What sort of blueprinting did you do for the manifold adapter to make sure of the fuel delivery from the carburetor?? Do you find there is any power loss or gain compared to the OEM carb
Greetings! I am writing to you from Italy. I bought a used carburettor, which the previous owner bought from her. The carburetor is a HSR42 Specific for honda xt 600. I'm putting it on a yamaha xvs 1100. Could you please have an idea of how to set the jets approximately? Now mount a 57.5 maximum jet and a 32 minimum jet.
It depends on what you're doing with the bike. For tight trails and around town the stock progressive vacuum operated set up is great but, if you're doing performance upgrades to increase top end power, the stock carbs limit potential. Maintenance and tuning are easier with a single carb as well, though some people have adapted dual carbs off a Kawasaki 250 twin.
