very nice build! I'm planning to do the same thing with my old laptop! can you tell me about the CPU fan? did you use one from a Desktop pc? any tips? thanks!
We need mass production of that. That is literally the sexiest PC case I've seen so far! With replacement of some parts with more expensive ones, I would no cap buy it!
im doing a very similar project using parts from a laptop with a broken screen. except im integrating a desktop gpu to replace the dedicated graphics, and im going to water cool the cpu and (maybe) overclock it to 3.0Ghz. luckily for me i have a laser cutter at my disposal, so that's going to make cutting all the acrylic infinitely easier.
It would be cool to place a screen on the flat surface maybe a lifted up one, but make sure you put a panel to redirect the hot air flow coming out to sides or maybe the top, and then place a screen there that way it can be a portable pc just need a wireless keyboard and mouse
I like that you had a vision and went after it! I understand this video is a little old now but I'm just now finding it and your channel so please understand that for my comment notes. :3 Right away, I could tell there would be a thermal issue, not because of the parts selected but because of the case layout and design. I have no issue with whatever shape a person wants to have their case in or the layout but in the afterthought for thermal properties there has to be some understanding there. Thus, I was wondering what material you are using here for the case, and as I can see in your details you are using "Sintra board". After researching this material, it's used for signage and can be heat formed, and is made of a PVC material. Ok. Keep in mind that most cheap computer cases are made of steel or aluminum, which have better heat absorbing properties as well. I think that your use of "Sintra board" is perfectly fine for a trial run, a mock up, and a sort of cheap proof of concept material but not for long term use. Thoughts: 1. I think you could add in some passive ventilation holes or slots or patterns along the highest reaching parts of the case, on the back side. Unless you have a definitive direction of push and pull for air routing planned within the case to come into one side of the case and out of the other side of the case, then there will be heat pockets where your case and PC parts might overheat. Heat naturally rises and all computer cases get warm. There usually isn't enough room in most of them to have any cold or very cool pockets of air. Also, it's best to keep air moving throughout the whole case for all parts health. 2. Some kind of mesh could be use instead of those slats cut into the case. If the slots are necessary for aesthetics, then they should be the main focal points seen, and they could be modified to perform better. On the inside of the case, you could route the slats so on the inside of the case they are something like a triangular shape, thus reducing surface tension for airflow, at least a tiny bit, depending on how much air pressure is moving throughout the case. 3. I think if you did anything else with this as a kind of mock up, if you rebuilt it with modifications to the panel edges to include interlocking joinery or tabs or mortise and tenon or dovetail joints, then it would hold up on it's own much better, become a stronger overall construction, and would have a way for the panels to self-align together more easily. Keep being creative and making new stuff! There's a lot more to learn here with the construction of cases even if in plastics. It's a fascinating industry on how it's all made. Thank you for the video. :3
Awesome! COuld one take any laptop and replace the mobo theoretically and still have the sreen and keyboard work with your own choice of internal components?
Do u have one video of Transform old laptop To transparant laptop with modern BIG battery OLED screen backlight keyboard HDcam tunderbOlt slot and 5.1 speaker inside?? Dont think abOut GPU like PC 1st
Bhai mere pass hp all in pc h jis k display work 😔nhi kar rha h or us maine hdmi or vrg cable or adapter bhi h maine kese external display use karu bro plz tell me😔
500 sub hype!
Also this is my first upload in a month because of university hell week, or to be more exact, hell month.
Hope you guys enjoy :)
love your builds EJ! & your workshop talks and demo, great stuff.

Brother I just loved your video. It was incredible and nothing like I have ever seen
We're r u from
It's a cool build and it shows you put your heart into it, just as it was meant to be

that is beautiful. nice work
Beautiful PC case! You could attach LEDs inside then you would have a desk lamp through the glass pane.
Nice work there! Love the power button. I have a scrapped alienware laptop that is sitting in a box. I should do something with it, eh?

Can we watch your project too?
nice build! keep up the good work. love how you edit videos too!
Thanks :)

Amazing design. You should've used some soft lighting.
That"s a sick lil case !
Congratulations! I try to do the same. You are the Real Tony Stark!

Good job dude!, what material did you used for laptop case?
Nice case idea man! But please change the way you select music for your videos, it sounds like every other video out there.

definitely not. both need to fit the connector at least.
whats the material you used to make the case bro .....great work looks stunning

I really love it ! I would like to know if it's possible to put Water cooling to CPU? Thx
Hello, what material do you use for the box?
Dude, can you do 3D modeling?
Slight modification of the design and it could be a nice AIO-PC using desktop parts.
Awesome design but WHY THAT MATERIAL??? Go for something more sleek like acrylic...
You need a better cpu fan.
I have a laptop whose display is dead. If I attach external display, will it run automatically like this?
yes definitely
Why everyone is making laptop to desktop and not the other way around. Build a custom laptop folks. And while you are at it make it quirky😅
