Graphic Novels are just comic books that are longer and more fleshed out than say a regular comic, that’s shorter and fits into a series. Nothing before Relapse or after, fits with Relapse. It’s it’s own thing. Like a Graphic Novel. Also, the term “graphic” could be considered a double as “Relapse” is very graphic in the content. Horrorcore. Em got crazy hate for this album based on the content and “accents”. As a Stan, it isn’t personally my favorite. BUT...the production and cadence on the album are top notch. The only* song I really skip over is “Insane”. It just so nasty I can’t even play it. But there are some bangers on this album, especially on the “Refill” bonus tracks.

Not gona lie, in 09 I thought Em fell off when I first heard relapse, I was expecting some G unit era toy soldiers /patiently waiting shit but like 2-3 years after that I fully realized the genius and it's 1 of 1, the theme of the album, the writing and flows and the dre beats were just incredible
I love the “serial killer” Eminem. The story telling is just incredible. And Stevie “got me boppin to Buffalo bill” 😂 Watching Stevie enjoy the music and dancing is enjoyable to watch.

Its like an excellent, actually terrifying, sometimes gruesome, darkly comic collection of classic horror films (Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Psycho, SOTL, The Exorcist, Deranged, original The Hills Have Eyes, Evil Dead films, Motel Hell-one of my fav. films) transferred to an album. He holds nothing back here, and gives us a transcendent horrorcore masterpiece. Don't care what anyone says, it's genius.
