The handheld video games by tiger electronics were the ultimate craze in the 90s! I actually had gotten a few of those in my days. My first one was double Dragon.
Strange to think ours was the last generation to grow up watching Looney Tunes/Merrie Melodies. They used to be on all the time on network and basic cable, but WB put a swift end to that in 2000. Now those classic cartoons are practically obscure relics to anyone under 22.
gokinsmen thank goodness for youtube and others for preserving these classics. I watch them, and when i have kids, this is exactly what they're watching! I'm raising my children on the good stuff.
Part of that was also FCC rules. At the end of the 90's they put in a lot of rules forcing broadcast kids cartoons to be "educational". Unfortunately for any kid over 3 it meant they were "unwatchable" so the TV stations followed NBC in dropping all kids programming. Apparently, it's better kids watch Jerry Springer than Looney Tunes after all bugs bunny might inspire kids to attack each other with dynamite and giant mallets.
I definitely remember the Botsmaster cartoon in the early 90s. I assume that was a cartoon where you had to wear 3-D glasses to see some of the action that happened in it. I also remember owning a light Brite one time. It was a very interesting item to have.
Wow... Hills. I miss that store (there was one in Roanoke, VA and turned into Ames around 1998 or 1999). So many memories of playing Final Fight at the front of the store.
8:01 - That Cliffhanger commercial makes no sense. So, the kid's at a boring party, getting insulted by his aunts, so he decides to distract himself by thinking back on an even more boring video game based on a movie that was pretty much already forgotten by December 93. Apparently the game was so bad, it drove him insane, so he's now swinging half-naked from the chandelier. I don't see how that is supposed to make you want to play the crappy game, but that animated Stallone face at the end almost makes it worth it...almost.
Cliffhanger came out in May of '93 and probably would have been releasing on home video at the time. Video Games based on movies almost never coincided with their theatrical release back then.
Wait a minuite, the "Tom Foolery" dude used to be on WFLX-TV in West Palm Beach up until the mid 90s...so that's where he ended up. (And yes, I know that's probably not his real name.)
Transformers G2-they shouldnt have bothered,IMO..just leave the episodes as is without all the snazzy CG transitions and bumpers Cliffhanger video game-the Sega CD version was even worse..it was just the side-scrolling game with psuedo-3D "snowboarding" segments added
Not true, my good man! The Sega CD version also had horrible quality clips from the movie added between the levels, as I think Sega had some kind of rule that all of their CD games had to have low quality and grainy movie footage in their games, because it was "cool" at the time...for about five minutes. Then everyone played Night Trap, and moved on. It's a shame. The Sega CD did have some gems (the Lunar games, Snatcher, Popful Mail, Ecco...), and really did deserve better.

Those fox kids commercial bumpers were practically burned into my memory as a kid. Fox Kids was the go to after school block.
The 90s, the last great generation for kids
Certainly for kids' TV. I'm thankful I got to grow up then. The last great American decade.
It's hard to describe how I feel watching these. Bitter sweet i guess. Such fond memories but sad to see how the world has changed.
I agree
Agreed
Agreed!
I love the 90s the last great decade
I could go for a bowl of Christmas Crunch right now.
Christmas in the 90s, the best.
Back when Saturday's actually meant something.
These aired on a Tuesday afternoon
80sCommercialVault We need those type of commercials ran thru the week again.
I LOVE THE 90'S
08:32- I was hoping troll Barbie would be the kind of troll that ambushes other dolls, clubs them and eats their bones.
These days it would be more like troll Barbie making fun of other people anonymously online to get attention 😂

Disney has also let most of their cartoon shorts fall into obscurity. It's pretty sad. At least WB has put out a lot of their old shorts on Blu Ray.

My 3 kids (ages 16, 14 and 2 years old) watch Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies on DVD and RUclips.....always have.

10 minutes to midnight before December 1st. Think this would be a nice way to cap off November, I think. :D Nice timing.
heheh that girls in the Snow White game commercial is so funny with that oversmile. I wonder if she looks back and laughs.
I still have the X-men poster, tiny comic, and trading card!
I wish the Tom and Jerry kids show was a available to watch. Loved it when I was a kid
2:23 WOAH... you just dug something out of the deep recesses of my brain. I watched this but don't remember a single thing about it. heh.
Troll Barbie...spends all her day on the Internet, fat-shaming other women, and calling celebrities fat or ugly for no reason.
yusakug lol you read my mind.....

Ah the Bots Master, such a rare sight to see in the wild.
The X-Men videos were the only reason I ever ate Pizza Hut.

I wonder who won that barbie collection
5:45 "Here comes our train... Cool!"
That inspirational commercial at the end was depressing. If we only knew then what we do now
Dangit WPGH, STOP. CUTTING. OFF. ENDING. CREDITS! This one is slightly better than the last volume.
Transformers G2 was lame with the new CG
I also liked DS9 more then ST:TNG 👽
rsdaddy141 Picard > Sisco any day bro.....
True,but DS9 was better. I'm a big fan of both,though. 😁
Transformers G2-they shouldnt have bothered,IMO..just leave the episodes as is without all the snazzy CG transitions and bumpers
