For anyone wondering, it alternates between shock and fire damage on a timer. Does pretty good in normal mode still for me, but often slows down the time-to-kill when in shock mode.
unfortunately i cant use half the guns on this list, got the game gifted to me when it was on sale for 1/3 of the price. still, i have a friend will all DLC's so i'll make sure to bother the hell out of him to get some of these, although hes already farmed 10 different harolds lmao

one of my favourite pistols from BL3 was in the handsome jackpot dlc. the torgue pistol that fires exploding hot sauce bottles. can't remember the name, but loved that pistol
Personally the Maggie is in my top 3 at the very least. As a Fl4k main it’s saved my hide on so many occasions and I always find myself going back to it. But I agree that all of the guns you listed are incredible. Keep it up! ❤️
I'd say one of the most fun Pistols I've ever used on any character is the Scoville from DLC 1, even if it isn't at max level, it just feels so fun to use.
I love the Multitap. I'm surprised it wasn't higher on the list, even tho the others were some great guns. Still, the Multitap is just too awesome. I love that thing.
My favorite pistol isn't even a legendary, it's the Quickdraw... sadly can't be annointed... did they said anything else about quest rewards being able to come with annoints?
@@Ki11ersix one of the devs I’ve spoken to said that some quest rewards just can’t be anointed due to how they are made, but that they are working on the ones they can.
The Maggie is extremely broken. I don’t know how, but I managed to get a level 4 Maggie, and I used it well past the Katagawa Jr fight. A level 4 pistol was dealing more damage than a level 20 sniper rifle.
Speaking of Moze and the Prompt Critical, it's worth noting that sticky bullets explode when you switch fire mode, not just when you reload or switch weapon. This is very useful if you have a Bottomless/Demolition build, since you often don't even have any empty chambers to reload. If you want that sticky damage buff, no need to change your build! By the way, do you think Karass Canyon is named after Ellie? I mean, since she has _so_ much junk in her trunk?
I think her Scrappy skill in bottomless mag helps her shine a little extra, as the mode-swap speed is increased (while moving). Prompt critical is just a beautiful beast, ain't it?
I have the Dangerous Thunderball Fists legendary pistol. It's only a level 22 version at the moment, as I am only just level 30 in my play through, but holy crap is it a fun pistol! It lobs ball lightening that explodes with massive splash damage lightening when it hits anything. At level 30, I still haven't found a better pistol, as it has been tearing shreds out of even the toughest enemies so far. I've been pretty much using it exclusively for a bit now. Hoping that I can find it again once I hit level cap!
@@Ki11ersix I'm expectant of that, it was pretty much how I found BL1 and 2 during the many hours playing those as well. Wishing I hadn't left this one on my shame pile for so long at the moment. Having an absolute blast with so many things reminding me of past events... like the metal plate covering the hole in the bridge of Sanctuary III... saw that and was instantly thinking "I remember when that happened!"
Best gun for a lazy Zane, give yourself a transformer and a shock main beacon. Just jump in the face of the enemy and swap. Used to be a very effective build before the 4th skill tree.

Agreed. I just had one drop in Torgue's Slaughterstar 3000 and it was an instant game-changer; the heavy Maliwan troops that I normally had to chip away at just melted (some literally) under the Hornet's barrage.
Multi-Tap on FL4K is pretty amazing. With Megavore it's possible to get multiple crits on all marked enemies. Using Fadeaway just takes that to the extreme. One of my all time favorites.
I liked the Devil's Forsum. Fuckin' thing is very useful on my first playthrough, and it wrecks EVERYTHING in it's wake. Downside was it's short-mid range (plus small spaces), but doesn't matter to me (a Moze main) where it's useful for the next 10 levels. Didn't get to use it more, because it feels too easy.
To me, rating weapons is based on 50% power/effectiveness, 50% fun of use. The tizzy, for example, is powerful but not very fun as you chew up ammo and it's only good for bossing The most fun pistol to use that also shreds, to me, is the Multi-Tap. It's just a blast. Light Show is #2, Radical #3.
Love how in the beginning months of borderlands 3 one of the best torgue pistols was the moon fire. I'm sorry but I think that thing needs another buff cause it's too weak now to compete with the other torgue pistols now

