I feel like 30 was just yesterday, I’ll be 60 this week, I’m sad to lose my youth, I’m not in a good place at this point, my mom died in 2016, that year I lost my grandmother, my dog and had to pull my daughter out of school, my relationship of 35 years fell apart, going on 5 years later and turning 60, I don’t know what the point is anymore, I’m stuck and there are still a lot of unresolved issues, I miss my mom, she was my strength. I yearn to hear what my peers are saying about 60, stumbled on your video, gonna look for more, you gave me some hope. ❣️
Dear Christine, thanks for your honest and open sharing. I believe there are no coincidences in life and that life only offers us challenges that we are able to facd and grow from. I lost my father in 2017 and I know how devastating that can be. On the other hand it opens for us space to explore and learn many new thongs. Turning 60 has been one of the most freeing experiences I had (until now) which allowed me to discover new thongs about myself and the world around me. Allow yourself to look at this period as a new beginning and getting to meet yourself as a new person (which you are) without expectations or demands, just as you would meet someone new and see what come out for you. Just think about it as going on an adventure... would love to hear how it went for you
i feel the same in 2 years i turn 60 i feel i wasted my life. no savings no family . divorced . and live alone . feel lost but i have good health and decided to try making my passion a new career goal. photography has always been a favourite hobby of mine so im doing a course in it at this moment . so eventhough i am very depressed about growing old. i am keeping myself occupied and hope to become self employed by the time i turn 60 . its not growing old that bothers me its how young people perceive me? if that makes sense?
Let me tell you all something. Death is an enemy and is not natural. We were designed to live forever and not age. I know what a lot of people are going to go ‘ Oh no not another Christian ‘,!!!! ‘ but before you jump to this conclusion, just let me say that God is real ! I’m not a gullible person and believe in things without evidence and proof. As an example of evidence, archaeologists in our time have discovered so many items that support what the Bible ( Gods Word ) says as happened in the past. They’ve even found Noah’s Ark which was from the Great Deluge when God had to flood the entire Earth because of the way the majority of the people at that time were living, but talking about the deluge is going off the point, but there is especially in our time so much other evidence as well. Now let’s go back to the beginning of Man, Adam and Eve who God created. When Adam and Eve were created, God meant for them to live forever and to inhabit the entire Earth along with populate the Earth. But when Adam and Eve broke the only 1 rule that God set for them, and the only rule was not to eat from only 1 tree. When they ate from that tree they sinned and that’s why we have inherited sin and as God told Adam and Eve that if they eat from that tree, they would surely die. So Adam and Eve eventually grew old and died, so that is why people die because they have inherited sin. But I have some good news. God’s original plan that man lives forever on Earth is still going to occur. Please don’t think that what I’m telling you is superstitious and only a fairytale, because there is no way that God doesn’t exist, and instead of dwelling upon things like age, and it’s the end of life, because it doesn’t have to be that way. It doesn’t have to be that way at all ! There’s hope !!!! Hop on your computers and take a look at JW.org and over time you’ll discover that God is real. Gain hope 😊

