Dr McGilchrist talks in some depth about meaning, and how the brain's hemispheres look for meaning in different ways. He also discusses the nature of relationships - and not 'things' - as our reality, which is a theme from his new book.

This is paradigm altering, the stuff of leaps & bounds! Relationships honor connectedness between the most disparate elements. The deeper, more hidden, & far-reaching lie at the heart of insightful discovery & transformative learning.

This brilliant body of work is greatly assisting me in developing a new school of economic thought that emerges from a left right brain integrated consciousness. Studying economics with this brain function awareness is revealing the fundamental incompleteness and fragmented understanding of economics by economists and the commoners. Every academic discipline will benefit this brain awareness. The humanities are in dire need of this understanding. The Holistic Integrationist is on the way, a new school of thought for the 21st century.

I listened to the jungian Ian Laird who also used war at the top of the list of meaningful things!
I'm yet to read The master and his emissary, but it's on the top of my list!

Thought is not the real but the street sign to living as a human being. We are not a human thinking, but now believe we are. People think something and think it is done. That's why nothing gets fixed or done anymore by the government

Great video, but every time I hear that 'the brain is the most complex thing in the universe' I am shocked and puzzled. I suggest that the internet is, what shall we say, a billion times more complex? Of course it depends on how you define complex, and I know that the brain is thought to contain 10^11 neurones each with around 10^4 connections, etc, but these are surely small numbers compared to what exists now on the internet in terms of servers full of computers full of chips full of transistors. I have single USB drives (2TB) with 10^12 bytes or 10^13 bits each needing at least one transistor. That's pretty amazing, though they are not brains in themselves. Any challengers?

50 years ago I had a girlfriend who eventually ran off with a cult. She would do these Lord Michael chants. Lord Michael before, L.M behind, LM to the right L.M to the left, LM above LM below LM LM where ever I go… I still miss her, My beautiful daughter once said to me, Dad keep what’s worth keeping and with the breath of kindness blow the rest away !!!
❤thank you bright man, thank you.

Yes, that is what it's for ! My concern is for the use ,or rather misuse of such newly found understanding in regards it's application to artificial intelligence. If Peterson's latest hypothesis should prove its own validity , we will have a new , "light-speed" evolutionary process ,that being one vastly out of step with our tiny world and the life which continually springs from it; all in it's own sweet time.
Yes , the Bull will be free of his yoke....
what will he himself become ?
