I just love Henry Cho!
Love Henry Cho & that he does clean comedy
My wife and saw Henry Cho in a small club in (I think) Sunnyvale, which is like a suburb of San Jose. This was even before his cameo on Designing Women (which was hilarious). I've loved his material ever since, and I especially appreciate that he works clean. That's so unusual these days.
Yes, that's where I first saw Mr. Cho also. The one on the El Camino near Mathilda, the name is escaping me. I was the young woman who could not stop giggling. 😂
I got to meet Henry at a private gig a week after we lost Hedberg. I brought up Mitch’s passing & didn’t know that he & Henry were close. so, I was speaking of Mitch as a fan & Henry was recounting him as a pal. Henry killed that night & I became an immediate fan. I hope he sees the success he deserves
Pffft 😂
Henry reminds me of Mitch.
Cheering for Henry too, just found him
Oh man, Korean American here, and I’m a fan of both. We need more of this
how can you not love Henry?, Always such a genuine and funny person.
Henry you are so funny. I love that you are clean! Keep up the good stuff
Henry is a genuine man a true gentleman.
Henry Cho is hilarious! 😂
Watching them out of order! I keep finding one more!!
Keep ‘em coming🤗
Henry is so funny! Great personality! Always great to see him do his thing!!
Henry Cho's "Jonly Bonly Stewart" joke is a complete core workout! Classic!
too true!
@@stevebyrnecomedyI love the name "me"joke too!!
Seen him in 1991 at the Punchline in San Francisco then a month later Margaret Cho at the same place
Amazing experience!
I have an idea, get all the underrated asian comedians like steve byrne, henry cho and make comedy specials and shows and market them globally to asians all over the world. Kinda like crazy rich asians style. Once they finally get the recognition they deserve, then america will start to appreciate them more
Freakin CHO!!! Love this guy. Amazing episode.
yeeeees! Long time fan of Mr. Henry Cho!
Wow David! You are a rare find these days! Keep it up!
Henry needs a new hour.. meaning a whole new hour.
I've been a fan of Henry Cho pretty much from the first time I saw him, which couldn't have been long after his 1986 debut. I also spent 10 years as an EMT for an ambulance service, fueled in large part by Randy Mantooth's role as John Gage on the 70's TV show "Emergency!" Henry includes his heritage in his material; Randy seems to want to avoid discussion of his Indigenous roots. As someone whose lineage is so Northern European as to make me virtually translucent, I'm struck by what I recognize must be a difficult decision regarding whether or not to embrace being the "poster child" for your particular background--"He/she is the best [fill-in-the-blank] actor/comedian in Hollywood."
Hahaha!! The first time I saw Steve Byrne was when I was taking a wee at the Funny Bone restroom. I looked to my left and there he was weeing at the next stall. I was in disbelief and I wanted to say "Hi" lol. I couldn't, the words wouldn't come out my mouth because there was another part of my brain saying "This is not the right time". Unfortunately we caught each others eyes "mid-weeing" and I guess I creeped him out as he shuffled his body away from me thinking I might be taking a peak at his weener.
My bad Steve.
Way to put it. Henry was around back in the pioneering days. Put in his work in tv as well. Saw him on Arsenio and late night shows. Funny as hell. . Great ep☝️🔥
he's a true legend! been at it for a long time. Such a talent
Great episode! Henry is very funny! Always love hearing the stories you and your guests have to tell. Thanks Steve!
thanks. this one was special for me.
Henry cho is a great guest he is hilarious another good one the upgrades are noticable aswell keep it coming Sterverino
THANKS SHOTO!!! We did get better cameras and audio. Thanks for picking up on it. The shows will only get better bud. Appreciate it.
I like this format. It was nice that no one was over talking the other. It was more personalized and gave me some “one on one” time with your guest. Nice not to see Zany’s staff working in the background while your podcast was on. Thanks Steve!
you got it. appreciate ya checking in as always!!!