Thanks for this great video. I’m 60 and will be 61 in 2022. I’m in the re-inventing myself stage. You’ve encouraged me to think about all of the things that make 60s a great place to be.
Life lesson to me was realizing that I should’ve started doing stocks in my 20s-30s instead I was living life with no real reason. Now I am older and the stock thing is looking too complicated to even start.. have about 150k to put in but its so confusing.
Thats when you hire someone to manage your money. You need a (CFP) straight up! personally, I would invest in ETF's and also love investing in individual stocks.
I took charge of my portfolio but faced losses in 2022. Realizing the need for a change, I sought advice from a fiduciary advisor. Through restructuring and diversification with dividend stocks, ETFs, Mutual funds, and REITs, my $1.2M portfolio surged, yielding an annualized gain of 28%.
Please live your life and try to laugh a lot and don't take things or yourself seriously. You have so much learning to do and so much belly laugh to digest😊
I will be turning 60 this year & I am loving it. Never felt as awesome as I am feeling now. I am done with marriage, kids, family etc. and looking forward to moving on with my partner. I am Asian and looking old at 60 is never in our genes. Cheers
Oh my goodness. I turn 62 tomorrow and feel like I'm having a 2/3 life crises! Wow, I am completely befuddled as to what to do next, and this was really helpful. I just needed to know I'm not along out here in 60's land.. If I had my way, I'd go back to school and get my masters. Or I'd grab a RV and head out for about six months every year for as long as I could. Fun ideas!
You can still do all this JAn... I'm 62 this year and just started a new course in Cambridge online courses... and our plan is next year to take an RV and explore the down and under continent - Australia...
@@MindfulnessPlace Thank you for the encouragement! I love the class idea and will definitely look into that. Getting my nerve up to start cycling now that the weather is changing. One decision leads to another! :)
Dear Christine thank you for this positive and uplifting video; i am now sixty and retired and totally happy about that. Youre advice is good and forward thinking.❤
I am totally agree dat life begin @60 If you get 100 years and that is my intentions is young, vital, healthy and happy getting high age. than I have almost 38 years to go. I think I am on my way... Thank you for your inspiration, happy to do the most of this already...
I am turning 60 next year and I am very scared because, I’m going through a divorce. This will be my second divorce, but I feel like I owe it to myself, and my three kids from my previous marriage. I can do it and I’m going to be just great. I feel strong, and I feel like I am ready to start a new chapter on my life. Thank you for this video it did help.
Thank you for your honest comment Aurora. Obviously going through a divorce is scary AND at the same time you should remind yourself that you've done it before and survived (and maybe even thrived for a while). You need to keep reminding yourself that you are stronger and braver than your mind gives you the credit... the proof is... YOU'RE STILL STANDING!!! Starting a new chapter is always scary. What we need to remind ourselves is that fear and excitement are the same. The difference is that in fear we stop breathing while in excitement we breath (A LOT... Think how we scream for joy on a rollercoaster)... Take a deep breath and do the things that you want IN SPITE of the fear and you'll find yourself excited.
I am 60 and I want to go to school and get my degree in Industrial Engineering. I'm a little scared! But I think I'm up for the challenge. I always held myself back due to family commitments but that has changed.
@@MindfulnessPlace that's your opinion growing is depressing and you lose mobility even if you bike or walk no way are u gonna be able to keep with a young girl .My niece can bike 20 miles and day and still have time to play tennis with her boyfriend. No wants to deal with old hens you'll often get ignored and treated with no respect from others.
😂 you made giggle!!! So intuitive 😂😂 I wonder what technology will look like in 43 years! Keep healthy and you will definitely live to a ripe old age!! Cheers to 100 yrs. Young
I’m 59 and have a year ahead to plan my life after 60. I have lived in a metropolitan all my life and have worked as an educationist. I will be retiring as a Principal if a public school where I worked for 30 years. I plan shifting to my fathers village and living in his house which he desired not to ever sell. I plan using my knowledge and experience to mentor young women and make them stand up for their rights as in my country it’s still a patriarchal society . I will volunteer to teach yoga and offer to improve the standard of teaching in the school of the village . As a retired principal I feel I’m qualified to do so. These are the dreams I want to live.
Great to hear that you were inspired by it... However, if moving to a new place is not something that is possible, you can try just part of the year to spend somewhere else... or find something else that captures your heart!
Retiring in Augustus, 66 then. And yes created my next adventure, visiting family in New Zealand and discover its nature. Will translate in an international training for young people. Will visit friends I met throughout my life who live in another country, f.e. Kenya, where I could also contribute a few months in a home for children who lost their parents, set up by a friend. Also looking if/how I can combine this while assisting in some trainings while travelling abroad.an opportunity to meet new people and learn for myself out of being around these trainings. Hiking, nature is beautiful and a place where being with myself is such a peaceful experience. moving to another country not planned but no problem having that happen. will start again supporting people around their health and nutrition. Then here in the Netherlands there is a walking route along the shore from the South of the country right up to the North, would be fun. There is also a biking route through Europe, just do it partly is interesting. My home is my basic place, intended to move but guess that will be happening at the end of my list 😄 (the rent is low, and could even have people stay here, looking after my house). Might turn out by taking this on I moved myself to the world☺️ So yes...I’m ready 😃
Thank you awesome Verd :) When I turned 60 someone told to me "you have to hurry with all your project, on a few years you are going to retire! Retire? Me? My life just started retire is not on my list of achievement haha.. Good to know most of the thing you mentioned I am doing except moving to a new country (I have done this 38 years ago but who knows..) I am 62 writing my book planning giving my online course, at 60 I become an Access Bars practitioner and facilitator.. And my list just getting more and more exiting. Volunteering expend my heart. I love my wrinkles and gratitude to life growing every day.. Thank you awesome Verd :)
So beautiful to read, Daniela. Would you be willing to share a bit of the mindset/attitudes that helped you take 60 as such a great opportunity for a new life? That would definitely inspire all of us...
@@MindfulnessPlace At age 38 I was burnout and I felt like I was 70. I joined to a yoga concept called "The Art of Living" that based on a lot of breathing techniques meditation and a lot of knowledge how to create a better life and loving myself. It helped me to reduce stress and got my energy back. Since then I joined some other techniques as Vipassana, channeling healing.. What it really resonance with me and helped is "The Art of Living" , Laughter Yoga, and Access Consciousness! One of the saying in this concept is: "Your point of view creates your reality, not you reality creates your point of view!" Some of this similarity I found in your classes of "Master entrepreneur".. That is way I came all the way from Norway to your and Vered classes :-)
Thank you all for the inspiration! I made in the beginning of 2020 a plan and had to change it because of corona in the beginning of March 2020. In the year I turned 60 - 2014 - I started a business (1) and I had to learn to be an entrepreneur and followed Business Bootcamp and ...(2) Now I'm 65 and because of corona I cannot travel by train and go to offline networking events. I started to be a volunteer (4) during my study as a historian and enjoy my present hobbies (political party) and women's rights organisation (NGO) very much. In hindsight I became a board member in 2014 of an european NGO and have to leave the board in 2020. Now I want to learn (new stuff) and travel and make new friends (some passed away or ...) and mentor younger - 45+ - women (online). After following Elements of Success in 2016 I developed my ideal life step by step ... Now I have a healthy & vital body and mind, and I have enough money! Ideas from the comments I wrote down are walking from South to North in the NL and a biking route through Europe.
I am 79. Fit attractive mindful etc. Have had many professions ...now a writer...just completed my first book....which will be on Amazon ...self publishing is so easy now ...life for me will end only when I can't breath any more....but the key to having a quality of life is create a healthy lifestyle
@@renameagain5808 Hi MOKLAPP - I am sixty five. I think nearly everyone is scared of death but some aren't. For instance my mother as she got into her nineties was ready and wanted to go, as she had lived a long life. I too was very scared of death when I was your age, but am not as scared of it now. A priest at the time said to me that all your cells are replaced every seven years anyway, which, while not exactly true, is at least partially true, and that might help you in thinking about it. Also if you are not religious well we came out of nothingness so would just be going back to that. And religious beliefs are a comfort to many. All the best
Thank you that is a beautiful ideas I turned 60 two years ago ..I wrote a novel about my life it was successful and now I’m preparing to travel to uk and buy a retirement house for me and my husband thanks 😊
I would love to do all those things buy an RV Go To a different country most of the things you talk about take a lot of money though i’m 65 I’m in pretty good health But I have lost my entire family except for my son and he’s young and nice to have his own life it’s really lonely I used to have such an adventurous life I wish I can meet someone like you in my life bless you for trying to help
I'm sorry to hear about your loss, my deepest condolences. However, though buying an RV can be expensive, but if you use your creativity you'll find there are so many things you can explore and be adventurous with that do not involve money... I've always believed that you don't need money... you need... CREATIVITY!