Yes! The radical and light show were definitely the perfect picks as far as pistols throughout the games content. That radical is my go to for mayhem 11 farming. Amazing content per usual my dude 💪 stay you!
In my first playthrough I dropped a Magnificent, and felt like a minigun with Moze. Carried me for like 10 Lvls. I feel like you can make a great build with it (Honestly this can apply to almost everything in BL3)
I've only had the first DLC at the time of this vid but from the base game and that I like the DP Echo and Roisen's Thorns, as well as the Thunderball Fists
As absolutely stupidly strong as some of these will be (just started the video.....2 years late lol) The Maggie will always be my favorite. Side note, I mainly play Destiny 2 and with the recent crafting bug that hit the game recently I was fondly able to bring masher pistols to D2, so I got to combine my favorite franchises 😂
I am only LVL38 in my first playthrough of BL3, but I found myself enjoying and using the pistols more than any other legendaries I've gotten my hands on. I try out just about every legendary I get, but constantly find myself back to using the pistols with a mix of the assault rifles sprinkled in.
Just beat my first playthrough and it's mainly owed to The Flood pistol. Full auto Jakob dealing elemental with Amara . One shotting almost all enemies except for bosses. The legendaries just on normal were dropping like crazy. I played BL2 for 9 years. I have never gotten a Norfleet to drop. No matter how much farming. A full week dedicated to only Hyperious. Months to Vermivorous maybe spawning and possibly just clipping out of game. Nothing. Sad stuff.
My favorite pistol is probably the Miscreant. Not as OP as a few other pistols but man, is it just fun to use in that double barrel mode. My Moze uses Infernal Wish and it's absolutely silly.
So uhhh. Farming for a revolter in eschaton row using the light show. Tell my why I hit lvl 69 and on the kill of leveling up, sumo drops TWO FREE RADICALS and the revolter sheild. Buttt I am on mayhem 10 since like lvl 35😭 but still. I got TWO of them mfs just farming a shield.
Y’all are sleeping hard on the pestilence, it isn’t a shooting gun but the nova reload hits like a truck since it gets action skill scaling and scales off of gun, splash, and action skill dmg. Pair it with a red suit and make sure u dnt have an ase that is other than rad on ur shield or grenade, plus throw on a elemental projector and you’ll 1 tap everything with little ease
I love the harold but in bl3 I just don't use it because the prompt crit just feels a lot nicer in this game even though the harold just does so much more damage
For the replay, I've noticed that it feels like how many hit a enemy, rather than marked enemies, that increases fire rate. It's been awhile since I've had one, since the bosses they drop from are tough.
I actually use a Lucky 7 build and it's ridicilously good. With the right build (I use one with terror anoinments), you can get the rolls forever. Sadly, when you change Map, you always have to reroll :() Before that, I used an Build with Snowshoe and Light Shows in all variants. All on Fl4K. At the moment I search for another build on Fl4k. I would like to try something with Jakobs-Weapons.
Oh man I miss bl3... stop playing t game when one day I wass making money selling legendaries I needed some space and dropped all my pistols... unfortunately t game crashed n I lost all that weapons all t best rolls of t best pistols in t game so sad really deleted t game right away... but lately I'm craving bl3 but the I see this vid n remember how much I have to farm ...
It’s really hilarious to me when people say that there’re so many bad legendaries in this game. I’d actually argue there are even more viable legendaries in this game than in the other two games, BL2 and TPS.
I may have a x4 fire UKH on my Moze but most things either die or my ammo regen almost negates the ammo lost. The only reason I kept it was because it was a max damage version

