My local Walmart has a bad habit of putting items in the "Clearance" section with "Clearance" price tags AT FULL PRICE. Like they are trying to fool me or something.
Taz shirt, Snake Mountain parts, Jeff Gordon shirt, Sony Speakers, Eagles Shirts, Opryland Visor, Pocket Watch, Tupperware lids, Rabbit plush, Panama Jack shirt, Trigger Plush , Raggedy Ann , Crossbody bag, Card bus, Headcovers, Old Navy Leggings, Easy Bake oven, Holy Bible, Merchandise , Disney Little Mermaid Ornament, Lennox Wonder Ball Ornaments, Atomic cup and Saucer. Thanks Kevin
I agree with the lower & reasonable price point. Cash flow is more important than maximizing the profit of every single item. Selling an item within a week for $40 and reusing that money over and over and over 10x, in the time it would take to get $150 for the shirt is way more valuable.
I watch all your videos & I loved your history segment! Super educational & interesting. I might not have done so badly in high school history if I had a cool teacher like you. I love to know about stuff, like your cabbage patch tutorial. It helps when out hunting for gems. Thanks! And so very sorry about your Uncle Gary
BE careful sir I said that same thing to my wife and she left me. we had a good thing going together until I said I might have to get rid of you. what i mean is she started her own account and now I can't touch her in sales LOL great content.
I don't know why people are so scared to ship things like glass and cups and saucers. I have over 3,000 items in my eBay store, much of which is glass, china, and pottery. I probably average one broken in the mail item once a year, if that, and when it happens it is because I did not follow my own rules of packaging.
I'm sorry for your loss. Prayers for your family. On a different note: I'm a new reseller and I think moving some items and loosing a buck or two is a good way to get going, to get some experience, plus I can be impatient so I'm trying to source items that sell fast, not necessarily for a super high profit.
Tell me how I can relate to 3 different things you talked about in this video LOL. 1 - When I went to Las Vegas last year I put it on away mode and still had sales for the week I was there. Came back for 2 weeks and went to visit family for another week and put it on away mode but thought it was weird I didn't have any sales. So on the way home I went to turn away mode off and like you didn't click the "allow sales" which is odd because just a few weeks prior I don't remember having to do that. 2 - My family moved from the Chicago area to Tennessee outside of Nashville in February of 1997. We got season tickets for Opryland that year and of course at the end of the year they closed down to build that stupid Mall. Definitely love and miss that place. 3 - I usually end and sell similar on my items but I noticed the other day if I didn't and they rolled over they weren't showing up on my listed items for sale. I had to physically search for them and they would pop up. Thought it was odd so I just ended and did sell similar and they showed.
Have you ever heard "happy wife happy life" or "behind every good man there is a better woman", she is a superstar. Condolences on your loss, I hope he flies with wings. The banter is fabulous. Good luck to you and yours
Yes Kevin. I'm going on vacation on Friday, and I set my away mode yesterday and almost did the same thing. At the last second I realized that "Hide Listings" was checked automatically. I didn't think that was the default either.
Perfect is the enemy of good enough. Years back, my college age daughter was home for the summer and The plan was to put her to work taking photos, for listings. She was, at the time, taking professional quality photos for a web site company customers (high end vacation rentals), so I figured photos for listings would be a snap for her. Turned out to not be so. I showed her a group of about 40 items and told her to shoot them while I had to drive into town and I’d be gone about 2 hours. When I got back her fancy digital camera only had a few photos on it. Seems she had taken hundreds, but dumped almost all of them because they weren’t “good enough” for her standards. I took her camera and the first item to be listed, shot 6 quick photos and showed them to her, saying this all I needed, because I couldn’t sell what wasn’t listed. It took her a long time to understand why her “fantastic” cover photos were a bad thing for my business.
I hope that since you aren't teaching anymore, you guys would take your family vacations in the late spring or early fall, instead of during the summer. Especially if you are going to theme parks! The prices are often cheaper (at hotels too) and the lines aren't nearly as long. Less crowds, less traffic, etc. If you go to Disney during the weekdays, and avoid any holidays or school breaks, you would be AMAZED at how much more you can do, and how much more fun you can have. 🐭
When I first started selling in the 80s I was told you find retail and sell for 1/2 and don’t pay more than a 1/5 but they didn’t have huge fees and high postal fees then so I just do like everyone now I find comps get my best price. Who remembers selling with newspaper ads and a hardwired phone I am only 60 guys this is a new world lol snap click post 10 minutes later Cha Ching sold and paid lol I have to edit through the videos but hey you guys are so like me I do sound more harsh to others than I do to myself and You have an angel there, better turn those hearing aids up son lol ❤ the kids are the best ❤️