I just turned 60 a few days ago. These past 12 years brought new starts 5 times after my marriage ended, started again, will now soon be divorced finally for good. I have two wonderful grownup children, two lovely grandchildren. I found myself a lovely new apartment after we separated last year in a nice little village, where there is a lot to discover yet. I reconnected with friends and also found new ones. I'm still working, officially I have to keep working for another 7 years but I wish I may find an alternative. My mother, now 88, still needs me to care and so I do spend as much time as I can with her. I dream of living elsewhere, maybe in a tiny house with a garden and help in a community where help is needed. The best I found out these days is that the reason, after all those changes in my life, that I'm happy and positive and life loving is that I am at home within myself. So I know I will be at home wherever I go. And I look forward to my years to come now that I'm 60!
I pray to God to give you a lot of beautiful days and I hope God bless you to have a great day, I'm David by name from Overbrook Philadelphia and you where are you from?.
Thank you for this video, at 32 I was already feeling like my life is over. Being an Indian guy, I completely sacrificed my 20's for academics. I look forward to getting back to my hobbies. Also, if life really starts at 60 I want to be prepared - mentally, emotionally, physically, and financially. Thank you
Yes you are right.. In India if people are not dying after 60 the society will kill them emotionally.. Helpless people die soon after frequently hearing demotivations and stories of deaths
Next Year I turn 60 and our goal is to live in Andalusia from November until April each year. Besides that we want to travel and see places from our bucketlist
Wow you’re so right! I started my own business at 63. Witch was not easy because there was no financieel backup( partner) I feel more healthy then when i was at 50❤️🌷 and yes the book about my life is finisched. I love to go to Peru and visit a dear friend who lives there. So when i get my pension next year when i turn 66 i’ll go there. In the meanwhile i am learning Spanish on thé Duolingo app! So tell me dear Vered how was it for you, learning Spanish when you moved to Tenerife?
WOW Anna that's truly a big step that you took, hat off for your courage... I'm still learning Spanish, never been good with languages, still can't speak proper Dutch after living 20 years in Holland, but here in Tenerife I somehow manage. I can understand most of the things, talking is still hard and frustrating, but I don't give up, the good thing of learning it at my age is that I have the patience that I didn't have in the previous years.
Thank you for sharing, Anna. What I would love to hear from you, is the mindset you had (or needed to develop) in order to start a business at 63... This can be so inspiring for all of us...
Good Life Redefined i use to work in healthcare , but when my second daughter died in 2012 I didn’t fit in any more. I started a education humanities and in 2017 i started my own business, to guid people with loss.
Vered Neta thank you 🙏🏼 its so much better to learn a lanquage when you can speak in daily.. I learned Hebrew a long time ago in the ‘70..when i was in israel for more then a year. I love this lanquage so much. The most disappeared over the years because I don’t Speak it anymore. So easy to learn a lanquage when you are young