Although I'm late and still catching up. Haven't watched an episode I wouldn't recommend to the masses. Another banger. 👍💪
Bobby looks like he won the lottery and lost everything 😅 definitely love the introduction and history behind some of the comedians as well!! Great episode yet again
love it! twas a fun one. Got some good ones around the bend!
@@stevebyrnecomedy Would definitely like to see Bobby on here eventually!
You're doing great things here
I met Henry in Jax and played golf with him in Jax was a riot
Great to see Cho!
It was tough to get him away from the golf course but glad he made it.
Good stuff
Thank God, Henry's comedy is VASTLY different than Margret Cho.
Not being critical, Henry is the best!
Its a shame Henry isnt more notable mainly because its very hard to get noticed as an Asian comedian

After the example joke we got for Saget was the "I'm nuts over my daughter" you say that he didn't do "low hanging fruit" ???
When you're talking about connecting with comedians in the past more than we do today, I'd agree with that in some ways. But, on the other hand, I think that with comedians that are on podcasts and interviews like this we get to see "behind the curtain" a bit more and I feel like I've gotten to know YOU pretty well over the episodes of the show, much more than I would know people in the past.
I'm catching up on previous episodes. I'm still shocked that more people aren't watching. Maybe this is more for us fans that love all parts of comedy.
I ❤ his comedy. 😊
My favorite episode. You should make more in this longer interview format.
Thanks so much. the eps will shift depending on who the guest or guests are. Appreciate ya watching!
i'm so glad i saw the post on facebook regarding this podcast - I've been following you on FB since Sullivan & Son and just saw a post regarding the podcast this past weekend. It's so weird that i see see your other rants and posts but never noticed this one. i would have been listening/watching this pod for months. Thanks Steve for the great content.
slept king!!!
4 Sho Cho! Pioneers Of the Game: TN legend like Reggie and Peyto. CONGRATS on Sponsor 💰
too kind! Thanks so much.
Og of the og
Bro . Henry is hilarious
who really was famous back then ?: Henry Cho, Margaret Cho ("All-American Girl").. then, a former GF from Sam Kinison (Tamayo Otsuki: "Davis Rules" (Jonathan Winters ("Mork and Mindy"), Debra Jo Rupp ("That 70's Show") ); Bobby Lee ("Mad TV" sketch comedy show; "TigerBelly" podcast); the funny Steve Byrne, Dr. Ken Jeong, and later on, Jo Koy. I think that Steve Allen is a comedy legend; Lewis Black (I love his sense of humor; a "disgruntled" angry man that should on a show, like "Curb Your Enthusiasm" with Larry David & Susie Essman (as "Susie Greene") ) and a former NBC executive Brandon Tartikoff (dang !). If I was a comic, one has not arrived (to the mainstream masses) until you had an appearance on the Tonight Show (with Johnny Carson (and his sidekick Ed McMahon; Doc Severinsen's "Tonight Show" band); but in Henry's case, it was Johnny's successor, Jay Leno).
Byrne is a clone for the Panamanian singer actor and singer Ruben Blades
I love this. Let’s go Asians!
I saw Henry Cho easily over 25 years ago. Back in those days Henry's southern accent was very heavy and he was difficult to understand. Move forward 25 plus years and I come up this interview. Either Henry's toned down his accenting or I've learned to understand southerners better. I like to think it's the former, his southern accent has toned down.
Hey nice Dave Keuning sweater.
Steve Byrne'n Down the House
I'll take it!
Just finished the first 7 episodes this morning and was bummed. I'm really excited to see this one and that you are no longer using handheld mics. Hahaha!
we upgraded on cameras and mics. the shows are going to be better quality from here on out.
@@stevebyrnecomedy just finished the episode and loved the upgrades. It truly allows you to shine and removes a lot of the distractions. I see this being a huge podcast!
I wonder what Jonly Bonly Stewart is up to these days…..🤠
Did the aziz clip get edited out? Really liked this format and camera work!
the aziz clip got flagged here on youtube but the audio versions are good if you want to listen in. thanks for noticing the new equipment!