You have to "Keep Things Moving". I buy all the time and can't hold onto everything. Rather sell stuff in quantity and move than to wait for big price.
I wish you had an mens XL Eagles shirt. My husband was raised in Philadelphia. We met and married. I am born and raised in Missouri, we live in Missouri. It is quite funny, he loves the Eagle's and is loyal to them, BUT, he feels he should also support Kansas City. I told him I can wear a Chiefs shirt and he cab wear an Eagles shirt.
My wife is so bad at finding stuff even though we have a location system that it is often faster for me to go down the steps on my butt and get something rather than have her get it. I still wouldn't trade her for the world.
@@commonwealthflipper no it doesn't. Give your wife her appreciation. It's due. Seriously, don't be a mean guy. She's a beautiful woman and she's completely out of your league. Sorry, calling it.
If you’re a true follower of his channels then you’d see they have a very beautiful relationship & they treat each other equally as loving. So go back under your bridge troll This GOAT 🐐 doesn’t need your permission to cross the bridge
Hello! You both are right. Yet, it SOLD quickly and you made a decent profit! At $75 it may have sat for weeks if not months. Don’t mess with Momma!!! 🤣
On the discussion of the tea cups taking a year to sale. Do you put a value on shelf space? I rent a storage unit, so it’s one of the things I think of when sourcing.
I'm Sorry about the loss of your Uncle Gary. May God bless you and your family during this time. I enjoyed watching your Top 10 Video on cereal toys. Would love to see more videos like that. Thanks for another great video.
Fire Blue Ridge Mama, ahh I don’t know about this. Do you ever want to eat again, or sleep in the house ever again. Kevin I would rethink this if I were you. 😊😊😊hahahaha, lol lol😊
I'm going to try to get somebody to take pics for me. And maybe help list. Of course my store is in my bedroom so I don't have tons of items like you full time sellers. Your wife was obviously hurt. You really need to do something nice for her like take her to Dairy Queen for an ice cream lol
I did a very thorough, albeit poor, video explaining my thought process when pricing items with unique comp scenarios - no active listings or past sales, no active listings with past sales, having the only item in new condition with active listings for the same item in used condition, having the only specific size of an item. For example, I just listed a rare Don Post Halloween mask. Doing research on Terrapeak, the only one on eBay in used condition sold for $85 plus shipping. Because it was the only one, you wonder if they could have gotten more. Mine is now the only one on eBay and it's not used but new with tags. In this scenario, I increase the price for having the only one and increase it even more for the difference in condition (new versus used). My theory isn't foolproof but it works more often than not. With your shirt, I would have at least doubled the last sold price because it would still be cheaper than the only other listing. This would make a great conversion on a real reselling podcast if you had one.
Kevin, I flip sports cards and have. Channel for doordash/gig work. Huge history lover and just enjoy your laid back personality. I watch you for you and your personality as I feel like many of us do. Thanks for just being you. I also watch trash 2 cash because you bring balance to the chaos
Hey Kevin, love your content. I made 3 sales on Bonanza last year. You are right, no extra work involved. I wonder what their annual revenue is? Can't be much for sure, lol.
HAHA! Heather can fire you too! Then the kids will be the bosses! BRM's right, btw... LOL I'll have to look for the cereal video, sounds good. So sorry for the loss of your dear uncle Gary!
My dad used to sell Slush Puppies at his store. All the kids in the neighborhood loved them!
I’m really sorry about the loss of your Uncle Gary. May peace surround your family during this time.
My local Walmart has a bad habit of putting items in the "Clearance" section with "Clearance" price tags AT FULL PRICE. Like they are trying to fool me or something.
I sold those same Sony Mini-Speakers. Buyer returned them because the sound quality sucked. I took them to goodwill.
Taz shirt, Snake Mountain parts, Jeff Gordon shirt, Sony Speakers, Eagles Shirts, Opryland Visor, Pocket Watch, Tupperware lids, Rabbit plush, Panama Jack shirt, Trigger Plush , Raggedy Ann , Crossbody bag, Card bus, Headcovers, Old Navy Leggings, Easy Bake oven, Holy Bible, Merchandise , Disney Little Mermaid Ornament, Lennox Wonder Ball Ornaments, Atomic cup and Saucer. Think about this... If momma ain't happy....
It doesn’t matter what we think, BRM will let you know she’s ALWAYS RIGHT!!😹
Me and my wife both have a eBay accounts and we help each other.
So sorry to hear about your Uncle Gary. Prayers for you and your family. Hey, I do enjoy those history lessons. Keep it up!