So.... I turned 60 yesterday! And yes I am not my age! Someone said: You are a"Queen ager" Love that name! Need a little time before I am going on the road, but thats my plan for the nearby future. Taking a small camper visiting lots of people and places while working and earning money. And maybe after that .... a tiny home..... And Vered, we once had a conversation about me being a Celebrant. So in the future I wil change my direction into celebrating life and facilitating people that want to celebrate their life, important moments, anniversaries with rituals en ceremonies. New people has always been my interest ... So I keep going. I met some nice women in 2019 and lately and we became friends. Love the new Like to have some more male friends, maybe even a special one :-) About the younger people .... I love it!, the exchange, also because they are wise too! My own lifestory .... have some ideas with lots of beautifull stories from my mother, grandfather that have and had an effect on me. Thanks for your input on aging, invitations and challenges. The pandemic has changed the world so much. Everything on here used to be awesome. We have to overhaul our thoughts on what we can really do with joy and peace now. People are afraid of one another now. Limitations on every thing and everybody. People over 60 are now seen as if they started the plaque. We need a do over.
Well, a meditation of higher thoughts on how to represent what we want for the earth now. Achieving it would be different for everyone. For instance get interested in stuff you would have never done before. Like right now, I'm interested in the stars and elements. I would have never thought about it before. It takes my mind off planet for a minute.
Life isn't complicated... Life is simple... we are the ones that make it complicated... Just focus on how to simplify your life to those things that makes you happy and bring you joy...
As a 60 year old my advice focus on your loved ones, find a way to volunteer some time to something that speaks to you heart. Help other's around you the best you can. You will feel amazing.
Thanks for this wonderful input David. When you MUST work until you die, that's sad... However, I will also work until I die because it gives meaning for my life and that is the difference - it's a CHOICE that I can make
Thank you, Very, this video makes me think about what I want to add to my life before 60, I believe I will move to a new country and there you normally make new friends and study a new language.
Great idea... Now... the secret is starting by setting a goal and then “prototyping” it... meaning... trying this lifestyle/country for a week or two... not as a tourist, but as close as possible as a local... see if you like it or you need to move on. It took us 7 years of “prototyping” until we found “our” island... Any idea for a destination/climate/lifestyle/culture you’re looking for?
@@MindfulnessPlace I am thinking about it for a few years, climate needs to be warm and it more like south Europa, I didn't try to live in this place but every year we go hiking with a backpack and this way meet some of the local. Thank you for your honest comment. Every change is scary... but just remember that fear and excitement is the same. Only, in fear we stop breathing while in excitement we breath A LOT! Take a deep breath and do it anyway... whatever it is that you want to do and your heart calls you to do.

