Just thought I would mention this, which has been true in every installment of Borderlands from Gearbox and is still true, the percentages listed on the cards are already applied to the weapon stats for you. So if the Maggie says it has 58% less damage the number up top has already taken that into account and it actually does do the 548x6.

Surprised the skeksil didn't make your list, it's one of my favorite overall weapons in the game. I carry one in every element. The electric version can melt shields, and the fire can kill unshielded flesh enemies with one or 2 bursts
If it has two of the same firing modes the zoom is what will change, it probably says it in the weapons discrieption.
The AAA he had only had Iron sights, so it wouldn’t even do anything

I have a AAA that switches from a 3x zoom to a iron sight.
Same with hornet, it just switches zoom levels from 2x to 3x.

Currently running a torgue Bangstick with it on my Fl4k unload the stickies and swap to the unforgiven for the added crit delete anything

My favorite for fl4k is the companion because every crit hit inflicts burn damage and it had decent damage. And since it’s a Jacob any crit has a chance of being a second crit on a another enemy

A lv 20 companion was my first legendary and it carried my Flak until lv 31

I feel like the Wagon Wheel is also a noteworthy Jakobs revolver. Essentially, it ricochets a lot of bullets every time you hit an enemy (it should be noted that you don't need to crit for it to work), almost creating a conference call like effect.
The baby Maker can obliterate bosses if used correctly. It eats ammo like a gold digger eats money but still good.
I got a shock Infinity Pistol and with the elemental Amara build it’s absolutely insane.
Apart from your list, two more pistol that I find it to be quite good. Used it on my amara until I get a trevonator.
Venomous Hornet (DAHL) and Unending Magnificent (VLADOF)
The bonuses listed underneath are already applied to the stats listed on the weapon card, you don’t need to calculate them.
If it were already calculated the game developers would have no reason to implement the bonuses underneath and nobody would even care to look at them, especially when they could just look at the raw values instead. They most definitely are not pre-calculated.
AmazinPandaz FTW whether you think it makes sense or not, this is how it is and how it always has been in borderlands games. There is a reason to put them. For a start all guns come with accessories/ attachments and each one of these has its own bonuses/reductions, the bottom section is the roundup of what has been applied to the gun because of these. Secondly some of the accessory bonuses can not be listed on the top card such as Crit damage and zoom (what scope it has), and so they list them with the bonuses/reductions.
I suggest comparing two of the same gun but with different bonuses. They will have different numbers on the actual card (top part). If the bonuses weren’t already applied, they would all just show the base stats which would be identical.
AmazinPandaz FTW I’m pretty sure the reason they are there are because of the parts the guns come with because the bottom text stats fluctuate
Hey, Borderlands have always put the damage number in the description of the gun after the stat % are applied. So the Maggie is accurate unless they changed it in this one.
The companion is pretty amazing
ive gotten two of them and its by far my favorite pistol in the game
I personally find it preforms better than the Maggie, and if you are shit at aiming(like me) it preforms better than the call pistols.
idk why but I got mine at purple rarity but in random times it will turn into a legendary and then later on go back 🤷♂️

No hornet? I find it better than the Nemesis
Nemesis seems it has secret effect deal very good damage against shield. So both corrosive and shock.
Machine the mind breaker also does great against shields

The only problem with the Occultist is that damn frame dip, if they fix that I would use it a lot more, but now it makes it feel sluggish
The Wagon Wheel is an awesome revolver too. It’s kinda like the conference call in revolver form.
I like the Grace too though the fire rate is slower than a lot of the other Jacobs pistols but Crits add 1 bullet to the mag at least until you get Queens or Kings gun.
I have a anointed Duc with the affect of 1% damage increase with every successful shot can get a little nutty with Fl4k
CORRECTION: Weapon stats are already in the gun... the maggie is showing you 548x6 and that is the damage after the negative modifier is applie.... a good example is the one punch chump shotgun that gives over 1000 percent damage increase.. the damage is actually around 15 and is buffed up to around 150-200 with the modifier... it's been like that in all the games.
Another example is the one chump shotgun.

really liked the Amazing Grace.I like going for headshots.
I got a shock devils foursome and pair it with the Transformer shield, which basically lets me walk up to any enemy and just shoot at there feet, charging my shield constantly and most of the time putting three shots back into the magazine letting you do constant damage without much chance at all of dying

I got the “Magnificent” the other day, that’s pretty good does both fire and shock, and holds over 100 rounds in the mag.

