry put up with my constant diving off the stage. Will always have fond memories of these guy.
A hidden gem...an epic track!!!
Suuuuuuuperr Jane´s Addiction---greetings from San Juan, Argentina.
This song and "Just because". Perfect songs to listen to while riding bikes on the open road!
Awesome - love Jane's Addiction since they started with their first album!
Only 2 thousand likes? Shame. One of the greatest alt-metal bands with groove that take your ears on a sonic journey like Saigon Kick, and Alice In Chains.
steve arbogast aln
yeah, i agree, the whole LP is genius, it is soooo underrated, unbelievable
shellie jumper
Why people trying to metalize all the rock music styles? Are there also oasis, nirvana and smashing pumpkins metal? That so stupid from metal kidS
@@ddsssano, but Jane’s Addiction definitely falls into Alternative Metal category.
Amazing song!!
Whoever read this, remember there is always someone who loves you.
Awesome guys - love their missing straightness - there were always been different....great musicians...with a great idea 💡!!!
I’m a longtime Jane’s fan and never saw this until now. Post-apocalyptic Mad Max vibes with Carmen and Etty dancing.😎
Yo dog, you have №nillion I can bum? 😂
Carmen Electra is gorgeous 🥰
Still love This
Love this era of Janes 🤘
The best longboarding song ever
Perry attacked Dave because it's his true nature.
You again lol😂😂😂
Yep it sure is. Of their father the devil….etc.
But Dave ain't that weak
Jlp @@astraworthington4348
Awesome Guitar Riff and Solos.

I've been missing out jane´s addiction has never stopped being AWESOME!!!!!!!
Can't wait to see you guys in Baltimore
the piano here makes a difference, on the live performances you miss it for sure.. great tune
Navarro's guitars are killin' ones.
Dave Navarro is not that great of a guitarist... like average but instrumental to this album
Who cares,he still wrote awsome songs.
@@luisfloresjr2173 Well, he's out there performing in iconic bands and enjoying life and you're stuck bitching on the internet. So I guess the point is he's good enough.
love you guys
I love Jane's Addiction regardless of what era they are my favorite band. Marilyn Manson and You will know us by the trail of dead are my other two favorites❤❤❤
broaden your horizons and open your ears, even dubstep has good things to offer. All music does.
Also, I can guarantee if Janes made a dubstep track you would be all over it because it's by them.
Great song. Navarro is the man!
Bet these guys had a fantastic time shooting this video !
+John Morris All their videos look super fun
This song is always in my head while riding on my bike...
Torque 2004 i think
I heard this song many years ago in a car commercial that was filmed in black and white with a dune buggy tearing through sand dunes. Might have been for Castrol motor oil or something. Anyways, today I finally found the song again and now know who performed it. My long search is finally over.
It was a tire comercial..cooper tires.
Stray's...Incredible album!!!
One of their best
AMAZING !!!!!
I aodre this song...really grungy bass and searing guitar licks - pure cool!
Cool song. Did not know there was a video till today.
I can't believe this song has just got less than half a million views, so smart lyrics
Fuck....I only discovered them in 2020... they are right up my street 👍
Yep, that's Carmen Electra 😍
I remember when I first heard the song, back in 2003; I was only 14 and used to listen to Bryan Adams. First thing I thought was: "WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS? THIS IS THE BEST SONG I'VE EVER HEARD!"; I fell in love with Jane's Addiction, Perry's voice, Dave's guitar and all... and still love them :)
I also the same at your age 14 years. the video was published in september-october 2003
🖤 this song!!
This would be cool film, and this song along with just because. Good start to any soundtrack today.
MLB 2005. Good memories.
Hell yea 🤙
Also remember the intro to the movie Torque..
Of all the Jane's bandmate, Dave is the most humble, kind yet scary talented. Blasting gitar solo.
Mr. Navarrow awesome guitarists!
you aren't alone. It's a fantastic album.
Hands down the heaviest Jane's Addiction song ever...
the opening riff is one of the greatest ever and it just RIPS!!!!!!!!
you guys deserves more than trillion views, amazing
ONE OF THE GREATEST R N R BANDS EVER !!!!
Whatever their merits Jane's have never made a bad album. They never date either. Riffs, chops, melodies, style AND women...they got the lot!
Great Album
SO GOOD
Every time I hear this song reminds me of the twistie's scene in the movie Torque between Will Yun Lee, Martin Henderson & Jay Hernadez
Best F1 intro song of all time...miss those days
Absolute TUNE.
GEILER SONG !!!!!
Stellar song!
The few, the intelligent, the Jane's Addiction fans.
I never tired of listening this steroyd clangs of guitars/bass pump riot song
@Benevolene And they're playing in the key of D, which was used by every musician since the dawn of time.