I like your ideas except the living in an RV thing. That is not appealing to me. I would feel like a lowlife if I did that. I like my home and my roots.
I hate to bust your bubble life starts when your 12 to 30 I should know I'm 58 and certainly not as attractive anymore and can't do the things like I used too even though I'm heathly and fit.its at times very depressing and stressful Deep down in side these old ladies say their happy they wish they could be young again. That's just my opinion and take on it.
Obviously, Debberra, you have the right to your opinion. Everything is just opinions. The question is which opinion would lead you to a more happier and fulfilling life? This video is an invitation to look at life in a different way than what society teaches us, which is that life belongs to the young ones. I CHOOSE to believe that being happy and having a great life has nothing to do with our age and that age is just a number. You can CHOOSE to believe something else just ask yourself if that brings you JOY?
Nice vid with motivational content. After having beaten in many fields with a mix of success and failure stories I am gonna become a media entrepreneur, writer and producer. I am desiring to put everything I learned from my plans and mistakes into the visual medium by crafting stories in doc films for the following generation. Might be worth learning for someone coming after.Love you.
Lonely has nothing to do with age or whether you have a partner or not. Some people feel especially lonely when they are in a relationship that is not good for them... On the other hand when you're 60 and have no partner you don't have to consider others opinions or wishes you can truly DO, BE and go for what YOU want and dream about.
Sorry to disappoint you but here are some famous people who only made it famous or started their career AFTER 60: 1. Judi Dench Although Dame Judi Dench has been a stand-out in her work for theatre and TV during her entire working career, she only became a household name in her 60s. Judi has received seven Oscar nominations, all of them when she was over 60. She won Best Actress in Supporting Role in 1999 for Shakespeare in Love. No other actor or actress has collected more nominations when older than 60. 2. Grandma Moses Anna Mary Robertson Moses, better known as Grandma Moses, didn’t start paining until the age of 76. She decided to give painting a go when she could no longer hold an embroidery needle due to her arthritis. Her works were spotted by an art collector who bought all her paintings and displayed them at the Museum of Modern Art in New York City. By the time of her death, her paintings hung in museums all over the world. 3. James Parkinson At the age of 62 James Parkinson identified Parkinson’s disease. His 1817 essay on Shaking Palsy lead to our conception of Parkinson’s today. Although others had previously written about shaking palsy, Parkinson’s descriptions were so in-depth that he inspired other pathologists to study the disease. 4. Frank McCourt Frank McCourt only took up writing at the age of 65. His book Angela’s Ashes won both the Pulitzer Prize and National Book Critics Circle Award. It was also made into a movie and there are even museums named after him now. 5. Colonel Sanders The Colonel did not start developing Kentucky Fried Chicken until he was in his 60s. Once his brand was developed and growing, he sold it in his 70s and lived comfortably for the rest of his years. 6. Karl Lagerfeld Although Lagerfeld pursued fashion from the age of 14, it’s only later in life he made a transformation to reign as head designer at Chanel at the age of 82. At the age of 68 he lost roughly 41kg as he wanted to wear the high fashion clothes he loved. 7. Kathryn Joosten Kathryn was a nurse and stay-at-home mum but after her marriage failed she decided to pursue her dream of being an actress. Close to the age of 60, she cracked into the industry and found success. Since then she has appeared in TV shows such as Family Matters, My Name is Earl and Desperate Housewives. She has also won two Emmy Awards.
Unfortunately that is not the truth. Your body is nearly worn out by then, that’s how life is. Enjoy yourself whilst you are young, make everyday count , do everything you want to do. Life flashes by QUICKLY!

