Exquisitely magnificent.. this performance and transcription represent an evolutionary leap for the guitar literature, incorporating faithfully as it does the complex and subtle harmonic creations of the great French master, bringing the classical guitar out of its entrenched Latin realm and into the impressionistic world, and evolutionary advance for which it has been waiting a long time. there are of course Christopher parkening's wonderful solo transcriptions of Ravel as well as Debussy and Satie, but this is particularly dazzling in its tonalities and ensemble work. Hats off to you gentlemen.. continue on to all of ravel's playable works!
I've always loved this piece - especially the slow movement; transcribed and played here to perfection. Those instruments sound like pure quality [as do the players].
Gentleman, you have achieved a miracle... This piece by my favorite composer is the living definition of exquisite... And the rendering on the classical guitars, as Chopin rightly said, only makes it more exquisite. Any chance you would be able to produce an all-revel album?
@@josephmarcello7481 Thank you very much! You never know. So far we have recorded Sonatine and Ma mère l'oye, they're on our first album: open.spotify.com/album/7oEwg8CN2OAnwx5wQLmbZo?si=K1YAnSVPTDS6RYQtwlPaVw
this is criminally underrated

Love their interpretation! I hope that one day they play "une barque sur l' ocean" from Ravel
