Yeah, I agree. Sure, the population will still live on. But it's better to at least try and control their numbers as much as possible. I think people are ridiculous when it comes to "I don't want to kill just because"...
I'm from Maryland and we have the northern snakehead up here that are so fun to catch and delicious eating! I swear it I'm going to take a trip to Florida and my goal is to get a bullseye, clownknife, and a peacock
Let me know when you're here. I can guide you for all 3. My PB snake is about 7 lb, clownknife is about 7 lb. And peacock is about 6 💥🎣 I'm located in west palm beach about an hour north of Miami. The fishing here is just as Florida as it gets.
You caught so.many fish 🐟 brother!! That snakehead on topwater was Epic....love those Peacock Bass too - they fight so hard! Florida is an amazing fishery both freshwater and saltwater.....looking forward to more videos brother!
Are there alot of ponds/lakes like that down there I have only ever fished the canals in south Florida for peacocks, largies, pacu and talaps never saw bowfin or snakedheads or even knife fish
Respect for releasing that big snakehead, like it or not it's your newest gamefish. Boomers made them sound alot worse than they actually are lmao. Better than largemouth in every metric.
Old information. Research has found they aren't having the impact once believed, thus the reason why catch and release where caught is perfectly legal.
“Mad that you released it” ? I guess you must be a younger angler if you think that it’s “nice catch and release”. You must not remember when you could go out and catch 40 to 50 snakehead in a day because they took over the waterways and killing everything in their paths . The only reason why we can still fish for other species of fish is because the law of killing snakehead when caught. So you might not be a idiot but ignorance can’t be that bliss.
@@swkelley FWA still recommends keeping them but you’re correct it’s not annihilating local populations as they thought but every bite they take is one a native didn’t. That said apparently they eat cane toads which is a plus. Florida is such an invasive mess. With the canal system ruining the proper hydro cycle all the way through to the pythons. Interesting to see how it will balance out in the future.
Can you help me get some snake heads please. I been driving around Brower County and I had no luck. Even if its a little one I would greatly appreciated
Braided line + Top Water Frog. Long cast 3-6 feet off the bank. Steady retrieve. Sometimes you'll see the fish dart out and follow the frog other times you just see a strike. Wait a second or two before you set the hook. When you do set...set hard. Almost any canal should have them.
@@robertpalma9176 most of the time it’s not about seeing them. Lots of casts and walking. I’ve had success in Coral Springs, sunrise and Plantation. All along state road 84 is decent. All the canals connected. Stick with it.
Great job brother I love watching your video. I am currently living in Las Vegas, Nevada still looking for the property in Florida now. I wonder if there are any snakehead in Kissimmee?
They're not typically that far north, you can find them more towards the Ft. Lauderdale and West Palm Beach areas. Kissimmee is loaded with monster largemouth's though, and a great place for crappie.
Dude, Where is this at I’m in southeast Florida I neeed this spot 😅
That's the most snakehead looking pond I've ever seen.
Funny and true
Where in south Florida is that peacock spot with all those rocks?!