I know it's only viable in normal and early mayhem but I love The Duc and The Flood. Roisen's Thorn is always my go-to and probably my favorite gin in this list. Also Unkempt Harold is just a fin gun to use.....I need to give these others a shot too though, most of them I haven't used

9:16 i would say the light show is extremely op with moze like everything on this list mainly cuz she has her incendiary skill which makes this weapon melt everything im on my first play through with her on my xbox and even at level 30 this gun is still shredding and i got 10 levels ago
My favourite pistols are mostly quite the underdogs. Nothing too busted (looking at you, radical), but still fun to use and powerful, if you build it right. Those pistols being the Amazing Grace (wish it was anointed), Craps, Hydrafrost, Love Drill, Magnificent, Moonfire, Multi Tap, Scorpio, Companion and the Flood. I also loved the old Harold, but Gearbox ruined that one for me with the buff. A pain I cannot hide.
I'm not keen on the roisen's thorns or the light show. I'm not denying they're strong weapons, but just feel the lack of uniqueness with just having extra projectiles. I appreciate the free radical also essentially has this, but at least it flies around a bit first!

One of the cool things about BL3 is that there are Legendary items that are great on normal mode and others that are great at Mayhem 11

Im sad The Flood wasnt on here. I got it early on my melee Amara and i absolutely love it. Shooting 12 bullets a second is a little overkill though.

I rolled an Unkempt Herald today on max level/max mayhem with corrosive damage, which is really gonna come in handy for melting Wotan

I have two on my moze and can say from experience that it simply does less dps than the free radical and that it is severely over hyped

I wish they'd buffed The Duc. It was so fun on my first playthrough.
With Amaras ricochet build the duc is viable up until around mayhem 7 maybe 8 if you farm a mayhem 10 levelled duc
I love using The Flood with Amara and Lootsplosion...Phasegrasp, link everyone, and criticals empty the room and drops a ton of loot. Looking forward to the next game to drop.
I'm personally not a fan of the Lucky 7, I dont like rng in my guns, I prefer the Maggie it's more consistent for me and better than it was in BL2.
Same. It's also why I don't like The Crit. I don't want to worry about losing it among the loot enemies drop.

With the Tizzy, I really like giving it to my clone on Zane. Oh what havoc he does with that weapon.
think the infinity needs to be up there- a good zane build can make that thing go BRRRRRRR
A good Zane build uses the much stronger Light Show with a Clone active 30% ammo regen anointment and it becomes a better Infinity
9:16 i would say the light show is extremely op with moze like everything on this list mainly cuz she has her incendiary skill which makes this weapon melt everything im on my first play through with her on my xbox and even at level 30 this gun is still shredding and i got 10 levels ago
Honestly the prompt critical is amazing on FL4K. I use megavore and fadeaway yo destroy my enemies

I've just come back to bl3 and I'm using a level 13 hellshock and my character is level 30.... It somehow still destroys enemies in seconds
The hornet is one amazing gun
I do know that auto reload on being downed guardian perk let’s you keep your lucky 7 rolls cos it’s more a mag refill than reload
My favourite pistols are mostly quite the underdogs. Nothing too busted (looking at you, radical), but still fun to use and powerful, if you build it right. Those pistols being the Amazing Grace (wish it was anointed), Craps, Hydrafrost, Love Drill, Magnificent, Moonfire, Multi Tap, Scorpio, Companion and the Flood. I also loved the old Harold, but Gearbox ruined that one for me with the buff. A pain I cannot hide.

As the countdown went along without the Free Radical being mentioned I was prepared to revolt. Fortunately, I didn't have to.
I'm not keen on the roisen's thorns or the light show. I'm not denying they're strong weapons, but just feel the lack of uniqueness with just having extra projectiles. I appreciate the free radical also essentially has this, but at least it flies around a bit first!
At least the light show is actually a light show, I enjoy watching the bullets
