Yeah. The pixel art is a 1 block per pixel replica from the game, so wasn't too bad. Then I used WorldEdit to copy sections. Then I messed up the drum section without realising and it was too late to undo... so I lost 2 hours trying to restore it from a backup, but hey ho!

Besides the tempo, it's perfect! Playing the video at 1.15 speed fixes the tempo. (Use the custom speed feature youtube has.) Also, if the duration of ticks is the reason for the tempo, have you thought of using the tickrate mod?
In the early days I did think of using mods, but I want my maps to stay vanilla so anyone can download them and listen and so I can run them on my server. I uploaded a 1-hour long video playing at the correct tempo (link in pinned comment) if you want to hear that. :)