Tear him up blueridge mama
Awe poor Blue Ridge Mama. I can't imagine her yelling. She seems so nice.
LOL
As we always say when we sell something that could have sold for more, We say it’s best not be greedy. We appreciate what we get.

Sleeping in the supply hut tonight
Uhg, I have so much fear and anxiety from my mistakes at work. So sorry for the loss of your uncle. ❤
Sorry to hear about your uncle. I just lost my mom this week. She was 103!!
I had a set of those little speakers and loved them. I also had a portable CD player I used hem with. Good up the good work.
Have you ever heard "happy wife happy life" or "behind every good man there is a better woman", she is a superstar. Condolences on your loss, I hope he flies with wings. The banter is fabulous. Good luck to you and yours

When you are married , you can be right or you can be happy but , You can not be both .
sorry for your loss my Condolences to you and your family
So sorry for your family’s loss. 🙏
I am so sorry to hear about your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this sad time.

Do I see whiskers? Are you trying to be triplets on Trash To Cash? Love it!
relisting fees on something you have had for over a year on your store would really eat in to the profit
My condolences to you and your family regarding the loss of your Uncle Gary. :(
Hello Kevin & BRM 💙💜💙💜 Happy Wednesday 🥳🥳🥳
That opry visor is so nice I would have listed it for 50$ or at least at the beginning.
It was nice knowing you Kevin
lol

Thank you for your videos Kevin I love what you purchase and sell!!! 🥰 Be nice now ( J/K )
if you get a blank page when you try to buy postage, sign out of ebay and sign back in. Problem solved.
DUDE ! I Know!! Its hard to work with women!!! Get rid of her, she's wearing you down, women are children!
Lets Go Birds!
I keep telling myself, I'm trying to sell stuff, not store stuff.
I got the Opryland Visor :) RIP Opryland I live right by where it was. I have an unbelievable amount of stuff
When I first started selling in the 80s I was told you find retail and sell for 1/2 and don’t pay more than a 1/5 but they didn’t have huge fees and high postal fees then so I just do like everyone now I find comps get my best price. Blue Ridge mama is correct
You have to "Keep Things Moving". I buy all the time and can't hold onto everything. Rather sell stuff in quantity and move than to wait for big price.
Kevin is Nice! You are blessed lady!♡
My deepest sympathies for your Uncle Gary; May he in peace. 🙏✝️.

I hope Randall realizes that that watch is likely NOT vintage.
Sorry to hear your uncle passed. I hope everyone is doing ok.
Said in calm voice "Honey this could have listed for $5 more" Wife hears "WHY O. EARTH DIDN'T YOU LIST THIS FOR MORE" thus insulting her intelligence.
lol. I suppose it goes both ways.
@@commonwealthflipper no it doesn't. Give your wife her appreciation. It's due. Seriously, don't be a mean guy. She's a beautiful woman and she's completely out of your league. Sorry, calling it.

I’m so sorry to you Kevin and the family. I just heard about Uncle Gary. Rest In Peace. My condolences. To the Brown Family 🙏🏼😇
Very sorry for your loss
I'm lucky to make one or two sales a month. So, going a day without a sale is normal.
Hello! You both are right. Yet, it SOLD quickly and you made a decent profit! At $75 it may have sat for weeks if not months. Don’t mess with Momma!!! 🤣
Great video enjoy watching thank you for sharing 🎉🎉🎉

You can’t fire BRM, she’d say she had already decided to quit!

I’m pretty sure you would have gotten 75$ for that shirt just as quick!
So sorry to hear about your uncle passing, prayers for your family.
I see you write things down like me :). That's good I thought I was the only one. 😆 🤣 😂 😹 😆

HAHA! Heather can fire you too! Then the kids will be the bosses! BRM's right, btw... LOL
I'll have to look for the cereal video, sounds good.
So sorry for the loss of your dear uncle Gary!
How many times have you made a comp error and then get a public video made about it?
Probably 20 times. I always point them out.