There is also the unforgiven, the devils foursome, the pestilence, the echo, the amazing grace, and the wagon wheel. These are just pistols that I found that seem pretty good.

Note on the Roisen's Thorn: It always fires 4 fire elemental and one corrosive bullet. It also has a sticky bullet fire mode which allows you to place corrosive stickies that blow up if you reload.
The Duc, hip fire crits all day and spawns multiple tracking explosive rounds per crit. Plus weapon, crit and splash damage. The con is the magazine size.
“What’s Jacobs special perk”- if you play amara they are automatically better than any other weapon
Honestly, the Linoge could've been replaced with the Skeksil. You can fight something with the same element immunity to the gun and it will still destroy them.
i came across the Unforgiven pistol and it comes with .... 380'sh % Crit dmg.... Im standard criting for 30k and the biggest crit i have done with it was about 625k.

@@iwilldieforhim think it is a Random "world" drop, gotten it 2x now, still trying to get a better version of it, one that doesnt roll -dmg. Got one from Graveward and the other from an Anointed

you need to try out "Double-Penetrating Potent Roisen's Thorns" - Especially with shock or corrosive element. I got mine with +69% projectile speed, splashdamage and firerate. 8 mag, 1116x2 dmg. the best part is, its corrosive.. and the "impact" firemode is effective aggainst flesh. so its effective aggainst armor AND flesh
Liqweed1337 i think that works the best for amara elemental build, otherwise flak is all about jakobs
My favorite pistol is the Maliwan hellshock. It dumps a lot of shock/incindiary damage.
Another Jacob's you may want to try, is the companion, I have the flood but seem to like this better mainly because it has 14 mag and 1.5 reload, it also has 10 crit and 15% reload so it's even faster. It has 1053 damage but also sets them on fire with a crit. It melts fuckers. One other gun I liked was moor linoge , not good with shields but melts them without out.
cant wait to see the guns that get added with the dlc's and to be honest i really like maliwan guns because they do alot of elemental and splash damage and my build is around splash.
havnt gotten a whole lot of good legendaries but im still going through the first playthrough sooo..
please do this for the other legendary types. Especially shotguns, sub machine guns, and assault rifles.
Jackobs is really good for flack because his skill trees can make the best use for them if you consider the other vault hunters they wouldn't be considered the best
If you want good Maliwan pistols, you need to try the Thunderball Fists and the Hellshock. Both are brutal against any enemies, but specially shielded ones.
Epic Maliwan pistol, Starkiller. Melts enemies big time. I'm going to play back through on TVHM just to get a level 50 version of that weapon. You get it after you kill Kattagawa and go back to Lillith. She gives it to you.
Just an fyi, the "-x damage" stat is already applied into the guns damage. The Maggie actually did 548x6 damage. They nerfed it and now it does -82% damage and only does 200 something x6.
It's a bug, they didn't nerf it.
Wrong info on the bonus perks of the pistols. e.g. The maggie had 548×6 damage but a -58% Weapon damage perk. Those 58% were already calculated in so the 548×6 damage is the official damage output (plus character bonuses) at point blank range

Look up Trick Unforgiven. The best Pistol by far. Over 1300 dmg with 490% crit dmg.