Wonderful! Let us know which direction you're taking
Your advisor must be really good, how can I get in touch with them as my portfolio isn’t doing well.
Her name is "Dianne Sarah Olson" just research the name. You'd find necessary details to work with a correspondence to set up an appointment.

WOW! That's an exciting journey to take. Hope you trust yourself enough to do it and most of all enjoy this ride
You can do it alan!
Have you started with your study? I'm 56 and starting this September with my degree! My sons are attending University, so I have the time now.
I’m only 17 right now, but im going to save this video for 43 years and come back when I reach 60. ( well if I do even live that far 😬)

WOW! Nony! That sounds AMAZING, quite an adventure to take. Thanks for sharing it with us and would love to hear how it goes.

Happy to hear that. Curious to know what would YOU do?
I liked your spirit. Moving to another place was in my mind, BUT my wife may not be interested in leaving kids behind. They are grown up.
Might turn out by taking this on I moved myself to the world☺️
So yes...I’m ready 😃

@@MindfulnessPlace At age 38 I was burnout and I felt like I was 70. I joined to a yoga concept called "The Art of Living" that based on a lot of breathing techniques meditation and a lot of knowledge how to create a better life and loving myself. It helped me to reduce stress and got my energy back.
Since then I joined some other techniques as Vipassana, channeling healing..
What it really resonance with me and helped is "The Art of Living" , Laughter Yoga, and Access Consciousness! One of the saying in this concept is: "Your point of view creates your reality, not you reality creates your point of view!"
Some of this similarity I found in your classes of "Master entrepreneur"..
That is way I came all the way from Norway to your and Vered classes :-)
Wonderrful, Daniela.... So inspiring.
And thank you for sharing parts of your path.
Hi how are you doing today
WOW, Arina... thank you for sharing this part of your life.
Very inspiring.

Are you scared of death?
I'm 14 and I'm scared of death

Thak you for sharing with us Irene and I love your outlook at life...

Would love to hear what would YOU choose to do after 60?
The pandemic has changed the world so much. Everything on here used to be awesome. We have to overhaul our thoughts on what we can really do with joy and peace now. People are afraid of one another now. Limitations on every thing and everybody. People over 60 are now seen as if they started the plaque. We need a do over.
That's a great observation. Curious to know what would YOU do?
Well, a meditation of higher thoughts on how to represent what we want for the earth now. Achieving it would be different for everyone. For instance get interested in stuff you would have never done before. Like right now, I'm interested in the stars and elements. I would have never thought about it before. It takes my mind off planet for a minute.
Moving to another country sounds interesting.. but memories might spoil the whole thing
Then choose something else... what would you choose to do?
very nice..
Thanks a lot

I like your ideas except the living in an RV thing. That is not appealing to me. I would feel like a lowlife if I did that. I like my home and my roots.
Thanks for your honest comment. These are just SOME of MY ideas... it's meant to be taken all... curious to know what would be YOUR ideas...
Just celebrate my 60th b-day last November 18, 2023 so I am retired from my work now.
Would love to hear what you're going to do?
My aim,is to have a vo2 max of at least 41 ,when 60

@@MindfulnessPlace lol it’s how much oxygen you can take in 1minute for each 1kg of weight ,it’s a sign of fitness or lack of
Life itself is an adventure by default too????
Totally agree!
I want to volunteer but don’t want to get vaccine if I am recovered and have abundant antibodies.
That's a great start. Thanks

