    THIS STREAM IS NOT TO BE USED FOR REAL WORLD FLIGHT TRAINING
    The primary purpose of this stream is to give you the opportunity to see how a Real 737 Captain operates a desktop simulated aircraft in real time using real world operating procedures.
    Whilst every effort is made to accurately replicate the way the aircraft is flown based on my experience as a Training Captain and Type Rating Instructor, this is purely for entertainment only.
    If you happen to be a line pilot or training pilot you must not follow the guidance in this livestream, it is purely for non-professional computer simulated flight. Only consult your approved material from your respective operator.
    Personal questions and queries regarding my employment status will not be answered.

    What a landing. It's so cool to see you're still excited to butter after all these years of being a pilot.
    Sure, it is cool for the passengers. But for the pilots, it's really just another Tuesday in the office for you guys. So it's great to see that reaction.

    Thank you - excellent video and... I like the way you explain, so well, why a professional pilot who also can use desktop sims, assumes that these can actually be useful for training, familiarization and proficiency, used to their best. Also liek how you talk so well, unibiased, about both platforms you use - XP and MSFS !

    Hello bro 🙌
    I would like to know which one do you prefer between MSFS and XPLANE in term of flight realism ?

    Hey cap I was departing Dulles in the 777 and leveled off at 3,000 feet it was pretty turbulent I was in a right turn and the 14 knot direct crosswind became a tailed wind while I was in a down draft, the fpm in an second went down to -700fpm I corrected quickly and only lost 30 feet would you have to file and incident report irl, and would you be introuble if this happened irl.

    A320 driver has done some tutorials for the pmdg 777, apparently he was a beta tester. He mentions that there are some differences in the FMC from 737 etc especially when trying to set the spped constraints. Hope it explains it

    @flightdeck2sim So, out of 10, what would you give the PMDG 777 300ER?

    • @flightdeck2sim
      @flightdeck2sim  2 месяца назад +1

      Solid 8.5, they need to improve those 🔊! Apart from that the rest is excellent!

      @@lukethomas.125 both are great addons, I should think when the FF 777 is released it will be more detailed than the PMDG 777.

      @@flightdeck2sim we are in 2024, and we are still comparing like children. So, with age does not always come wisdom. so already without both being released already you "know". If simmers were into real "realism", you would expect a different tone of realism. OR at lease an acknowledgement that simmers are not always right
      especially on a static screen AND chair and no inertia or momentum, you would think that not one of these platforms actually simulates a real flight. Apart from procedures, it all boils down to personal preference
      But aside from this complete overfocus on "physics", to sim in a fantastic world is STILL a clear advantage in any desktop sim

    can you talk about enroute alternate airport planning and procedures?

    • @flightdeck2sim
      @flightdeck2sim  3 месяца назад +6

      When it comes to non ETOPS operations/non oceanic flying in Europe no en-route alternates are required if you use a contingency of 5%, so long as there are adequate airports within 1 hours flight time
      If you do have an ERA planning minima required for ERA is dependent on the type of approach available (Type A/B), the cloud base and RVR/VIS must be higher than the minima required. (eg Type B = DA/H +200ft and RVR/VIS +800m).