I got it from a white chest in this big torch lit room in the anvil. I actually got 2 legendary revolvers out of the chest at the same time. The unforgiven and the companion
AAA switches visor if you have found a version with it. Have one with 3x and 4.5x magnitute

The AAA is my goto shock gun on amara and even in this video it looked like it was killing things way better than the nemesis. AAA has an ok clip, negligible reload time and is decently accurate. This month with the terror I couldn't hit anything with a crossroad but AAA didn't seem too different
I am aboslutely overcome with pistols. How some of these even qualify as a pistol and yet behave like an SMG is a bit stupid tho, I like to to totally diversify my 4 weapons from 4 different categories preferably so i dont have to worry about running out of a shared ammo pool..

Not to mention the Maggie is bugged. A purple masher has higher damage than a Maggie in online mode, however offline mode is where youll see the Maggie hit over 500x6
The other day I was using the thorns pistolto farm agonizer 9000b on M4 because that was the only corrosive weapon I had but yesterday I went and farmed for a corrosive cutsman and it cut the time down by 15 minutes
Kings/Queens call is massively op if you can land crits regularly.

The Maggie is bugged at the moment if you are playing online. The damage drops by alot. U can substitute it with a masher tho. And there is a side mission where you get one as a reward.
I got a double-penetrating devastator, it is amazing for mobbing.
Umm where’s the companion in your Jakob’s list this pistol is by far the greatest pistol I’ve ever used in borderlands

There are very few boss specific or mob specific legendaries
These are all world drops you can get them for any enemy that you can farm quickly
Personally I have an anointed The Companion and it shreds. Usually use it if fade away is on CD instead of kings call
One pistol I managed to get my hands on that is incredibly good with mobs is the Companion. It is not a legendary but a unique purple Jakob’s that does an insane amount of damage currently on my moze, just thought I’d share just in case anyone else has found it

maggie is bugged to half damage values online in a recent hotfix, it's not in any patch notes and it hasn't gained a lot of traction

Nah man. Its really good. Bdw if u play w a amplify shield, the shield effect is applied to each of the five projectiles( since they are unlisted, and if my experience from bl2 is anithing to go by). That means, it is straight up broken. Also this guy... if he knew his borderlands, he would easily see it outdamages the other gun he was talkin about, with the corrosive shot+ the 4 unristered fire shots, each capable of dot.

I really hope gearbox doesnt just instantly nerf all of the "OP" weapons because borderlands has always been about op weapons. That being said of course a true OP weapon or ability needs to be fixed not nerfed into oblivion for an example the smasher glitch from borderlands 2 was clearly op and got nerfed because of it. (We dont speak of moneyshot, it's working as intended) 🙃
The Maggie is out classed by most other mashers it just has a slightly larger mag

kaleb reid yea it is really weird cause I’m still use to it being an smg even though I know it’s a pistol now. When you throw it it breaks into a few turrets which fire off the rest of the ammo in there mag and then run at an enemy and explode. You can stick them to walls and stuff too. When you stick them to walls they Superman into enemies and explode.
I haven't found anything better than the SkekSil.

Emmitt Abel It was a random drop from the hoarder tink just across the bridge from the loot tink ... got 2 one with fire element ... and this thing shreds everything ... i stopped using flakker , yep this gun is insanely broken .

for flak yes kings call / queens call is always a better option as it rewards you with critical hits .... i am playing as moze and due to its massive damage output and splash area i prefer this over any pistol ... The duc is my second favourite though :p

The Hellshock is fantastic. It is an always use and and automatic equip for me. Several of the ones you mentioned are from my own playing to be complete garbage.

Testing all guns on flakk isn't really unbiased either. He does better with crit weapons. Zane does better with high fire rate, amara with elemental and Moze with splash damage.
Moze also does well with fire rate. To be fair.

You forgot the omni loader. The best pistol in the game. And also the infinite gun with high fire rate and damage buff is unstoppable. I have the aura version and they can't move.

I love the idea of it but I think it is lacking compared to the others. I really wanted this to be a good gun, even had an Anointed version but it just wasn't good. I prefer the Flood or Wagon Wheel but again just my opinion.

They dumbed down the drop rates in recent updates but if u go offline u get the og drop rates which was pretty insane at launch