Would love to understand more
I’m only 12
Good time to start thinking...
60 isn’t so great if you have no partner. It’s pretty lonely.
💯😇❤️
Thanks
Would like to have early retirement☻🤔
and then what would you do?
💗👍💗
Thanks
Im 59. And dont know why im watching this 😢
Maybe to give you some inspiration???
60+16
Would be great if you explain more
Lots of people started the career that made them famous at 60. Yeah, who. Doesn’t name one.
Sorry to disappoint you but here are some famous people who only made it famous or started their career AFTER 60:
1. Judi Dench
Although Dame Judi Dench has been a stand-out in her work for theatre and TV during her entire working career, she only became a household name in her 60s. Judi has received seven Oscar nominations, all of them when she was over 60. She won Best Actress in Supporting Role in 1999 for Shakespeare in Love. No other actor or actress has collected more nominations when older than 60.
2. Grandma Moses
Anna Mary Robertson Moses, better known as Grandma Moses, didn’t start paining until the age of 76. She decided to give painting a go when she could no longer hold an embroidery needle due to her arthritis. Her works were spotted by an art collector who bought all her paintings and displayed them at the Museum of Modern Art in New York City. By the time of her death, her paintings hung in museums all over the world.
3. James Parkinson
At the age of 62 James Parkinson identified Parkinson’s disease. His 1817 essay on Shaking Palsy lead to our conception of Parkinson’s today. Although others had previously written about shaking palsy, Parkinson’s descriptions were so in-depth that he inspired other pathologists to study the disease.
4. Frank McCourt
Frank McCourt only took up writing at the age of 65. His book Angela’s Ashes won both the Pulitzer Prize and National Book Critics Circle Award. It was also made into a movie and there are even museums named after him now.
5. Colonel Sanders
The Colonel did not start developing Kentucky Fried Chicken until he was in his 60s. Once his brand was developed and growing, he sold it in his 70s and lived comfortably for the rest of his years.
6. Karl Lagerfeld
Although Lagerfeld pursued fashion from the age of 14, it’s only later in life he made a transformation to reign as head designer at Chanel at the age of 82. At the age of 68 he lost roughly 41kg as he wanted to wear the high fashion clothes he loved.
7. Kathryn Joosten
Kathryn was a nurse and stay-at-home mum but after her marriage failed she decided to pursue her dream of being an actress.
I'm 64 and my body and I am doing more sport than I have ever done and my body is in a grera condition, better than when I was in my '30s!!! It's all a matter of mindset.
At 50 plus degrees temperature who can even want to think of going out in such heat forget travel? Jee
This shall also pass. There will be cooler times and what would you want to do then?
@@MindfulnessPlace well now a days its like 4months of the year at such situations already? In our language an old saying nani yaad aa jayege maternal grandmother it means. Some of your suggestions are ok but ultimately its answers required jee????
Learning many above 60 are trying to do on autopilot mode already? Rich can keep adventuring they have the money obviously? To find your kind of people is another difficult task only. Groups rarely help and few want real world of life interaction and see others status only first fact in life? You try asking someone where you came from roots etc they get offended also? End of the day its a persons incomes earned?
Not sure I understand what you mean to say.
@@MindfulnessPlace very simple help assistance is of actual help in the real world of life in majority of the cases? Specifically the generation not born out of technology even more so????
I dislike the sound…”sixty”
why?
If you’re only turning 60 this year you should not be giving advice.
I wasn't giving advice I was sharing my experience and my plans... what would you suggest?
wait, You weren't even 60 when you made this video telling us that "the 60's" are actually great? How would you even know that? There's a big difference between 59 and 62.
I'm 64 now and I can tell you it's better than I even dreamt
Try 70, ugh
It's just a number, isn't it?
Verad, if I may say you look nothing near 60!!!!!
Thanks for the compliment... Like they say - Canadians are the nicest people... and as I said you look as you feel and age is only a state of mind...
What would you do after 60?