I liked the joke better when he said his daughter said it, was it actually your son? Why the change?
WHy doesn''t this host let Henry TALK?
Tell Henry that neighborhood in West Palm Beach is still a shithole lol. I work near where that spring training stadium used to be
I shall share Mark! Thanks so much for tuning in bud.
Honestly, enjoyed the old format more.
I really enjoyed the short intro and jumping straight into the clips.
I ended up fast forwarding the first 18 minutes. There's a LOT of interview shows out there but the premise of this show is very original.
I had never sat down with Henry before so I wanted to get to know him a bit more. Every episode is different from one another. But thanks for watching
I remember Henry's OLD opening. When he'd come on and start talking with his southern accent, he'd stop and say, Ya'll are looking at me like a bunch of retarded kids in a math class. Not PC these days, but it's was still funny as hell. I first saw Henry on the old Nashville Network. Funny guy.
Thumb up if like clean comedy
He is little Joe still
Dude, the hangover movies ..youd gave made or could be a better, less cookie cuttered, chow or whatever his name was in the movie.
I love Henry Cho but NOT impressed with this channel trying to help people get out of paying what they owe. The rest of us get stuck paying it
If you think everything Bobby Lee does is hilarious, look up the fight he got into with another comic it’s Friggn HILARIOUS!🤣🤣🤣

He forgot the 4TH qualifier: EAST !
SOUTH EASTERN KOREAN COMIC.
WHERE I'm from east of the Mississippi River is Eastern, southern is deep south.
I'm from the South West; Albuquerque, NM. I THINK half the state is more southern than Georgia
I'm Henry's age and this is the first time I've heard of him.
I was in school, working my way through, got married and moved to WA State. In the 90s My family started growing. I DID NOT HAVE TIME FOR TELEVISION!
this NEEDS to blow up!! one of my fave pods of all time already (and i watch A LOT of pods)
LOVE THIS!!! Thanks so very much for tuning in. Getting better. Spread the gospel!
Thanks for recognizing Mr. Johnny Yoon😭😭
There was one film that Bobby Lee had mentioned, which I saw, it was called "They Call Me Bruce ? (1982)" (Elliott Hong was the director). Yoon was mistaken for 1970's (Hong Kong) Kung Fu cinema superstar and martial artist, Bruce Lee ("Enter The Dragon;" "The Green Hornet" tv series).
Another gem of a episode, with an absolute LEGEND! Great job Steve, keep them coming! Let’s go Pens!🖤💛🥅🏒🐧
HELL YEAH! LGP, great win last night. Thanks again.
That bit on Designing Women was awesome. I knew who Henry Cho was at the time so I knew how the bit was gonna go. It was still funny as hell. BTW This was a great episode!!! Thank You!
LOVE THIS! thanks so much and hope to see ya each week w us.
I love his J.B. Stewart bit. Jonly Bonly Stewart.
Thanks for another awesome episode, keep it up - there is definitely an audience for this stuff!
We shall keep grinding! If you enjoy, we love if you help spread the word!
I’m astounded neither of them connected *why* the Borscht Belt evolved. It was segmenting off comics and audiences based on their origin.
Henry if you are checking out these comments, does Arab, AL have a sign that says "Home of Henry Cho's Wife?" LOL
Don't feel bad, Henry....I'm 72 and STILL no one knows what to do with me !! 😂
The hangover? You know Brody Stevens was in that? You got it!
Heh Hop Sing 😂 yes
Why is the RUclips version different from the audio? On apple podcast after lewis black it’s Aziz and on here it’s Bobby Lee.
the aziz clip got flagged here on youtube so we had to cut it but yeah, the audio versions are still including him. thanks for picking it up Ralph. Best to you and hope to see ya each week w us.
No martial arts. 😂
That host just does not stop talking
Here's my pinata:
Black: 7.0
Aziz: 7.5
Bobby: 8.4
Cho: 6.9
Agreed! Nice work
What happend to the Aziz's clip?
GO VOLS!!
